He was just literally referring to Telugu film industry only. Superstar Yash said this dark truth about south Indian film industries that there are lots of discrimination between industries. Telugu is the top industry in south in terms of production and stars and Kannad is the least one. But the success of the KGF has brought kannad industry in the lime light even though kannad had produced many masterpiece yet they always had a hard times in whole south film industry cceremonies or award function etc.

This is why Rajamouli sir will forever be remembered in the history of Indian Cinema. Short sighted reviewers may write off Baahubali as a just entertainment cinema for the masses, but its significance stands above any film released in the history of Indian Cinema as it bulldozed barriers that had been created by Bollywood for over a century against South Indian Cinema. They wanted Bollywood to be the only main Industry in India forever so they can have control and place south Indian cinema below them. Just like now, they want Hindi to be the only language in India so they can place south Indians as second class citizens. It all comes down to power and politics. Salute to you Rajamouli sir for destroying the barriers and uniting the country for INDIAN CINEMA. The word bollywood should be thrown away. It should be called hindi cinema, marathi cinema, bengali cinema, punjabi cinema, telugu cinema, kannada cinema, tamil cinema, malayalam cinema, etc and TOGETHER we form INDIAN CINEMA.

Thanks to all the film directors who made northies and politicians recognise these languages and regions. What these directors achieved is more than a cinema.

I don't think it has anything to do with North Indians. There has been a stereotype among the people of Southern States that North Indians are ignorant about them and their culture. Its not true. The sole reason lies in South- Indian Characters played in Bollywood movies.
Most of the time these movies have characters( South Indian) with long names ,fake accent and headshake which are wrong. We do love actors like Ravi Teja, Chiranjeevi, Mammootty, Mohanlal ,Pawan Kalyan and many more.

@@techtipscenter1171 Bro...every Indian knows your so called language called Hindi. We are also multi-lingual as you are. I can speak Telugu, tamil, english and hindi..because in south India here they have hindi as second language. We know how to speak, read and write in Hindi. People in south are more multilingual than you guys. If we are respecting one Indian language...that doesn't mean that we demean any other Indian languages. In Telugu movies, we have special place for Bengali, Tamil, Odia, Marathi and punjabi. we have some movies which have beautiful backdrop of those respective states. In telugu there is a song in one movie called "choodalani undi" which explains the beauty of Kolkata. We have one full song or partial song in Hindi in a full fledged telugu movie. But we didn't receive any respect inspite of maintaining a tag called unity in diversity. Recently a minister from UP if i am not wrong, said that people who don't speak Hindi should be thrown out of country and he also added that hindustan means people who speak Hindi. These many days I thought that hindustan means country which is having hindu as majority. These many years since independence or before independence we accepted Hindi to be in our curriculum and we respected it. Infact Hyderabad has approx 8% of Hindi speaking population. We respect any language irrespective of any region or religion but not at the cost of our mother tongue or any other regional language. We deserve the same respect that we are giving to Hindi. Divide and rule policy by politicians can't influence educated people like us. These linguistic barriers shouldn't divide us. If we are saying something about our language and insults we have faced that doesn't mean that we are defaming you or offending your speeches and actions. Our only request is not to insult us to prove your region, religion or language is great.

They still laughed at me , even few teachers told me that South cinema is senseless. I felt really bad. It's our fault that we never acknowledged South cinema and overhyped cringe of bollywood, we never acknowledged good movies from bollywood too. We need to praise quality cinema regardless of in which language it is. There was never a north and south division from viewers point of view. We( as North Indian viewers) had limited access to the gems from South. In the 1990s, we only knew about Rajnikanth, Kamal Hassan, Cheeranjeevi, Nagarjuna, etc. We watched only those things (Hindi movies) that were served to us, we had no other means to watch the South Indian movies. Now this barrier has been removed, the South Indian movies are far better than most of the Bollywood movies. Allu Arjun, the most stylish actor, the whole Indian cinema has ever produced. Rajnikanth, the God of Mass following. Kamal Hassan, the one, whose releases can never be missed. SS Rajamouli, "A SS Rajamouli film" is enough to make a movie blockbuster. The list goes on. My first proper South Indian movie was Magadhira, then Engeyum Epothham (don't remember the name exactly). Now, I always prefer South Indian movies over Bollywood Ones.

    But
Started watching dub back in 2015 after my brother forced me to give it a try. first south indian movie I watched was "MASS"
they used to air dub version on UTV action.
I had no clue about heros and story line at all. With time I fell in love with south indian movies.
after learning that so many bollywood movies copied from south industry that was point of no return and Little respect I had for bollywood was completely gone in that moment.
and most important point why I only Support and encourage people to watch South Indian movies Now is
Hindu culture and values shown in positive light to the world.
    It's beyond words.❤️❤️❤️
On other hand Bollywood is complete trash like a mole in india which is trying to eat away our Identities and history literally everything we have.
It's a sweet slap on face of drugies nepotism Bollywood.

Almost all the legendary Top Bollywood actresses r from south.
Learn about graphics used in Mayabazar (1950's), Ammoru (1990's), Shankar directed movies, till bahubali and RRR‼️
Music legends r from south‼️ national award winners r from south‼️
Many of Bollywood hits r remake of South movies‼️

It’s just so soothing how he takes Kannada and Tamil legends with their titles as well. Like “Kannada Kanteerava” and “Nadigar Thilagam”.
Sorry if Tamil words wrongly typed

I don't know what people from hindi cinema are thinking about south film industry but people from hindi belt support and have a fan base for you sir. Maybe more than your state. It is reflecting now and will keep reflecting in future. Set max used to telecast south movie on daily basis and we used to watch it this is our teen age memories. I may have seen shivaji the boss 10 times at least on those days
