Thank you, Rich and Cindy. After watching this review we booked a few nights during our trip south.
Thanks for watching! We're trying to find a place in South Carolina to spend Thanksgiving with our Airstream and Myrtle Beach SP has one site left. We're going to book it unless you got it first!
Thank you! I'm going this December so this video is still very relevant. Camping rates are higher now, but worth it, I think.
Thanks for watching! We'll be back in the Carolinas soon and may hit MB again.
great tank top
Thanks for watching! We had to think on that one. We're like - it was cold in Myrtle Beach. But yes, that tank top at Chewacla worked...
Edisto Beach SC State Park! Right on the ocean and absolutely no development! It's gorgeous.
Thanks so much for watching and the comment! I tried to get into James Island County Park for T-Giving but it was all sold out. Maybe I'll try Edisto around that time.
Beautiful park and your video is a great diversion from the tragic events happening to all of us. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! We like making our videos and are glad they can provide a nice diversion.
If you come back to sc you have to stay at huntington beach state park...
Thanks for watching! Great point on Huntington Beach. We heard many people making the same recommendation.
MBST is a great campground. Best line on you tube.... dog poo equivalents! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! I almost added a D.P.E. graphic. Maybe I should have...
Thanks, looks like a great park!
Thanks for watching! We hope to try it again in the summer.
Love SC! I lived there for 12 years.
Thanks for watching and we totally agree. Aside from my 4 years at The Citadel, my parents lived in Charleston for 15 years and we always enjoyed going there.
Nice video! And the Civilian Conservation Corps was a brilliant innovation in a time of great need ... put young men to work, and created a powerful legacy of parks still in use today ...
Thanks for watching! Everybody says how our National Parks are such a treasure - and I totally agree. However, I'll add that State Parks are also wonderful and in many cases the CCC is responsible.
@@LuvSubbin The impact of the Civilian Conservation Corps is profound in the states in the Southeast. Georgia, for example, has a string of excellent parks across the northern part of the state, all built by the CCC. An outstanding example of the CCC's legacy is Georgia's Roosevelt State Park (actually southwest of Atlanta). I'd recommend a visit and a video ...
Thanks for the recommendation and we'll put it on our list - I have a video in mind for the Atlanta area. We have been blown away by Georgia State Parks. In 2019 we visited Magnolia Springs and Little Ocmulgee. I recall the latter had a beautiful lodge built by the CCC.
My Wife and I love the Myrtle Beach area. We stay on the northern end at Apache and Myrtle Beach Travel Park. But after your review an trip to the state park seems a great Idea! Thanks for a great review!
Thanks for watching! I still can't believe that I went to The Citadel for 4 years and my parents lived in Charleston from 1992 - 2015 and I never made it to Myrtle Beach. But we'll be back...
We love Charleston also! We have family there and stay at James Island County Park. Its Awesome your a Citadel Grad. Such a beautiful area.
That's where we stay when we're in the Charleston area. It is a wonderful park.
We stayed at MB state park back in September we are at ocean lakes right now for the next week we really liked the state park both are great places in the area
Thanks for watching! We're hoping to get back there this summer...
Thanks LuvSub for another informative Video. Will definitely add MBSP to our list! Since you said to add favorite parks in the comments, folks should consider Palo Duro State Park near Amarillo Texas. Not far from the Mother Road/I-40. Another great park built by the CCC it is loaded with historical significance. Spring and Fall are the best times and the views from your campsite at the bottom of the canyon can't be beat. The only downside is that super large rigs would be oversized for the sites.
Thanks for watching and the recommendation. We flew through Amarillo back in 2019 so we will put Palo Duro on our list the next time we're there.
Great review- and your so right about the horse crap -- we never understood that 🍻
Thanks for watching! At least horse poo is so huge you're less likely to step in it...
Check out Hickory Run SP in PA or Letchworth State park in NY.
Thanks for watching! Letchworth S.P. is already on are list and we will add Hickory Run!
When did you graduate Citadel?
Thanks for watching! Proud member of the Class of 1988.
What month did you visit?
Thanks for watching! We were there in November of 2020.
Thanks for this video. Heading to that park Wednesday to tent camp. Interesting information about the CCC.
Thanks for watching! We loved it there and hope to return. If you get out to Murrell's Inlet, there are some nice restaurants and an excellent seafood store - the Triggerfish we grilled was seriously some of the best fish ever!
We are looking to tent camp this summer there? How do you see campsites to know which one to pick? Let me know any recommendations when you get back. Hope you have a great time
Nice video, recommend at least 10 minutes long.
Thanks for watching! We totally agree on the 10 minute thing and think our sweet spot is about 13 minutes. Maybe next week...
