Do They Know It? #139 - DO COLLEGE KIDS KNOW 80s MUSIC? #12 (REACT: Do They Know It?) - ZĂĄbava
âI love everything by Queenâ
But doesnât know who sings under pressure. Lmao
Queen is niceđ
Also struggles to name any
How can anyone not know Toto's Africa and Queen & Bowie's Under Pressure... How... Help me...
Jun Kitami exactly and how does one not like Africa by toto
However, she did know "Hold the line".
Can we talk about the fact the Red hoodie guy was like "I don't really like it either" for Africa đ man's has 0 tastes
@@sady3327 0 taste, 0 knowledge and 0 interesting to say yet he is the only one in every video?
They probably think that âAfricaâ is by Weezer or Weird Al Yankovic :-)
Saw Freddie Mercury and I clicked :)
Hope MacDonald Moonwlker same
sameđ
Yeah me too i saw Freddie Mercury and thought: QUEEEEEEEEN
Lol same
Hope .lowkeydancevibes same
Ugh. Not knowing Queen hurt my heart.
I was born in 1996 and I would always choose to listen to 80s music instead of 90s music.
And I always wish I was born before we lost Freddie.
IMO, there was lots of great music in the '90s, but most of it didn't get very popular.
I was also born in 1996 and love listening to 80âs music more then the 90âs and the music from nowadays
THERES NO EXCUSE FOR YOU TO NOT KNOW MY VOICE DARLINGS
Iâm guessing you used to be a Freddie Mercury fan boy?
EXACTLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
YESSSSSSSSS
hahahah best comment tho
only came for freddie and bowie
Fernando Guadarrama same
Same here
Same
Queen is overrated
@@nielrohlinger4954 nope
You can really trust Adam when it comes to music
FREDDIE MERCURY IS SUCH A LEGEND!
âI love Queenâ
*Names 3 of their most popular songs including the one they just listened to*
8:55 when he was ranting that he was born in 1995. I was born in 2002 and I knew these songs. Because my parents play these all the time
It's hilarious that everyone thinks of "Born in The USA" as this really patriotic song to play on the fourth of July, when if you listen to the lyrics, it's actually a pretty straightforward indictment of US involvement in the Vietnam War, and the economic conditions for the mainly working class people who returned from that war.
tell that president Reagan
It's equally amazing how not everyone of these kids don't know this song and who sang it.
Right? It's the same thing as when Paul Ryan said his favorite band was Rage Against the Machine. LOL
I'm so ashamed that Brandon has never heard Africa AND didn't like it...
He has never listened to anything apparently. He never guessed any music from any year.
Ikr...đđ€Šđœââïžlike breh
Or What I like about you
I love Adamâs music knowledge
Adam makes me smile every time he does one of these. As a 50 year old music lover who knew all the "oldies" (50's-70's) it's refreshing to see someone so well-versed in the music that came before him. Rock on brother! âïžđ
People get Under Pressure mixed up with Ice Ice Baby because Vanilla friggin sampled it
Garth Palmer not sampled stolen.
fair
Brandon: "I didn't like the whispering, it made me uncomfortable"
Me: your attitude makes me uncomfortable.
No matter how great the song is, i can get someone finding the whispering a bit creepy.
If one of the Kid's on Kid's react said that i don't think we wouldn't mind so much??
How can someone NOT like Africa? Such a good song!
4:46 well its official yall gotta replace this dude
yeah he really didn't seem to be on his A-game did he?
That's it, Brandon's gotta go....
Sean Smith he doesn't know squadoosh
Yep. Enough is enough...
Yes please..
I love Adam's passion when it comes to music.
Dude who doesn't know Africa and furthermore doesn't like it? Gotta best top 10 songs of all time.
Brandon's opinions are all now null and void
The big guy with the glasses lost me when he said he didn't like Africa by Toto đ€Ł
Yes. Get his ass off the panel. He brings nothing
how about not liking What i like about you because of the whispering. WTH thats a great part of the song
@@ninsnumber1fan Yes, he is a fool
I'm not a fan of that song either and it's from my era.
Same.
So in addition to 80's music, it's obvious that math isn't Brandon's strong suit either.
Canadian Bacon
Exactly what I was thinking
Uh-oh ... Brandon just made a lot of enemies at 4:45 ...!
You got me crying at Under pressure by David Bowie and Freddy Mercury. đđ
Serena Naraine The best song ever!
Same. And I was jst singing along
"Bust A Move by Bustah Rhymes?"
I BUSTed out laughing
C.DatAZNguyoverthere same đ
C.DatAZNguyoverthere I BUSTed a nut
David Bowie's voice makes me cry. I'm still so said he's gone.
Being born in 95 is not an excuse! I was born in 95 and still knew all of these especially Queen. đ
i was born in 93 and I know all these songs and i am not even from USA/ Europe !
I was born in 2000 and I know all of these too. But definitely didnât agree with his comments
i see David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, i click
Under pressure is such a good song. Cheers to Queen an David Bowie
I knew all of these and I was born in 94. The year you were born doesn't matter. Some people are exposed to the music when they're young or seek it out when they get older.
Ally O Very true! I was born in 98 and (thanks to my parents) grew up listening to a lot of 70s & 80s music
*Truth* thank you for this respectful and insightful comment.
How can anyone not like Africa, I mean come on.
I've loved Africa *way* before when it was a meme. I used to listen to it on the radio, and I watched the video on VH1 during this video segment: The Big 80s.
Laeadern Africa is Totoâs most iconic song while Hold the Line is their best song imo
Itâs really good
I saw Freddie.......and I clicked! Can't beat Mr Mercury đđŹđ§đ
8:55
I was born in '98 and still got some fully correct.
Sorry my boi, I had to.
I was born in ÂŽ96 and i knew all the songs.
Itâs not ok Brandon, Africa is awesome đđđ
People don't realize that "Born in the USA" is actually not patriotic. It's actually very critical of the country concerning the Vietnam War. Springsteen himself doesn't like the US, if at all.
Under pressure is one of the songs that even if you heard it like a million times it still sounds cool.
I am a simple man, I see David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, I have to click
8:58 don't think you got the math quite right there buddy
soer9717 Its okay if he messes up a few!
Brandon, do you ever listen to music at all? XD
" I was born in 1995" is the excuse ? Dude I was born in 1991 and knew all these songs
Batmanatemyshoe and the n his maths were off â15-25 years before I was bornâ try 5-15
Maybe not. I just don't think it's a good enough reason for not knowing great music
Batmanatemyshoe I was born in 2005 and I know all these
All of these were huge hits. I got all and I'm not a huge music guy.
I might've been more understanding if these were lesser known songs from the 80's , but like you said these were huge hits. that have also been played in so many different adverts/ shows and movies
Big guy in the red sweatshirt has to live in a cave and just play video games, the dude has no idea music existed before 2000
I used to think Brandon was an okay guy until he said he didnât like âAfricaâ by Toto.
It only made me like him better.
+megagene
Nobody is perfect.... Not even Brandon )),:
I sung it in my sixth grade choir, my mother has played it every day in the four years since. Iâm a fan of Toto and all of their hits, but listening to the same song for four years can get a bit tiring :)...:â(
"de gustibus non est disputandum"
just because he doesn't like something you like, doesn't mean that he is not an okay guy......
Lexi T In this case it does.
Whatâs so funny is that people think âBorn in the USAâ is a patriotic song. It is not patriotic at all. Read the lyrics.
12 videos of 1980s music, and still no Depeche Mode, Devo , Police, Dire Straits, The Smiths or Iron Maiden. đą
Felt like a stab in the heart when they did not know Toto! Bruce! And Queen!
Can you do a 70âs classic rock or a classic rock one in general
how can you be in college and not know Toto - Africa lol
Haha, the guy born in â95 needs to check his math - as well as his musical taste. I canât believe he flat out didnât like a couple of the songs. They were all great!
Adam is my favorite on here, he knows his music.
"1 was born in 95"
Not an excuse kid
â15-25 yearsâ I think my man needs to work on his math đđđ
Not liking '80s music is understandable, as tastes differ. Not knowing '80s music is a crime against humanity.
When she said âbust the move by busts rhymesâ I was done đ€ŠđŸââïžđđđ
Brandon the type of dude to not thank his bus driver.
THE FLUFF 4x
And it'd be great if he stopped yelling.
Brandon is so grumpy in this video, geez
The next 80s list should include âDown Underâ from Men at Work đ
4:49 i lost a lot of respect for him
True
How do you not know Bruce Springsteen or africa by toto?
I'm shocked by the fact that people may have never heard Africa by Toto before.
I'm sure he's heard it. Brandon just isn't all that bright.
That was going to come eventually... At least now we got it over with, I guess.
Fun fact: the bass player in the video for Bust a Move is Flea from RHCP, who actually wrote the bassline for the song
The second the guy said he didnt really like Africa, my heart dropped. He used to be one of my favorite members but now oof.
Love the paramore shirt, and you guys need to do a 90's grunge band do they know it!!
Toto-Africa one of the best songâ€ïžâ€ïž
ONLY THREE PEOPLE KNEW BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN Ima go cry in the corner for hours
8:11 - thats because Ice Ice Baby used Under Pressure's beat/music, like how Baby Got Back was used in Anaconda. Not "everyone" gets confused if you're raised with Under Pressure instead of Ice Ice Baby.
Bowie/Queen over Vanilla Ice any day
So Brandon likes Baby by Jusin Bieber but NOT Africa by Toto? Shame on you Brandon, shame...
MORE 80'S PLEASE
Vanilla ice will probably never forget who sings that song đ€Ł he's probably still paying for it
I thought I saw somewhere that he bought the rights to it. That canât possibly be true though.
You said you were born in 1995. 10 years before you were born was 1985. 20 years before you were born was 1975. Evidently kids born in 1995 can't do math either.
Yes and no. He bought the right to sing it, so he wouldn't be hauled to court. It's still a Queen/Brian May song.
@@fridaylong2812 and then Suge Knight muscled him into signing over basically everything to himâŠ
@@BPC1980 No. He very much did not buy the rights to it. He added an additional bass note or an extra drum beat/cymbal to it and tried to claim it was totally different. He had to pay Queen a ton of money. LOL
Looks like Brandon's having an off day.
Brandon seriously needs to calm down.
Jeff Craig ikr, like who doesn't like Toto! Wtf
And he needs to work on his math
Ditched the video when Brandon said he didnât like Africa by Toto
Brandon: "I was born in '95! That's 15-25 years after 'under pressure' came out" that would make the release 1970!!! And also him "It's okay if I mess up a FEW (???)". He really shouldn't be in 80s episodes! But Adam is very good. He really is an 80s music fan and would have enjoyed living in this decade.
'80, '90, '00, '10... He doesn't know shi* haha
Adam is such a beast at these. He's so great.
8:55 born in â95 and doesnât know math
Linnea 97 He sounds like he needs a nap after that little temper tantrum. Just because a person is born in a certain year doesn't mean they cannot learn about what came before them.
'Now that tells us something about the American education system ' quoth the social justice warriors. :')
4:48 What???? HOW HE DOESNT KNOW AFRICA!? I think that is the most popular song in all this video....
Still no Depeche Mode...
WHO DOESN'T LIKE AFRICA. WTH MAN
Freddie Mercury and David Bowie on a song.. can it get any better?
We miss you both
SunW1ng what about Annie Lenox?
SunW1ng i know right so good huge Queen and Bowie fan!!!
Marco Cardia same, you just cant not love them.
She is a really, really good singer, but at least for me there is noone better than Freddie^^
Marco Cardia same :)
lol, poor Brandon. Not a good day at the office.
I hear the drums echoing tonight, But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation đđđ
I'm so freaking happy that you played a scorpions song! Favourite band of all time and freaking amazing live! đ please do a full react video to their songs.
Brandon, there's only 2 years difference between us and I knew all of them.
Brandon literally lives under a rock smh
The chick with an obscure 80s movie, RAD!!! I had that poster on my wall as a kid in the 80s. Still have the DVD. đ„°
I'm a teen but my whole life is in the 80'sđ
â5/8 knew artist on under pressureâ
3 of these people do not know David Bowie or Queen.
3
catbeweird âknew artist â doesnât mean âknows who this artist isâ but âknows who sings this songâ thatâs not the same thing
Yeah, but sooner and sooner there will be less people that know him, because a mayor part of society always goes to the new music, and old music just stays with sane people that actualy know what good music truly is
Carlos Adrian The thought of people forgetting Freddie and Queen makes me so upset :(
Brandon you were my boy how can you not like Africa by toto
âUnder pressureâ was released 5 years before I was born, and yet, itâs my FAVOURITE SONG EVER.
Queen feat. David Bowie đ
Best song. Hands down.
I get chills listening to 80s music. I would have included 'we built this city' though.
How does one not know what Africa or Born in the US is, like have you ever lived
Brandon has let himself down today, especially for not knowing Africa, also that was some seriously dodgy maths at the end, 15-25 years before 1995 is the 70s bro! Plus I was born in 1989 and got a good chunk these right!
still waiting for the react to classic and iconic heavy metal songs
You should do a Teens react to the lyrics of Born in the USA. The song's meaning is so different from what people think it is about.
Of course the one that doesn't like "Africa" cant do math
MORE 80âS PLEASE.
I cannot that so many don't who Bruce Springsteen. I love how Adam seems to the coolest and doesn't have his head up his butt.
âI was born in 95!â I mean.. I was born in 99 but okay đ
