Do They Know It #127 - DO COLLEGE KIDS KNOW 80s MUSIC? #11 (REACT: Do They Know It?) - ZĂĄbava
Eric is me - can sing all the lyrics, but can't tell you the song name or artist.
Most of my life is "you know, that one song that goes bah da dum da daaaaa"
How in the hell did three of those kids not equate Madonna with "Material Girl"? I mean, that's her friggin' nickname!
That's not as bad as only three people knowing that sweet child o mine is by guns n roses
Because no one listens to madonna anymore I hadn't heard of her until last year
music was so freaking dope back in the day.
PrincessRiners frđđđŒđđđ
Awesome, yes, but âdopeâ? No
It's still freaking dope
I wish there was more music like 80's music today
Eric! You just saved the Colledge Kids' honor by knowing it was Bryan Adams.
The Police, Depeche Mode, R.E.M., The Smiths, Jody Watley, Taylor Dayne, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, The Human League, Culture Club, The Cult, Karyn White, Pebbles, Cameo, Morris Day and The Time, Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, The Pixies.
To not know of Bryan Adams is a frickin' tragedy.
Is not.
Tell me about it I was screaming in my head Bryan Adams! BRYAN ADAMS!!!!!!
Bryan Adams is great!
Everything I do (I do it for you) now thereâs a true BA classic
Every Canadian is screaming
As a teenager in the 80s its interesting to see how many of these young people know the songs from that decade. They didn't do too badly, I think I'd struggle naming some of the artists around today.
That's because today's music is terrible and insult to the very concept of a musician
@@GinEric84 not all of it. Just 90% of what they're actually going to play on the radio.đ for good current music you need to find the independent artist
@@reneeg9406 you mean a musician? That's what we used to call people who wrote and performed music before record companies started marketing no talent hacks
I knew all of these I grew up in the 80's and still listen to it
@@perezynkrs1 I still listen to them all also with the 80's music being my favorite with me growing up in the 80's but I'd struggle with half of today's music like Sharon was saying
Eric dancing to Mr Roboto is now another reason way heâs one of my favorite reactors đ€ŁđđŒ
....how have these people never heard Summer of '69?? WHAT ROCK ARE YOU LIVING UNDER?!
At some point you have to do "Africa" by Toto.
Toto is the best
Don't you mean Toto by Africa, ametuer
Adam Tokaryk Toto is the name of the band, not a song
I'm 25 and I know a hell of a lot more about 80's music than I do anything that's been on the radio in the past 5 years.
Carl Mauch honestly same but I'm wayyyyyyyyy younger than you
I'm allergic to people You have good taste in music!
HA!! This statement really sums me up!!
Music from the 70's and the 80's for me. I'm also 25
Yes! đđŒââïž
Only one knew who Bryan Adams is, that's sad :(
React to:
Africa by Toto
Take On Me by a-ha
Our House by Madness
We Built This City by Starship
One Vision by Queen
Bro you are making me sing all of those songs in my head during this quarantine
We built this city on rock and rooooooooolllll
This episode would be epic
A man of culture lol
Take on me was already in one
It's so weird that they didn't know Madonna sang Material Girl. She was literally referred to as the material girl all after that song all throughout her career
You've never heard summer of '69" before? You never heard Mr. Roboto before either? The pink haired girl lives under a rock.
She also said Madonna was such an icon but didn't even know the Material Girl lol.
Summer of '69 is my favorite song ever!
*Judges person based on not knowing two songs from the 80's*
Alright...What are you talking about?
I knew all these songs when they were first popular, now I feel like an antique.
HOW HAVE THEY NOT HEARD OF BRYAN ADAMS!?? ICONIC
I love when Eric sings!
How do you not know Summer of 69 ????? Or Bryan Adams ?????
zok inus I totally agree
I'm 14 and I new all these songs ..... HOW DO U NOT KNOW WHO BRYAN ADAMS IS?!?!??
+kaylie woods or Blondie like ... đ đœđđœđđœđđœ
Kjube wallace everyone have different taste in music. Maybe that's why.
Please more 80s...Kraftwerk, Joy Division, New Order, Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Smiths The Clash, U2, R.E.M, Pet Shop Boys, Kate Bush, David Bowie, The Human League, A-ha...
Ă sa S I could not agree more.
Africa-Toto
Down Under-Men at Work
The Final Countdown-Europe
Rapture-Blondie
Under Pressure-Queen, David Bowie
Oh wow, all of you guys need to start listening to old music. You donât actually know how lucky you are that you have a major music era to listen to.
No one cares
Carlos Carmona you read it and decided to comment on it.....yeah you totally don't care
"She's an icon in 80's music". LOL! She's an ICON. Period.
1 - Summer of 69, according to Bryan Adams, has nothing to do with the year, if you know what I mean ;)
2 - Mr. Roboto has a grandiose cover version by Jeffster. It really defines what covers should aspire to be.
"This is from the Lizzie McGuire Movie" *bury face into my hands*
Timothy Riel That quote was inevitable!!,
She ain't wrong, though. But it was a cover. But it did made me facepalm.
Music education should be a class in school lol
CAUSE WE ARE LIVINGGG IN A MATERIAL WORLDDDD
During âYou Spin Me Right Roundâ literally the most 80s sounding song ever... âis this an 80s song?â......
Sam Dilks exactly what I was thinking đ
Nah, take on me is the most 80s sounding song ever
He prolly meant that theres so many covers of it
HOW do you not know Summer of 69 AND Bryan Adams?!
The 80's had a lot of variety.
Teens react to ABBA!!! They are coming back!
Eurovision songcontest is soon, and maybe it is fun to do a do they know it with popular Eurovision songs
they not going to get it cause they dont pay attention to that. but they can do a react to this year's show like they did last year
serenityq26 I second that
When none of them knew Bryan Adams except for one I almost choked
No Depeche Mode still. đ
Spin Me Round was a blast, though.
I'm so happy I was born in the 80's. Such great music! :)
Sad they didn't knew Bryan Adams
I'm glad to see a legend like Bryan Adams is getting the recognition he deserves.
lol, i hear Bryan Adams all the time on the radio, cuz the station i listen to plays 3 of his songs
It was sad that these kids had trouble with Summer of 69
Kennedy is both lovely and intelligent. A rare creature.
How the hell have you not heard of Bryan Adams!?
Boomforce ewwww blame Canada
Now, now. The Canadian government has apologized for Bryan Adams on several occasions.
D K haha
I wish they would have done a trivia fact: Summer of 69 isn't referring to the year 1969. In 1969, Bryan Adams would have been a 9 year old. He's referring to something else (pretty much what everyone thinks when you say 69).
Please. Kenny Loggins. Iâm going to keep requesting him on these 80âs do they know it until you use him.
Bryan Adams
Time for a bryan adams reaction
Time yo educate these guys
Cole Nijenhuis yes, I fully agree with this.
Eric is clearly a very expressive person and judging from the comments section, the fans are eating it up. He's been a good soldier for FBE - a highly entertaining and fun personality for viewers, and a solid worker in his more technical job on the computer, it's time to give him a reward. You guys need to get a piano and a piano lesson teacher for him ASAP. We need to see Eric playing well within the next three weeks, before the fans lose interest. I'm sure Eric would love it.
Spin me round its like one of my favorite all time 80's songs.
DEPECHE MODE!! And Pet Shop Boys. And Madness and Men at work.
Iâve said it before and Iâll say it again Tom and Eric are 2 of the best guys on react ugh love them! đđđđ»
EVERY time i hear Adele start singing Hello I start jamming out to Lionel Richie's version lol
Summer of 69 is the first song I ever remembered hearing. Like, if I think back to the very first song I ever heard in my life, that one is it.
*This is from the Lizzie Maguire movie* LMAO
Elaine Gilmartin the atomic kitten version. Though she must of still been very young when it was released.
courtney Tate I'm OLD
how do people not know summer of 69, bryan adams?!! literally broke my heart, it hurts
How did that one person not know who Bryan Adams was? He seemed to be on the mainstream playlist for all of the '80s.
T'Pau, Animotion, Depeche Mode, OMD, Ready For The World, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Corey Hart, INXS, Missing Person, Peter Gabriel, Samanth Fox, Romeo Void, Tears For Fears, ZZ Top
All the years later, Lionel Richie's "Hello" has lost none of its power.
No tears for fears?
Bill Bryant EVERYONE WANTS TO RULE THE WORLD!
I like shout more personally. Or mad world
Hereâs some 80s songs for the next one I would like to see them react to:
Heat of the Moment by Asia
Down Under by Men at Work
Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears
Jump by Van Halen
Take It on the Run by REO Speedwagon
What about Level 42 - Something about you
TheGoldenMilkshake Sure. Thatâs a good one too.
They need to put some Tears for Fears songs in these
This is a good group of people. Been watching this group from the start of react vids.
Please keep using them.
hey, how come you never put any Duran Duran song on the 80's reacts.... :D
Maybe they couldn't get the rights.
I know that one of the other react challenges had a DD song in it
Dani T which one? I' e seach everywhere but never found it
bumble bee Damn!! I must have miss that episode! Thank You so much mate!!!
Every ep Alix is in she further goes from being a emo/goth to being super bright and happy.
She gained a couple of pounds in the way too :P
i adore Tom. He's just so funny and sweet.
How can you not have heard Summer of 69??
4:17 I love how excited Eric is. â„
I'm genuinely upset they didn't recognise Bryan Adams xD
these fools think bruce springsteen wrote summer of 69 absolutely NOT
And one of them said "I probably havenât heard anything else by him"..... um yes you have. Bryan Adams has tons of songs that people recognize but canât name it.
You spin me around was the first song I heard at my new boyfriend's house when I was meeting his Air Force buddies in September 1985.
Man Styx were so diverse in their music. From Mr Robato which is so theatrical and synthpop like to the beautiful ballad Babe, Best of Times & Fooling Yourself then to harder edged hard rock like Renegade then to the epic Queen of Spades & Suite Madam Blue. They could really change their style of music & still sound awesome!
Styx was my first concert a few months ago, they played with Loverboy and Reo Speedwagon both of which have never been in react videos
Still one of my all-time favorite bands.
Smoothest Mr. Roboto moves i have seen in a long time, Go Eric :)
Why does rarely anyone know who Bryan Adams is... Also PLEASE DO SOME RICHARD MARX songs in the next 80s episode. Preferably Right Here Waiting or Endless Summer Nights
NerdishSounds yh its kinda sad. Bryan adams is so awesome.
They should know Bryan Adams. They should NOT know Richard Marx.
I know communist Dickie mostly because he was around when I was growing up, and his hellish
aural concoctions were inescapable for at least a few weeks in 1989. If you weren't listening to him,
your neighbor certainly was. And it was torture.
You have no right to remind people of his existence, Miss Nerd.
they teach marx in school, they dont teach bryan adams
80's...Best decade ever in many ways...Optimism,fun,joy...Maybe because I was teenager back then...From 44 uncle kids, hehe
you spin me round yessss omg, my fav songâ„
Star Lord likes this episode
Play them Africa by Toto!!!! PLEASE
What's the point? They'll say it's called "Alaska"...
You had one job to do and you blew it.
Could have just rick rolled 7 people
wow when the kid said âthat song is like 10yrs old...iâm feeling oldâ lol. iâm like no its 34yrs!!! WOW now iâm the one feeling old!
how dont they know bryan adams :*(
6:29 Omg I love Eric so much hahaha
Good lord, Eric continues to be the cutest
ghostbusters da da d ad ada
Still waiting for them to do Cult of Personality on one of these
Taylor Winslette or even Your The Inspiration
College Kids React To âThe Schindlerâs Listâ or âMovies That Have Won The Oscarâ or âCall Me By Your Nameâ. Hahaha.
That pink haired girl wasn't raised right smh
Sean Paul I think what she was wearing was the first indication of that
Omg thanks guys I always wanted to know if thereâs still people that remembers or are interesting in 80âs music, and how they react to it, thank you so much guys â€ïž
same here
Against all odds Phil Collins.
Brandon is a trip. I genuinely want to hangout with him. But of course Iâm old enough to be his dad so Iâm going to just go back and sit in my rocking chair. đ
Material Girl I first heard on Kids React and I love that song now! I was just listening to it last night!!!
Seriously how the heck can they get mixed up with Bryan Adams and Bruce Springsteen
LOL!
Even I can tell the difference and I wasn't even born when Summer of 69 was released
Kayleigh Natasha
honestly! These kids.. XD
Itâs the second âReactâ video in which they donât recognize/mistake Bryan Adams for someone else. Itâs really frustrating...
The smiths, new order, joy division, the stone roses. Next time?
Depeche Mode- Strangelove/Enjoy the Silence
New Order-Blue Monday/Bizarre Love Triangle
Two insanely massive bands that have yet to be covered in your 80âs or even 90âs!
YES!!!!! I've been waiting for them to play some Depeche Mode. They need to make it happen!
Bustin makes me feel good
Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams, people! The pink haired girl literally has no knowledge of rock music.
Weeaboo Anime girl doesn't know Mr Roboto? They SPEAK JAPANESE!
I bet Iâd be good friends with Eric... He has a lot of enthusiasm and an eclectic taste in music.
I don't get it. People claim the 80s is better in music and claim they know a lot and then this happens. They can't even friggin recognize Madonna's voice!
First of all, it hurt my heart that NONE of them knew Styx. Second of all, if I hear one more variation of the word "icon" or "iconic" while watching these videos, I might do something I'll instantly regret.
Let's help introduce them to Styx! I've been suggesting a Styx reaction for almost a month now.
Yes, Styx or ZZ Top.
Iâve been waiting for them to react to like a record for so longggg
Can you have the college kids react to Joy Divison? Would be pretty cool for that to happen
Kennedy just drips in FINESSE!
Too easy. 80s was the best decade for music.
kaylie woods also very good!
They do not know bryan adams? Deserve more songs from him
