@@jesselivermore2291 yes i'm Greek. In a nutshell i would say Greek islands are more for summer and beach. Crete, the biggest islands (and where i live) just now starts to extend the tourist season beyond the usual April to October period. While Madeira is all year round and beaches are not the main attraction. Both islands offer impressive hikes.

Me and my wife went to Madeira 5years ago on our honeymoon, best holiday ever. We are going back for 1st time on sat with the kids- we cannot wait.
I’ve also got a drone now so hopefully I can get some decent footage like you did.

Thanks to this video I think we will plan a holiday in Madeira. It's gorgeous, especially since it's also a mountain where we can go hiking. I also recommend the island of Tenerife, which has a lot to offer, from landscapes to cities, mountains up to 3800m. It's a dream like any Canary Island. And it's like cheap Madeira, from apartment rentals to car rentals.

Hi, you have produced a brilliant video, informative and soooooo professional, well done 👍. I have just been to Madeira for 8 nights and watched your video before going, whilst there and since returning. It gave us all the itinerary tips we needed. We were not so blessed with clear weather and much of the time the high picos were shrouded in low cloud; Pico Areeiero diagonal rain too for our visit and rain all the way up from Funchal, visibility maybe 30 meters at the top, nobody out walking!!. There is a webcam site and I should have checked first, and the forecast. Lower down it was OK though varied greatly at different points around the island, and we drove around and across the whole island. Hire car: as mentioned by previous contributors you got an exceptional deal. After serious haggling the cheapest I got was 60€ a day ☹. I will return for the walks and fantastic scenery. @@THATGREEKGUY_ don;t worry, i found it on my own. Amazing synching of music to the stunning scenery. Are you a pro video grapher? Unfortunately, you got steal of a deal, not these prices anymore in Madeira, it has gotten very expensive.
Then your comment is even more important to me. Thank you for that. It's true we were very lucky with the apartment and especially the car. But it was also a long time ago to be fair. Almost four years.

Thank you for your comment. Packing for Madeira was a bit challenging since we visited right after Costa Rica. We had to squeeze summer and winter clothes plus equipment for 3 weeks, in 2 small bags.

@@StepsOfJoy we got very lucky. My friend booked it online a couple of weeks before our trip with Bravacar. but that was over two years ago. Price is not the same any more.

@@irinimanola8101 Το Φουντσαλ δεν ήταν προτεραιότητα για εμάς. 1-2 βόλτες κάναμε και αυτό επειδή μέναμε εκεί αφού βρήκαμε την σούπερ προσφορά. Αλλιώς θα μέναμε πιθανότατα αλλού, όπου βρίσκαμε φθηνότερα, μιας και οι βόλτες και οι εκδρομές ήταν ο κύριος στόχος μας.
