I loved my brass boots. Such a hearty looking boot. I would love a composite toe version for when I have to wear a pair for work.

I always enjoy the detail of each video and appreciate the time you put into the craft. Having the monitor in the background playing past wonderful videos is slightly distracting to the current video. I understand this is just my opinion and you continue doing what you like just wanted to put that out there. I will continue watching and enjoying the content either way. Thank you.

Yeah I’m getting that feedback a lot! Unfortunately there are a few pre-recorded videos with that happening but once they’re finished I’ll change that!

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I am told that the Grant Stone brass boot is not a true moc due to the fact that it has a cosmetic stitching on top of the vamp, vs. stitching the toebox to the vamp in two pieces. It’s actually one piece. Regardless, it’s an awesome high-quality boot.

Of all the "MocToes" on that table, the Grant Stone Field boots are closest to a real mocassin construction, ironically. It is almost certainly the most durable boot on the table because of the way it was designed and built.

If you take a job requiring boots you don't own I always recommend the Thorogood boots as they feel broken in from the beginning.

I have Thorogood’s classic moc toes - love them!

I so enjoy your videos but I'm going to be the naysayer: the video running in the background is...at best distracting. The comparison here of moc toe high siders is excellent----and a wise decision to leave the Indys out of this particular comparison. Thanks again.

I find the video in the background kind of fun, but I do get distracted by it. Otherwise, another terrific video!

Earl Schaffer was the first man to complete the Appalachian trail hike from Maine to Georgia over 2000 miles in the 1940s. He did it wearing a single pair of boots, now in a museum. They were moc toe leather boots. Russle moccasins.
Oh and red wings do make non wedge moc toe, the rough neck.

Wow, fantastic idea for a video Teik!! Great comparison of all these heavy hitters 🙌

I enjoyed that. I don't love wedge soles. I have a pair of Diplomats, which I had customized to add some lugs for grip. I have had them a few years and they are still really comfortable. They have really moulded to my feet. The arch support is great. And while the leather has taken a few knocks (they don't look new), they are holding up well.
I have a pair of Brass boots as well in Dune Chromexcel.. They are ridiculously sturdy. I love em...
I don't think I could justify another pair of moctoes... although I covet those navy Niagra boots.

Actually bought a brass boot (in tan essex) after watching your reviews! The shipping to Aus sure is expensive though 😅

Interesting. You added in your Brass Boots from Grant Stone. I love mine. I have both the Kudu and the Badalassi's in the two different soles. Love them both but a tad surprised you added yours. Cool!

What a handsome collection of boots! 🔥 My favorite style of boots! I especially like the Grant Stone field boots profile. I have GS Reverse Snuff Kudu boots.

I really love your videos. Currently the only Moc-Toe boot I have is the Lems Boulder Summit, which famously has no arch support and is a 'barefoot' style boot. Its great, its water proof (which I needed here in Florida) and it was my first boot that really offered a lot of space for my toes. I've been considering getting a newer Moc-Toe and rather like the 875 and the Field Boot. Given that its summer I'm probably just going to switch between my vellies in nice weather and my Lems when its wet (which given the swampy terrain here is often).

I’ve had one pair stretch so bad I couldnt tighten them anymore so I took them back and got a new pair that is now peeling the outsole off. Makes me sad I really like them otherwise

Enjoy your channel. Surprising not to see a review of the Russell Moccasin yet (may be the backcountry). They have a following. Unfortunately, they are too expensive for me.

Thank you, and good timing. I'm looking at getting some moc-toes, so this was very helpful.
Do you have any experience with the 1907 by Red Wing? I'm curious if they're a bit closer to the Thorogoods in terms of comfort.

Video on the screen behind you is very distracting. I can't concentrate on what you're saying. Let me know if you ever release this without that. I'll watch that one. Or, if this is the way your videos are going to be now, let me know that. I'll stop trying to watch them. As it is, I give up on this one. Can't do it.
