@@joeymorton4878Stan Lee wanted a permanent allegory of racism and xenophobia - and liberation movements - of the 1960s/70s in graphic-arts form. So he made one. And it is as important today as it was 50 years ago. Do not ask why the mutants are hated by the humans. Ask why humans allow ourselves to hate and kill and make-less of other humans. The next time you are angry at Trask, or at Alexander Rice or at Donald, take out your anger on a real-world Nazi or Klansman - or take out your anger on the bombing of Palestine, or the false allegation of Erdogan that Kurds are terrorists and Turkiye is the good guy. Stan Lee wanted you to be anti-racist, not just non-racist. He made the X-Men for that purpose, to encourage ACTIVE anti-racism. Take his advice.
Making this movie R rated was one of the best decisions in superhero cinematic history
Yeah but the problem with R ratings is that aside from the fact that they don’t bring in the dough as much as their PG-13 counterparts is that the studios that make them value money over logic
Both Deadpool and Logan made almost a billion bucks, each! There is a wide enough audience for R rated movies, just give it recognizable characters and good story
@@HABO2210 Joker is the highest grossing R rated movie of all time. Bringing in just under $1.1 billion. Whereas Endgame, Avatar and Infinity War grossed over $2 Billion and they were all PG-13. And that’s because R ratings don’t bring in the dough as much as their PG-13 counterparts. Even if the story makes sense to have an R rating
@@Jackferrett6781 so what? The movies you mentioned also had quite a budget behind them, so the net profit is just about the same in the end. Deadpool and Joker were made for pockets change (for blockbuster standards) and earned more than 10x of the spent budget. Endgame is far from such profits
@@HABO2210 it still made more than an r rating would’ve. There are movies that would’ve made sense to have an NC-17 rating. But theaters won’t show stuff with that rating because it means they have to ask for ID. R ratings don’t bring the dough in as much as their PG-13 counterparts. Even if the story makes sense to have that rating
One of my favorite parts about this scene, is that once the serum starts to kick in and reinforce his healing factor, not only do his wounds heal, but he looks significantly younger compared to the rest of the film!
what if he just took a lot and let his healing factor reduce the poisoning effect to make him basically young again?
@@Sasqe It would have killed him. You can see how he immediately starts weakening after that amount he took.
Yes he does!If he used his brain and get some guns he would likely heal completely
@@baccadaa if he would’ve taken a small dose it would’ve worked. That’s why his daughter points out that he took the entire thing. but he knew what he was doing.
No guys, when he took the huge dose it took effect immediately, making him back into his normal self, his healing powers kept him young which is why he looked young again. But those powers of healing saw the foreign substance as poison so his young body filtered it out fast, That's why it wore off, because his powers are so fast and healing. His body saw the serum as a poison and filtered it out, that's why the effect was great but short lived.
Did anyone else notice how one of the soldiers yelled “it’s the Wolverine!”
Yeah, props to the one guy who actually turned around to fight and managed to get off 4 shots before being slaughtered. Meanwhile his allies kept running, buying themselves an extra 10-16 seconds of life. 🤣
I did
What it does imo is show how terrifying it wud actually be to fight him
@@tobmaster6993 right 👍🏿
Did one of them not get slashed?
His initial scream always give me chills no matter how many times I watch this. The final battle cry of the Wolverine
Dude, it's truly beautiful
I’m so glad I’m not the only one chills EVERY SINGLE TIME
Brings me to tears and I don’t even care
The roar and then the cut to Logan full sprinting toward the soldiers is incredible.
It's an incredible performance. And he's just as believable in a tux singing on stage. Hugh Jackman is truly a legendary entertainer.
He's leap into double claws kill to the tree whilst screaming must be the most Berserker Rage Wolverine it can ever be.
Totally agree !!! 😂
Well after he got injected with adamantium, and when he was weapon X..he was just like this except younger and could take the bullets better
Much like The Hulk, we have not gotten to see Logan's true Berzerker Rage yet in live action. This scene is close. Same with his exit out of the Weapon X facility in Xmen: Apocalypse. That was quite feral when he was still "young" and uncompromised healing factor.
It is my hope that Deadpool 3 and upcoming Hulk project will fix this and make it right!!
Dare we hope for a Hulk VS Wolverine fight in the future!!!

The thing I love most about this scene is the face she makes when she's surrounded but sees Logan running to help her. Shit gets me right in the feels.

This scene is probably one of my favorites, the scream the anger and just everything about it. Truly amazing
For real it had me scream like that too 😂
When he lunges into the guy against the tree then screams and quickly looks to the camera … fuckin badass. True Wolverine
He gave us one last final show as the wolverine in full throttle before the serum wared off..
The best Marvel movie imo. Nothing else comes close, this scene says it all. Every time I hear Wolverine scream it sends chills down my spine.

You can tell that Dafne Keen had so much fun shooting this movie.
Director - "Scream like you mean it and just starting F'ing shit up"
Aaaaaand action!
Kinda hope that when she's in her 20's she could reprise her role in a new Xmen series.
Eventually we will see another man playing Wolverine. But no one will be able to achieve this kind of "synergy" with the character. The ferocious roar that Hugh Jackman can do makes me believe he is in fact a beast like Wolverine.
Just praise Hugh Jackman! He's great! You don't need to declare that Wolverine will never be played as well. That's exactly what people said about the Joker after Heath Ledger. Then, Joaquin Phoenix came and encapsulated the Joker even better. Hopefully, there WILL be an excellent Wolverine down the road
@@MPHswayze Eventually we will have another great Wolverine, but never forget Leto's Joker. hashashhasha
Probably will be the same with Wolverine, one day we'll have another great portrait of Logan, but we will have to suffer along the way first. Either way, Huge Jackman will be forever the OG Wolverine
He’s coming back as wolverine. He’s in Deadpool 3.
@@MPHswayzethey’re two very different interpretations of The Joker. Phoenix’s is amazing but Ledger brings the character to life in a way that I doubt will ever be reached
@MPHswayze One idea for a great Wolverine actor I agree with would be Karl Urban due to his more ferocious style when his characters fight
Watching this scene made it clear that it was going to be incredibly difficult for any Marvel movie to ever top this masterpiece. 6 years later, "Logan" is still the best Marvel movie for me.

@@soloistdeve Ok
One of the best things about this movie was it went small and personal for the plot. As someone who lives in the world, I don't want it to end, but it's hard to emotionally connect with that. So many superhero movie main plots are very underwhelming.
I love that this movie went for a small, personal plot. It's about one man's depression, and how he overcomes it by finding family - by finding something worth dying for.
The movie opens with Logan taking bullets for a car - showing that he's become shallow, materialistic, that nothing 'real' matters to him anymore. The movie ends with him taking bullets for Laura, showing that he left the barren desert of his depression, and found his Eden, his green place, by finding someone worth protecting.
If Wolverine wasn't in this movie, what would have happened? Maybe a dozen kids get used in scientific experiments. Horrific and bad, but not the usual fare of superhero movies. It had the courage to go low stakes, and hang it's hat on the emotional connection we had with these characters.
It helped make this one of the best films of the entire superhero genre.
Wish we got to see more of the Logan and Laura pair in fights, both the actors perfectly nailed this scene
I still tear up at the end of this movie. One of my favorite characters in the X-Men series.
Same besides Magneto for me

What I absolutely love is how the children are all scared and desperate, but once they hear that roar, courage slowly begins to gather inside them, and they fight back. They don't just cower and let Logan do all the work.
I need to re-watch this masterpiece *.*
0:31 I love the way he just slices up the bad guys so sastifying
The thing that we all love about Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine, is not the fact that he's Wolverine. It is because he grew on everyone and the longer it took, the more he was becoming Logan. It's going to be difficult to put someone else on that shoe.
He definitely needed time to grow on everyone after the masterpiece that was X-Men Origins lol
