Idk what part of the country you live in but because cost of living where I live isn’t too high I’m able to pay my bills with that money. If you do, just make sure you choose a major that you can make some good money in to pay off student loans. I chose Information Technology. Try to get some scholarships too. Why it was hell? The people. The bullying. The constant jabs at my already self confidence. Gaslighting. Drama, constant attention seeking drama. My manager said I was doing a fantastic job yet this co-worker kept micromanaging me. I had to tell him to knock it off. Then his friends in the department next to us start giving me jabs at work to rile me up. I quit, I had enough. That was 6 years ago. It was my first job and put a bad taste in my month. Joselyn548 I would advised to hold on for now because convid has made it extra difficult to find a job but that doesn’t mean there are no job out there. There’s tons of jobs everyday all you need to do is send your cv to every job you have experience with and ask for full time. While you are still working at your current. But don’t leave without a plan or no saving if you are the bread winner in the fam or have kids I suggest to find a new job before leaving. But for me, I have no kids and I was happy to give up my own flat just so I can start over again and I wasn’t bother by money. I just wanted to leave the toxic environment for the sake of my health. So different situations different way of dealing with. But you still cannot work in a place you’re not happy in, it will take its toll on you one day if you’re super unhappy everyday 🙁. I hope you’re ok.

@G.O.A.T The situation I'm in is I hate the job I'm in and I don't want to do it. But the problem is I don't want another job either. If you could tell me I could pick whatever job I wanted and the pay would be $1 million a year whether it's as a CEO or retail worker or anything in between or I can have $100,000 a year for doing nothing, I"d take the doing nothing all day long. I don't want to work. The situation I've tried to resolve this with is through FIRE, just saving up enough money to never work again. I've been saving decently for most of the past decade and got maybe another half of a decade to another full decade to go but it feels like I'm at the foot of Mount Everest. It feels like even if it might only be 5 years from now it might as well be 50 years from now. I go to work in tears as well... working for less money is not an option.

I cry everyday on the way to work in the bathroom, on the way to and from work. Corporate bullies , not uplifting , managers say they are supportive structured and kind just to fill the position then act another and step on your back. I learned that recently. @@guyfromavillage134 Sure. The work itself isn’t bad, but the people aren’t very welcoming. I’m an engineer. I’ve been here at this job for about 4 years now. At first it was great, but I had a falling out with my boss, which led to rumors and a toxic environment.
Unfortunately, during these first few years I gained a bit of quite weight (the pandemic didn’t help), so I lost all my confidence as well. I’m planning on getting into shape, and then I’ll be confident enough to interview at other companies and hopefully escape this hellhole. Until then, I just have to keep my head up and perform until I can escape. I think I’ll even consider leaving for 10-15k less than I am making now.
I just miss having friends at work. I live alone, so I don’t have anyone else to converse with besides the people at work. I can see how people go crazy from loneliness and neglect.

Co-workers are ALWAYS soo angry all the time. I have NEVER been snapped at as much as I have now. I even dream of work, almost nightly. I feel soo trapped. I dont have skills. Im trying to find me. I have no dreams.

We work so hard in school, studying day and night, and once that's done with we work a job that is repetitive and monotonous till we retire. How can you feel excited about that? I was suicidal somedays and there were days I couldn't get up for work.
When I was younger I felt being an adult was going to be fun, but reality hit me like a ton of bricks after university. Life is not easy, you have to keep working and improving yourself or at least maintain a sense of balance if you are stressed out and crying for help. Make sure you do physical exercises, be alone and reflect about how blessed you are in life, and do activities you like on the side. Or else you'll go crazy if you only obsess about how much you hate your job.

I quit my corporate job because I didn’t feel that the work was rewarding... it was all about the profits and I wanted to do more to help people in need. So I went back to school and started a new career. I was very excited about my new life and career in healthcare. However, much to much shock and disappointment, I found the meanest, most materialistic people in this new profession. They bully each other and the patients... it IS horrible. It’s nothing about helping. I look back and see how much my previous employer cared about corporate social responsibility: we built several houses with habitat for humanity, we constantly raised money for shelters and various charities, we did street missions-the list is endless . In my current “new” career while I work with vulnerable sick people- I have the worst working conditions possible. I cry every day on my way to work, at work and on my way home. The ongoing abuse from staff and patients is soul-crushing. The hospital could care less about the well-being of staff. And with Covid it is 20 times worse

I have no social life at all in my 20s. My original shift is the evening which is 3-11pm and when I get mandated for a double I work until 7am and ever since the pandemic hit things have gotten a lot worse. Sometimes we even have to work triple shifts, yes I said it triple shift. As of lately I’ve gathered up soo much pain from not being able to be social and have a normal life or even having time to check on loved ones, I’m ready to step out on faith. I’ve been battling deep depression behind this job, the money is okay but this isn’t where I am happy at. Money can always be made but time you can’t get back. I aspire to become a music producer and I know that isn’t a easy task to complete but it’ll make me happy to know that I can at least work on my dream rather than just work for a dollar.
