Once again, Ren is proving that he is a genius storyteller and is quite obviously knowledgeable about the world news beyond his own locality. He isn't getting his news from Tik Tok, but from actual reputable sources.

@@infin8reactions Nah, it's a joke by Knox m8. He wasn't in it. He could only make rehearsals & he was meant to be playing the waiter with drinks. But he had to leave before the final take & got replaced by the girl in the vid.

Mind blowing. Beyond the lyricism and the storytelling Ren brought in musical brilliance. First, by introducing Violet's melody he sets the stage musically for a tale about generational damage, though of a different kind.
But what strikes me as most brilliant is when the string quartet starts to play. They are playing part of "For Joe" by Ren, introducing the idea of su*c*de into the song and foreshadowing what is shortly to come. And then they blend that with the Money Game riff.
Sums up all three Money Game songs. The money game is suicide.

I did catch that the humming in the beginning was the same as "For Joe" but I didn't catch the orchestra.

One of my favourite parts that I think a lot of other people are missing the point of, is the ‘sheep’ reference. These days being seen as sheep is a negative. Ren is saying we need to be part of the herd, not put ourselves above the rest of the herd. So so many layers to this masterpiece!

The storytelling in both lyrics and Ren's performance was bloody brilliant. Definitely up there with the Tales and Hi Ren in my opinion. Ren is so talented and he never disappoints. Absolutely KNEW you would get this. And yes! You caught the echo of the melody from 'Violet's Tale'. I spotted that too. Further along when the strings come in, it's another echo, this time from 'Dominoes'. And of course the melody from MG 1+2 sprinkled in, too. The way Ren puts little call backs to his previous work and links them all together is pure brilliance.
Also, the premier was fantastic. Instead of the usual countdown, there was Sackman himself playing the guitar riff from MG1, with the sound of a heartbeat getting faster and faster. Honestly, the countdown itself was worthy of a reaction. I'm not even joking.

Gutted you was late to the party, I would of loved a premier to share this 😢.
You are the first reactor that has said that about "Violets Tale", that I've seen 😁. I picked up on the likeness to The Tales trilogy also, but I like how Ren introduced the piano and strings into this, so it took it to another level.
It's a masterpiece of musical artistry, whilst holding a mirror to political and social moralities and values, so profound ❤.

Tenth listen and bam! I think i understand the beginning when the other guy comes up and stops Ren from playing.
They are both hooded, blindedly particiapting in that money game.
The guy who interrupts Ren and takes his place played the game better. Perhaps a representation of the competitive, cut throat nature of the money game.
This shocked Ren, triggered a self evaluation (the mirror) and he all of a sudden saw through it all. He saw the truth.

I had to catch my breath after watching this one. I don't think there are words yet invented to describe Rens talent and passion for a better world. ❤😊❤
FINALLY someone picked up on the Violets tale vocals combined with 'Jimmy'. He always has so many callbacks and I think beyond the point of this story line it's showing that while having no parents due to violence and living on the streets can lead to violence and death, even having a dad with money but one obsessed with money and power and influencing his son that only those things were important can lead to exponentially more destruction.
I can't believe nobody else picked that up! Unless they weren't listening properly 🤷
One thing I noticed is in Hi Ren, he stood up out of the chair. Now he fell into it.

This was another amazing creation by Ren AND Sam.
Remember how he removed his jacket in Money Game part 1, just prior to dousing himself in gas. He again does the same thing here. Removes his coat prior to loading the gun. The best part is the call back to chorus of the first 2. It’s raining on him as he pulls the trigger of the money game. “Rain, rain, rain…his finger on the trigger of a money game.”

Great reaction, though I would not agree that it is all about greed. Jimmy isn't greedy, he only wants to finally hear some words of appreciation... and when daddy's gone, he goes even further, subconciously trying to satisfy he father even it is not possible anymore.
This is about spending our life just to satisfy someone else's needs.
I like the fact that Jimmy's motivation for life changes through the song. For the first 35 years, his sole motivation was to try to make his father proud of him. He did this by making money, which is what his father told him to do. Then, at 35, his father dies, killing Jimmy's whole reason for living. Jimmy is forced to turn to a new motivation. All he has left is money because that's the only aspect of life he nurtured for 35 years. He then realizes how hollow both pursuits were and gives up.

At the end.. the gun didn't fire... It's the ultimate symbol of a money game (arms) and it failed. (my interpretation but I'd love to know if anyone heard different from Ren - I think he's playing chess and I'm playing checkers most of the time). Knox was originally the one holding the drink tray but apparently was replaced...lol.

I agree with what you were sayin , but I would change it a little , like ren said in hi ren, ........and for me that’s enough cause it gives me a purpose I can rest in.....I don’t think the actual pursuit of money is bad, it can really make your life a little less stressful, and can do as many good things as it can do bad, but I think tour purpose for getting it needs to be true to you , and what you may do to get must have a good purpose for you, otherwise it won’t mean anything in the end, and be happy with whatever that purpose brings you , a lot or a little , you’ll still be content with yourself, as most likely, as far as money anyway , you will be able to have peace and rest , this is a cautionary tale I think , and not necessarily an absolute outcome If your fortunate to have plenty of money. Of course the way the system is set up, the way most people are programmed, it’s a hard peace to have , because you are judged accordingly, a lot of money , or no money , you should be the same good moral person in either scenario, and if you are those who truly love you will love you the same either way , and that’s a purpose anyone can rest in , and the others , forget um , thanks for the reaction, really good , and let’s keep supporting ren , cause no one is playing and teaching and entertaining on his level, it should be talk as much as Shakespeare was taught to us. And most of us relate to ren 10 fold over that outdated language of the past. These tales are to help , to teach , to make you aware of tragedy and how to avoid it. I say teach him in school so kids understand what his meaning is and learn from it , peace to all

Unlike alot folks, I don't see this story as about greed of money. The story that's the most obvious to me is this is a tale about a son and a toxic father. What Jimmy was chasing the most was love, respect and the approval of his shit father. With all these expectations, pressure and ideals to live up too, put there by his father, we never get to know what *Jimmy* truly wanted for his life outside of trying to please his father.
Without all that, I don't think Jimmy from 25 on, would he have gone on to be a white-collar criminal than gentlemen drug-lord. That Lee agreed with Jimmy's father that at 25, he still hadn't done enough to make him proud, was a little disappointing.
At 25:
When someone says just because you live in a palace it doesn't mean that you've won
It means money doesn't buy happiness that's why I said facts, not because I agreed with the toxic dad, it was more to the agreement of the statement that money doesn't buy happiness.
And although it has chasing the love element, this story is the story of how greed can ruin a person and how indoctrination at an early age can cloud your vision, if it was solely about pleasing his dad then he wouldn't have run with the cartel, nobody would be proud of that
Ren literally says that when jimmy is on the slide he regrets the decisions regarding how he got his money over the years and now he has nobody to turn to.
It's the addiction of chasing money primarily. It is called money game after all.
