Masterpiece Theater. Ren is the only artist that has repeatedly pulled on my emotions. Hi Ren, Suicide, For Joe, Jenny and Screech, How to Be Me, Chalk Outlines, and Money Game 1 and 3. It's unreal the power his music has, and the emotional attachment the Renegades have to it. Brilliance personified and we're all lucky to be here for it. ❤ Beautiful reaction!

I don't place much stock in awards shows as a measure of greatness, but I'll say this anyway: Money Game 3 should be a contender for Best Short Film at the Oscars! Monumental vision, message, production, score, lyricism, cinematography and performance. And great reaction too! Your tears made me teary-eyed as well. 😢 Edit: When I said "contender," I meant winner.

This is such an impressive and important piece of art. This, like a few others from Ren, will lose a lot if you are just listening to the track. The visuals in the video add so much to the story, with the deliberate pacing and pauses to keep the tension. His ability to emote while performing struck me from the first time I saw him in Hi Ren. We see it throughout the piece, but the one that always brings tears to my eyes is the expression on his face at the very end; that look of hopelessness, regret, pain, and just emptiness. Incredibly powerful!
He brings real life in bite size pieces for us. Hard to swallow sometimes.
I completely agree with you on your comments but I also thought the same with the visuals, then I was walking the dog across a field in the rain listening to Sick Boi when Money Game Part 3 came on......
It actually hit me more than the video did.

Ren is Truly a Once in a Multi-Generational Artist on the Level of Shakespeare. He is a Performance Art Master who blends music and character acting from all the styles over the last 500 years and makes it Modern and Relatable to all Generations even if normally you may not be a fan of whatever genre he is currently performing. From Location and Video Directing Worthy of Tarantino or Spielberg, to Lyrics Shakespeare would have been Proud to have Written, To an Emotional Performance on par with Marlon Brando or Morgan Freeman and the Musical Prowess of Jimmy Page or Eric Clapton and the Vocal Chops of Robert Plant or M&M! In Money Game Pt3 when offering His Solution to the Sociatal Issues he is showcasing, Ren stated "Mold will Grow upon the Surface and Consumes til it dies, and Our Fate could be the same without this Story to the Wise" The more I hear from Ren the more I realize his Solution is to be a Teacher Opening the Eyes of Millions with his Art and his Heart! And I think Ren's message is Crystal Clear. Ambition and Passion Without Compassion Will Cause the World To Burn! But Ambition and Passion WITH Compassion Can Save It! His Compassion is Manifestly Obvious and If enough of Us actually LISTEN to his words, then Maybe, Just Maybe the Hunan Race may Survive!
You're not the only one to get emotional over that ending - Ren always find a way to get inside you with his lyrics and storytelling. From the point the string quartet start up, this performance transcends to a completely new level.
I struggle to fathom how in one 9 minute performance, Ren is able to deconstruct human behaviour and society over thousands of years and do it in a way that he holds up a mirror in front of us so we the world can see all of our faults laid bare - genius doesn't begin to describe that artistic creativity.
I've always been wary about comparing Ren to the best creative musicians there are0or have been and I've now come to the conclusion that he is levels above all of them.
If someone is not collating a college or university degree course on "the works of Ren" then they really should be - the subjects he raises and the way he does it are so vitally important for the generations to come.

The 1st money man stoping Ren being crative on the piano while he had a money mans head is very clever.

I have a theory on Ren. Bear with me here.
I believe in the Talent Fairy. She comes shortly after birth of some artists, pinches some Talent Dust out of her Talent Bucket, and sprinkles it over the baby. Mozart, Van Gogh, Hendrix, you name it, they all were sprinkled over by the Talent Fairy.
But on that fateful day of March 1990, the Talent Fairy had enough. It's a tough and lonely job, you know, nobody ever thanking her... So she hovered over Ren's crib flapping her little wings, said "F*ck it!", and dumped the whole bucket of Talent Dust on him . And then she quit the job.
This not only explains the insane talent of Ren, but also the lack of any other creative artist around nowadays.
That's my theory, and I stand by it. All Hail the Talent Fairy. 🧚♀

It was a masterpiece! Short films like this have won awards in Cannes Film Festival! That 2nd pianist who took over from Ren's exquisite playing, was exceptional in this. If Ren doesn't get acting roles soon, I'd be astonished. As Vinnie Jones once said in Gone in 60 Seconds, "it's been emotional".

Ren needs to stay right where he is... If he keeps going doing this kind of work he will rise to the top of all artists throughout history.
I fear acting roles and all the other stuff will only distract the lad and his music will suffer. Besides who can write for Ren but Ren?

Yes, that's Ren playing piano at the beginning! He also composed the music for piano and strings! He directed the video and produced the music/audio. It was recorded live but it's not quite 1 take. They had to make a single edit, before the water, for obvious reasons. Yet another incredible performance from Ren! Overall, an absolute masterpiece... again! :)

He didn't write the original piano. That was an excerpt from the Grieg Piano Concerto No 16 A Minor. As for the directing, you are really downplaying the partnership with Samual who had the majority of the responsibility for the direction and production of this piece,

I always start crying on this song, and on others that were mentioned here already. And that almost every time I hear it, which is really reliefing but also hard.
When he starts with
"And his example is exaggerated versions of me

And it's a version of you, there’s no escaping the blame
The way we live is parasitic, fuck the money and fame!"
thats when I start crying. And I was wondering why. And from what I could find out is that the composition with the string quartett is very heavy with these words, but the reason I cry is because of guilt. The guilt I feel for myself and for others, because we really give a damn about others, about what we leave behind. And when I look around I just see "Mine mine gimme!!!!" and that breaks my heart, because I can imagine the utopia Ren talks about, and I know that many people suffer horribly from my and also the other peoples selfishness and recklessness.
And I think almost all of us who can feel this way, are feeling pretty helpless, because its so hard to get away from this lifestyle and even if, it would take so many to get away from it to have a chance to fix anything from what we've done to this planet and the lifes of others and future others.
This mirror Ren is holding up is pretty hurtful in my oppinion. But we deserve it.
Having such a tender heart is a beautiful thing. Loving a stranger like you love yourself is goals. Yet it is so difficult sometimes. I have found that I can’t impact someone around the world directly, most likely. I can, however, directly impact a few people near me. Perhaps the will carry son. Some will have a further reach with a more impressive “ gift” than I have and that is the hope. Having our eyes opened is the first step, isn’t it. 💕 it hurts

I hope we don’t all pile too much on Ren & Samuel but it’s hard not to when you see something like this, the clarity of truth, the creativity, the impact, the technical brilliance & most of all a weird kind of hope.
I’m hoping they decide to get it into some short film festivals so the wider world can see it.
Some have commented that the struggle in Hi Ren reminds them of Golem in LOTR - of late I wouldn’t have been surprised to learn that Samuel’s last name was Gamgee.

It's a great conclusion to the series. 1 was the concept, 2 was the macro perspective, and 3 is the personal perspective. This is more a "Tales of Jimmy" than it is a money game.

Hey, Hey, Hay! Awesome reaction as always! I love how Ren does silent counts using hand signals for the orchestra people behind him so they know when to start. The first time he uses his hand to count to four and the second time is when he sits back down in the wheelchair while he's holding the gun. it starts raining and he waves the gun back and forth 4 times and I'm on the fourth time that's when they start playing again.
He also does it in the live acoustic version of murderer. But with the signals he uses for the other guitar player it start and stop. He'd wave his hand and the other guitar player would start playing. When he wanted the guy to stop he would put his hand up in a closed fist showing the universal hand signal for stop.

I don't think money is evil. It's people who make it evil and negative. Some people love what money can do for them and they will do anything to get it. They love the power it brings and they chase it, while others understand what money can do, therefore they do what's right in their hearts, they also understand the influence and power it bringsv but they try to do the right things for others and are a positive influence on humanity. It's just sad that the selfish money hungry humans outnumber the helpful charity loving humans in this world.
