That introduction I hope is something Kyle understands is a direct result of his grinding for years on policy and being entertaining. Truly deserved.
That's for sure! I've been subbed since he's had just over 3000 subs, bed sheet backdrop and audio coming though one ear. lol

Crowd: *Cheers* *endlessly*
It's like Kyle is fighting against a majority of the panel, and whenever he seems to be nearing the falling side, Ana comes in and saves him. Not only did this panel not have any socialists, but it barely had any leftists smh
At least the audience seems to be reasonably sane
Honestly that is how I felt as well. It wasnt that Kyle didnt have the correct approach but it was too short for him to explain go into detail... But yh Anna really did have good arguments, shame that she didnt get to speak much....
Ana, David, and Kyle. 3 leftists
David barely spoke and Ana only piped up once-in-awhile. And Sam was supposed to be a moderator. Kyle was doing the heavy lifting in this panel.
They did not have any socialists so no one gives the most important argument in favor of socialism. Kule himself does not consciously understand it, even he commented on it recently. Worker alienation. The fact there more and more jobs workers do which as socially useless or even harmful. I will give some examples: Walmart greeters, anyone who works in an advertisement. Banking right now. And even jobs that have some social meaning have a big part in them that is socially harmful. Shop assistant for example. All upselling is socially harmful, all specials are socially harmful. These jobs do not give people pride, connection to other humans, filling of fulfillment.
Socialists advocation for worker-run companies, worker cooperatives. The biggest argument is to reconnect workers to there labor. Give them back pride, confidence, Fulfillment.
Look on Kule. His job gives him pride, confidence. He is sure he does socially useful work. That why he is popular. But most workers do not have that. Can not have that in the current system. That is biggest argument for Socialism!
@@Mutineer9 reminded me a lot of Ted Kazcynski's philosophy of the power process, totally agree!

The crowd immediately loves Kyle and his Big Seltzer
Winkle the BernieBro I love you winkle keep pumping out content dude

David Packman, Ana Kasparian, and Sam Seder, really? They are establishment hacks.
@@NarmyHiiragi Sam Seder is incredibely smart. Just as good as Kyle
Sam even said he would go farther in nationalizing things than anyone on the panel... that's not like the establishment
You're out of your fucking mind if you think Ana is establishment!!!
Gotta admit, I LOVE the crowds reaction to Kyle. Just shows you that he isn't some weird ass small youtuber anymore. And that he is a worthy opponent, because he has people who listen to him.
Kim Kunt-trash-ian has millions who listen to her, and she's dumb as a fucking insect.
When you're old enough, take a class in logic and learn HOW to think, instead of being told what to think, useless shitard
Melchior Magni the point is everyone else’s fan base also knew they were going to be there, but they didn’t turn out the way kyle’s fan base did, and that’s because Kyle’s way more influential and has way more fans
I'd rather watch Kyle debate moderate dems than conservatives TBH
Pat Mac Right? In my opinion, the real reason Kyle is great is because of his nonpartisan way of thinking and his willingness to call the Democratic Party for its corruption and overall incompetency.
I kind of agree. While I like the idea of him vs a conservative debate for both the entertainment value and the possibility that some viewers might actually hear points they haven't heard before, many right-wingers are good at deflecting and side stepping questions instead of actually answering them, so I'm not sure how fruitful it would be to the panelists themselves. At least here, we got a good debate on the merits of dem centrism (and hence a spotlight on why it doesn't work).
Exactly. Reasonable people should be put country before party and he doesn't let anything slide just because it's 'his team'. And I like the way Kyle's take no prisoners approach frames the debate on his terms. It's refreshing to see someone basically say, "Yes, I care about healthcare and education for everybody and I'm not going to apologize for it." I like Obama, but on many issues he started with a compromise and walked backwards from there.
Nah, he's best when he's poking holes in the conservative cult-like mindset. Not many people can break through the whole Trump and GOP delusion thing they have going on on the right, but Kyle is able to because he twists the arguments to turn their own broken logic back on them. For instance, he does the same thing Ro Khanna does in that he says "I agree with campaign Trump" and argues for the policies that Trump PRETENDS to have a populist agenda around (but are in reality hallow) and backs conservatives into a corner where they're forced to argue against Trump's own positions during his 2016 election. Personally, I find this more entertaining to watch for the reaction alone.
Yeah I agree with that, but debate with Shapiro would be epic as well haha
The fans were basically youtube comments in real life

I don’t know for sure, but I’m pretty confident that they are referring to the fact that Kyle rarely (if ever) stands up behind his desk, and therefore he doesn’t have legs (jokingly).
@@David-hx4gw Since he sits behind the desk in all of his segments, we never see his legs, just his torso and up, so it's just a joke in the Secular Talk community lol. Plus he made a deal with a seltzer company, so it's just added fun to say he's bought by "Big Seltzer."

Kyle still manages to be the most excellent and articulate at straightforward discussion:
-Get corrupt money out.
-Run populist progressives; they will win.
-Social programs are successful, poll well, run on them.
-Pretending those 3 things aren't a reality will lose you 1000 seats in government.
-Seltzer.
Of course the only person who doesn't fall in with that is the politician in the room....who lost twice....[facepalm]
Kyle is sheep-dogging uninformed progressives into the Democratic Party where their ideas and energy can be contained and extinguished. Kyle is doing the dirty work for a party that is completely controlled by wall street, war street and the intelligence agencies. The progressive agenda will never be accomplished until con-men like Kyle are called out for what they're doing and soundly rejected.
im just curious when exactly is corrupt politicians going to be the fault of corrupt politicians. I agree politics and business being in bed together is a bad thing. but the solution is to get politics out of money. its your ideas of getting politics even more involved in the business world that makes it that much worse.

what's with the no limbs joke?
The degree to which the audience was taking Kyle's side in this is predictable. I live in Mobile, AL and I can honestly say that people in red states that can turn blue with a populist message is not a lie. People absolutely hate Democrats here because they back down when it matters and then lie on things that do matter to us. The Medicaid expansion did not reach here. Our state politicians blocked it because exemptions to the expansion were in the legislation and Republicans that have a hard grip on their states took advantage of them. Under the ACA, if someone does not apply for Medicaid, which they often don't due to the lack of expansion, or they do not have private health insurance, they are given a tax penalty for not being able to afford health insurance at 200 a month premiums. This is a state where people do not make a lot of money (Forbes just named my city the worst city to live in) and most of the state are rural with a few exceptions being a Mobile, Birmingham and college towns. This did not make the ACA popular here in ways that socialized medicine, universal healthcare or even just Medicare for All would certainly achieve. Bakari Sellers does not know what he is talking about when claiming he is helping the Democratic Party make leeway in rural red states
I'm from mobile too and i agree 100% with all this. People here are definitely ready for change. All right-wingers talk about here are pro guns, being pro life, and "christian" values. But u put a full blown real left populist down here against them, heads will turn.
same here in Oklahoma, people here will definitely be willing to vote for a Blue if they're more like Bernie Sanders than the standard suit and tie corporate dem.
I am in Mobile as well and I can tell you from first hand experience through campaigning for Bernie down here that many republicans would vote for a populist message. We had republicans showing up to meetings during the election. Most people down here feel like all politicians are just corrupt and then just dissociate from the process. Republicans don't like republican politicians; that's why they gave the finger to them and voted for Trump. Many of them respected Bernie, but still had a hard time believing he was not just like the rest of the career politicians. If you can get past this mental barrier and get them to talk about policies and what matters to them personally, they are in alignment with a lot progressive policies. The key is being aggressive in calling out both sides for not representing the people, talking like a normal person, and hammering home that the only way a politician is going to represent them is if they are not taking PAC/corporate money. That as long as politicians are listening to lobbyists and money, they are not listening to us so it doesn't matter what differences we have in opinion. They thought they were getting this in Trump, but they were fooled by rhetoric.
Across the bay here in Foley. And the populist left politicians here in baldwin county have made the biggest leaps for local politicians in decades. Sense the regean populist candidate grasped hold of our area. Jason Fischer, and Dienne has really laid the foundation for populist left sucsess in alabama. They are focusing on a near education crisis, smart growth and infrastructure improvements/accountability. And as well taking strong oppisitions to identity politics, and republican corruptoon and grandstanding on montgonery.
Joel Harold I despise that hispanic fuck oh my last nams Morales. Nothing is sadder than a conservative uneducated latino they are responsible for the Ted Cruz's too
Social Democracy is not socialism.
They should have at least invited Prof. Richard D. Wolff to that shit.
Yeah. I'd take him over Sam "One concentration camp less" Seder or David Pakman.
Heck why limit to talk about socialism (social democracy at best with this panel) when other topics like climate change, corporate media, the situation in the Mid East, War and Peace, etc can also be discussed more in depth.
Noam Chomsky would be great among others like Jordan Chariton, Jamarl Thomas, Jimmy Dore, Mark Ames, Phil Donahue, Tim Black, Aaron Mate, Vladimir Pozner, Ben Norton, Jessie Ventura, Chris Hedges, Paul Jay, Stephen Cohen, Libertarian Socialist Rants, Ajamu Baraka, Medea Benjamin, Ron Placone, As'ad AbuKhalil, Glenn Greenwald, Cornel West, Lee Camp... There isn't a lack of good choices that's for sure
It is in the US and that pretty much what matters.

Conspiratorial anti-semites belong on the far-right. Bye.
Panel with zero socialists discusses whether we should be socialists. Lol.
And that's the problem with the government and mainstream media 👍
Would you dismiss a panel on whether or not racism is bad if it didn't have racists on it?
I would dismiss it if it didn't have advocates for ending racism, yes.
Darke Exelbirth i dismiss the very notion of a panel on whether racism is bad because that isn’t even a conversation worth having. Racism is obviously bad and anyone who disagrees with that isn’t worth our time or attention. The various forms and varying degrees of socialism is absolutely a conversation worth having and nearly EVERYONE agrees, as evidenced by the mixed economy we have and the constant discussions about healthcare, subsidies, social security, etc. But to have that conversation without actual socialists is laughable. Noam Chomsky might not have been the right choice for this format, but Seder could’ve brought along Jamie Peck or Michael Brooks for instance. Whether you agree with them or not, they absolutely would’ve provided more knowledge and insight and a different perspective that would’ve aided the discussion. This panel quickly got off track into the failures of the Democratic Party and I think that’s precisely because there weren’t real socialists present to help the panelists think beyond a two-party neoliberal system.
Fight the Oppressor Michael was free to participate, and chose not to. And Ana, Kyle, and Sam all put out a public appeal for more socialists to participate. Funny thing, when offered an opportunity to come and explain themselves and convince the general public, Socialists seem to always opt out. IDK if it's because they are so arrogant they don't think they need the public in general, or if they are too scare or insecure in their abilities to convince. But they seem to run away from real discussion and debate outside their bubble, just like conservatives, anarchists, and most Libertarians. And you don't need socialists to think beyond a neo-liberal two-party system. Like, Socialists are the only ones not part of that paradigm? Think about what you're implying.

Had no idea Kyle was so popular. Good ideas catch on I guess.
Rabble rousing always draws rabble. It's why Trump produces crowds for his idiot rallies. Kyle speaks well, and with confidence. He calls his opponents names and makes people feel they are part of a team. There's value in that, but don't mistake it for being a true thought leader. Popularity is easy when you're holding a torch and pitchfork. It's harder when you're actually in charge of getting shit done. What ideas did he originate? He's shouting other people's ideas as his slogans. That's fine, someone needs to do that, and he's good at it. But let's not confuse popularity with the rabble with the long term popularity of the ideas he expresses. They aren't his. Best thing he's done is helping to start that PAC, because they actually get something important done. He's not an idea man and not a particularly deep thinker. He's more the guy who sells the idea.
@PS Wright, No one claimed Kyle is some philosophical leader coming up with ideas. He's just championing certain ideas that he believes in. All the people on that panel do the same.
I'm not even going to bother with your claims about "the rabble", "holding a torch and pitchfork" or comparisons to Trump, as I hope most people see the laughably ridiculous flavor of your post.

@MrGoodkat Same, same.
keppela1 They're mic'd. You can clearly hear that the sound is coming out of speakers and not from the stage. But there's terrible echo in that room and the point from which this was recorded doesn't help -- it's way on one side. It's also why there's no balancing, with the panelists being relatively quiet wheres the audience is incredibly loud. it's recorded from the audience. Probably nothing official. I'm still very thankful that we have this and camer angle aside the video quality itself is very nice.

@@chazbennett8676 lol how?
Prob had a xan like Kyle lmao
Very low energy. Sad!
Still hurting from attacking Dore
I'm getting pretty much only crtv ads on Secular Talk now.
Yes. I'm also getting nonstop car ads everywhere. It gets annoying seeing the same ads every 10 minutes.
I'm getting that shit as well, but at least Kyle is getting that money lol
Use CZcams vanced and you get none
Keep watching them. You're not going to subscribe to them, so their ad is wasted, and they paid money for it. Meanwhile, for every ad watched, Kyle gets money from CZcams. So you're literally taking money from fascists and giving it to Kyle's show. The ads are only a minute or less anyway, I've probably watched 400 of them.
There are no socialists on the panel tho.
Frank Lance democrat socialists* but to rethuglikkkans that equals communism. Lol idiots
No, the furthest left on the panel is a social democrat. No post-capitalist in sight
Tony, they aren't democratic socialists, they are social democrats.
no kidding
They should have invited a real anti-capitalist like Richard Wolff
You're a beast when it comes to video editing. Those legs almost look real.
One of the problems we have is that politicians are rated as “good” by the amount of money they are able to raise rather than the policies they stand by. I’m tired of having good fundraisers in Congress. Screw that! Get the money out and let’s get good policy makers in Congress.
0:27 Kyle w/the sick skin fade haircut here to steal yo girl 😂👀😅
Everyone on the left, start taking Notes of what Kyle is saying. Especially when he is giving strategies
What if Kyle was rolled out in a wheelchair and had no legs. Hahahaha that image makes me laugh.
o.o
The Kylemobyle
Jacob Taylor Im dead 😂😂
I don't get this. At one point the argument is that you gotta take corporate money to get elected to then implement good policies. Where do we see huge corporate candidates suddenly championing legal marijuana and a small defense budget?
They pretty much don't exist.
Exactly. That's the main problem we see with political careerists. They only care about taking the seat. They don't actually use the position to do good because they think doing nothing will somehow get them re-elected.
49:04 The moment the room exploded, because of Kyle!
Ughh idk how I feel about the camera, I feel the panel is too quiet and the crowd is too loud. Anyone else??
It's not just you. But it is okayish after the introduction.
Austin Hernandez right? Shame it was an interesting discussion
I had it on a speaker in my home and would turn it wayyy up to hear the panel then way down again when the audience would erupt
41:35 Kyle is absolutely right on this point; President Lyndon Johnson was infamous for his ability to pass through progressive legislation by “arm twisting” moderate democrats in the party. Obama could have done the same thing, he was a president with a supermajority. The only reason why he didn’t push for more was because the insurance & pharmaceutical industries had enough influence through campaign contributions on him and the party not to push.
Corporate sellouts don't know history.
Matthew wiggles Not just moderate Democrats. During the 1960s, President Johnson intimidated the conservative Southern Democrats into passing his agenda.
He famously told one of his opponents "If you get in my way, I will run you down".
lyndon johnson was one of the worst presidents in history, why is he the benchmark for anything
Space Age Productions Because he passed Medicare, Medicaid and expanded Social Security? The civil rights act and the voting rights act as well...He wasn’t perfect as the Vietnam War showed but he was way better than Clinton or Obama ever hoped to be.
No, actually, the only reason he didnt push it, because he didnt give a shit he is elitist asshole with outstanding charisma. Instead of doing what is right and unifing, he played Travon Martin thing. Enjoy the ride now.
I love that Corin took a way higher quality video of this than TYT
The problem wasn't the video, it was the sound quality of Politicon, it was awful for nearly every single event.
Appreciate the video 😊😊 but...
Panel talks : volume up
Crowd claps : hurry turn the volume down!!
Panel talk :volume back up... Etc etc etc
Try this: right-click on Speakers, go to "Playback devices", find Speakers, click on Properties, go to Enhancements and then check "Loudness Equalization" - if your speakers support it it will be there.
Or you can get "Volume Limiter". Both cost $0.00. Hope this helps. ( : ^ | )-----vV-----
Kyle for president... Smart witty kind intelligent and not orange
Seriously he should run for congress in 2020
He would be the first lesbian president. Go Kyle!
intelligent by what standard?
Hmm. Not-orange is now a standard? Well, I guess it is now okay for me to want a non-black president.
@@motorola1543 Pretty sure it's just a joke, dude...
I wish Kyle debated Charlie Kirk
Did you see how mad he got when Cenk asked him what his salary was?
That would have been legendary.
Legendary slaughter.
My favorite response when someone says “I’m a classical liberal” is “Really? I’m more of a free-soiler myself”
Would have thought David would have contributed more. He only spoke 3 times
Me too. I guess the panel was too large. I think what Pakman would have contributed was covered by Ana and Kyle.
His mic was complete shit too. I couldn't even hear him when he spoke, maybe that's why he wasn't speaking up idk
His mic was complete shit too. I couldn't even hear him when he spoke, maybe that's why he wasn't speaking up idk
Russia Russia Russia.
I' m not a fan of Dave. He floats in pseudo intellectual discourse he ineffectual.
Everyone loves Kyle haha
But..but... VENUZEULA!!
Kyle was forced to put his legs on.
Just remember that they are cybernetic attachments, not real legs.
Those CGI legs are pretty convincing.
I can't wait to watch Sam Seder eviscerate Charlie Kirk tomorrow. It's making me teary eyed even thinking about it. If anyone has ever watched his libertarian debates you would know omg
Charlie threw a fit towards the end debating that Hasan guy so I'm definitely sure it will be a murder on camera, illegal in 23 States, and with a riot started over the terrible condition of Charlie's mismatched wardrobe, even if Sam goes easy on him. There is no substance in that there Charlie ken doll one dimensional personality looking ass, sneakers jeans and a suit looking ass, holler like a petulant bitch when confronted on his real donors actin ass, we know it, he knows it, you know it.
Sam Seder is a hack.
Charlie Kirk is a cassette player. Hasan just demolished him. But he didnt even realise it
Eh seder is just a center-right Clinton supporter at heart
@@3star2nr "I LIVE LIKE A CAPITALIST EVERYDAY" *rushes off the panel at cenk*
LMAOOOO seltzer sellout!!! i'm surprised, i thought only like 12.3 people were in on that joke
It's a comment in every damn video lol ;D
Kyle makes an excellent point about bringing the left to the center by allowing for socialist ideas to be discussed. The right wing has completely controlled this narrative as to where the middle is. Frankly, I call myself a democratic socialist in terms of allowing the people to control the means of production and government. Of course your shoes shouldn't be made by the government, but if workers had more control in their own workplaces would we have less sweat shops, would unions have more rights, would corporations be more accountable for their impact on global warming? Yes of course and I'm sure the social democrats like Kyle or Ana would in fact be in favor of it.
That is the biggest argument for Socialism!
You can have a big umbrella all you want, but the only person who’s going to be under it is you.
Love it Kyle was the star of the room
The socialist panel with no socialists lol. Good discussion anyway
If I heard right, Sam Sedar of all people said at one point that he wants to abolush private property. Which is odd considering he seems to support no Party that advocates such things.
Kyle could so much as sneeze and we'd all lose our minds.
LoL This discussion should be "Is Joe Manchan a real democrat"..
I really hope you gave the proper definition of social Democracy and democratic socialism .
I think people need to know that medicare is socialism that is all.
@@ivanmontalco5082 wtf you talkin about, that would mean that entire europe is socialist
Sam is the only one who gave the correct definition of socialism. I'm half way through the video, that was the only mention of socialism. this panel is liberals vs socdems and its painful
Love your quadrant propic
Sam literally clarified this less than 5 minutes in.
I wanted to see Kyle but I'm from Europe....
I'm so proud of Kyle finally showing his knowledge he gathered over the years
raise ur hand if u r scrolling to reading all the comments
🖐
Ana must be wondering why everyone is commenting more about Kyle's legs instead of her legs.
Holy shit legs... and Kyle wayyyyy more over than anyone else lol. Respect, from a conservative.
Lmao
CIA psyops bro. It's fake legs
is this what the kids call deepfakes ???
CGI dude
@Nightingale >tries to take the high ground
>immediately sinks down to level by using the most cliche phrase ever used
Good job bud, fighting the good fight.
The black dude (sorry, forgot his name) is probably trying to do good...but he's just so wrong. Sooooo wrong.
he is a centrist and safe player. i don't like that at all. Just the typical Obama or Clinton...those are "republican lites" not progressives or even leftists.
Jup, pretty much.
I love Kyle. Thank you for denouncing the hypocrisies of our times.
This format is far better than a debate. Actual conversation ironing out differences instead of two "opponents"
