The fact of the matter is the democratic party would have consolidated around Clinton regardless and Biden would have lost another nomination. Burnie would have beat out Biden to the final 2 as well. The 2016 democratic primary was purely a coronation for Hillary.
The push from inside the democratic party to push out Biden is actually a very good sign.
Traditionally, one of the worst aspects of the democratic party is on an institutional level they look down at their own voters and it has always felt like they view them as an inconvenience they had to navigate to get power and then they can ignore them again for another few years.
Whilst a lot of this is currently motivated by self interest as a lot of their elected officials realise with Biden on the ticket they lose their seat, if successful this may be one of the most popular decisions with the wider democratic voter base the party has made in a very very long time.
... was the best. Age is hitting all of us, at some point. A candidate should be selected by future potential, not by past achievements.
