Shawn - THANK YOU for this episode. I just got a blood test back with my TPO antibodies being way higher than the normal range but with my T3 and T4 levels being within normal range. I have been researching Hashimoto’s disease like crazy trying to find a way to reduce these antibodies before they cause too much damage to my thyroid gland. I listen to your podcast all the time and I thought “I bet Shawn has an episode on this…”. And you did!!! Always coming through with the knowledge bombs that ACTUALLY help people target the root cause vs the symptoms. Thank you for always delivering the TRUTH 🙏🏼 I feel incredibly empowered to take control and try to address the warning signs before they become actual problems.
Thank you Shawn for so generously sharing all of your hard earned research in a way that is accessible and pragmatic. Much appreciated!
Your rockin the lip color!!!
Great show, thanks!
Another A1 video as usual :)
Literally just heard dmx in the gym before listening to this
Wow, Shawn you have incredibly strong interviewing skills! You are equally an amazing listener and have the ability to counter with excellent questions and dialogue that is pertinent to the conversation. Big props on being able to keep a complex subject digestible for your listeners. This show is your calling. The Dr. was incredible too. Thanks for all the information you have provided. God bless.
Selineum keeps me awake at night
This is amazing! I've got a question about ferritin: is there a known link between taking birth control and low ferritin levels?
Her lipstick, the headwrap and them glasses. She's so beautiful!
Hashitmotos is so difficult!
Shawn!!! Of all the episodes (and I love them all!) this one spoke the loudest to me. I am going to definitely get this book and will DM you on IG (I'm RushLB☺️) as my history with a severe childhood illness has affected me for a lifetime with my thyroid as well as my liver. Just listening to this episode made me have so many thoughts and emotions. Thank you for interviewing Dr. Wentz as this has provided me with a new resource to learn more about navigating my body and understanding how to keep it in an optimal state.
We hear you and appreciate that you leaning in and getting what you need to be the optimal you!!
yes, great needed topic even for men that have thyroid/ hoshimotos like me at 40. Most importantly, Janet J did "wait awhile" on "Control" but gave it up on "Rythym Nation"on "someday is tonight."...but jade knows this.😃
Yesssss! You know this!!!
JS - Men are also affected by the symptoms of Hashimoto's. Statistics state that 5-8 women are diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis for every man who is diagnosed. I hope you find this article useful too:

Speaking of fluoride in your toothpaste. Is there a toothpaste that I can purchase that does not have xylitol. I am allergic to it.
Love that lipstick!
Thanks Kate! xoxo
Adaptive physiology is it the same thing as epigenetics?
I live in the city of Chicago. There's definitely fluoride in the tap water. But how much is too much?
Joecasa2012 - Fluoride and chlorine can potentially be problematic in Hashimoto's. Fluoride in particular to be a trigger for Hashimoto's and Dr Wentz recommends getting a reverse osmosis filter or switching to bottled water, as well as getting fluoride free toothpaste, to avoid being exposed to it in such high amounts. I hope you find this article interesting:

yo yes, the lady from the thyroid secret!
Harry - Hashimoto’s is a complicated condition with many layers that need to be unraveled. While conventional medicine only looks at each body system as a separate category, and is only concerned with the thyroid’s ability to produce thyroid hormone, Hashimoto’s is more than just hypothyroidism. I wanted to pass along these articles that I wrote. I hope they help :

i think chem trails are responsible for hashi
I have Hashimoto, can I do water fast?
You're better off going on the Autoimmune Protocol by Dr Sarah Ballantyne.
Fasting is not recommended when hashimotos.
Iris S Your left with no choice if it’s thee only way to lose weight and nobody helps you! I mean doctors. I have a specialist they just keep it at bay based on my numbers. Years and years I couldn’t lose weight until I did watching my calories and intermittent fasting. 🤷🏼♀️ There isn’t any good information on hashimoto and weight loss. 😏
I’m been type 1 diabetic since childhood it’s been 41 years and 10 years ago was diagnosed with hashimotos disease also 2 autoimmune diseases both of them same thing happening just two different organs my questions is a little different my parents have blood types that back in the very old days people you’re not allowed to be together my mom is o negative rare blood type my dad o positive these blood types don’t mix at all now the children from parents who’s blood type are not made to mix I believe could cause severe issues with the offspring of such situations because you get half of both parents and if you get more from the negative blood type like myself I’m type o like my mother my body has been fighting itself most of my life I think someone should do more interesting on this particular issue as offsprings children of such parents and medical issues cause for concern Rohan don’t do nothing long term for this blood types should not be mixed in those situations I don’t agree
Honestly... I’m so tired of hashi.
I have hashimotos and was not properly diagnosed till I was 27 and trying to get pregnant. Had been trying for 3 years and could not. Went gluten free cleaned my diet completely and meditated and acupuncture and then I was able to have my healthy baby.
Hashimotos is such a complex issue. I have 3 kids now. And always after 2 years post partum. My body goes crazy my thyroid changes drastically and I gain weight. Get anxiety and depression.
Iris S same here girl! I hear you!
Iris S I have 3 kids as well was diagnosed after I had my first child 😏 and after my last baby I couldn’t go back to my original weight before my first. I stayed fat. I would only lose a few pounds either stay at the weight or gain them back.
