Hello Dr Lee, i'm here this morning to say thank you for passing my exam. Your videos tremendously help me, and I am so grateful for that. Thank you very much and God Almighty reward you with your heart desire.
I notice that book said wash for at least 20 seconds and I notice it went so fast glad to know that you can go longer then the 20 seconds thank you so much
Dr. lee, good morning, thank you for all your videos. 1 questions, including hand washing and indirect care, how many hand washing under the running water with soap that we must do it??? So far for my knowledge, total is 4 times , am I right, because before 5 skills start the first thing enter the room introduces yourself then washing hands after finishing this first skill at the end washing hands, then 2nd skill verbalize washing hands until end of the 2nd skill. On the 3rd skill, enter the room do same as the first skill about hand washing. So that’s why I got 4 times hand washing but when timing for hand washing it is not enough 3 minutes for 3 skills it is confusing me. Under Prometric please help me, thank you 🙏 🙏 🙏 ❤❤❤
Hello Tibetan, Credentia requires the candidate to fully wash their hands as the first skill. During the first skill, the candidate is graded on hand washing. After the first skill you can tell the evaluator that you are washing your hands INSTEAD of actually going to the sink and washing your hands. This is in the handbook. Let me know if you can't find it and tell me what state you are in.
@@credentiacnaskills3577 I am from NYC and under Prometric, on test on Jan 26 is it same prometric and credentia, thank you 🙏 🙏 🙏so much for responding, I appreciate your time and all your videos are very helpful I keep watching, learning, and practicing. Thank you 🙏 again. Wishing you a wonderful and prosperous happy New Year 🎊🎆🎈💐💐🥰🥰🥰🥰❄️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
Hi I just wanted share that I failed this skill in my pretest because my arms and wrists came up at a 90 degree angle therefore my hands were considered too high. However, I had to raise my hands to get paper towels. Is that okay to do?
Hello Christina, The evaluator will never measure the angle of your arm during handwashing. Please keep your hands over the sink and point the hand downward while washing. This is to keep the dirty water from going toward your elbow. You are perfectly correct to raise your hands to get a paper towel. The evaluator will not fail you for reaching for a paper towel.
Hello Aran, If you view the candidate handbook from Credentia, there is nothing written about not tapping. The evaluators can ONLY grade you on what is listed in the handbook to determine if you will pass the skill or not. I hope this helps you. Take care.
@@credentiacnaskills3577 Hello. Yes I know that there is nothing written about. There is only written not to flick or shake. Thats what you should not do, right?
@@aran-uq8ik Hello Aran, Please copy the information here where you are seeing that the state instructions say, "not to flick or shake" I have been teaching Credentia CNA Skills for 15 years and have NEVER seen that written. I will post what I have from Credentia guidelines for teaching students. SKILL 1 - HAND HYGIENE (HAND WASHING) 1 Address client by name and introduces self to client by name 2 Turns on water at sink 3 Wets hands and wrists thoroughly 4 Applies soap to hands 5 Lathers all surfaces of wrists, hands, and fingers producing friction, for at least 20 (twenty) seconds, keeping hands lower than the elbows and the fingertips down 6 Cleans fingernails by rubbing fingertips against palms of the opposite hand 7 Rinse all surfaces of wrists, hands, and fingers, keeping hands lower than the elbows and the fingertips down 8 Uses clean, dry paper towel/towels to dry all surfaces of fingers, hands, and wrists starting at fingertips then disposes of paper towel/towels into waste container 9 Uses clean, dry paper towel/towels to turn off faucet then disposes of paper towel/towels into waste container or uses knee/foot control to turn off faucet 10 Does not touch inside of sink at any time
@@credentiacnaskills3577 You are correct. Its not written in the book. But we were teached like that to only let the water drip without shaking or flicking. And Most of the Videos I watched about the hand washing skill say the same.
@@aran-uq8ik Hello Aran, I never want to go against another teacher out of respect. I teach directly by the state guidelines. If I add something that is not written in the guidelines, I will tell you that in the video. Nurses have different habits based on how they were trained. Therefore, I can only say, what I teach, I can back up with the state guidelines. If I am wrong, I am humble enough to say so. The state can ONLY grade a student during the state exam by WHAT IS WRITTEN IN THE GUIDELINES. Take care. Enjoyed the discussion.
Hello, What state are you in? Credentia's guidelines for handwashing are listed below. I will start with step 2. Where does Credentia guidelines mention the nailbeds? You may be confusing Credentia's guidelines with another agency's guidelines. It is very important to follow Your state testing agency's guidelines. My point exactly I just took test and passed you don't have to do nail beds individually ijs it was 2 girls that failed because they were over teached and nervous For example when doing modified bed bath you dont have to cover table you use its just an added unnecessary step to remember

Hello! Could you please post a video on taking manual blood pressure, Dr. Lee? Thank you!
I don't know how to make to record the blood pressure sounds.
Gm I’m going to take my test on Saturday I was wondering if it’s ok to place the call lite in reach before you walk away to get supplies
That will be fine.
Hey ms Lee I take my cna test soon ( written ) what can I use to study?
I have my students study my lecture PowerPoints. I am sure your instructor has given you lots of information.
Good Demonstration, but in my CNA course, they taught us to let the water drip without tapping. Why is this different Here?
