I took my test on Friday in Pennsylvania and i pass💃🏼 thank you so much Dr Lee❤
Congratulations. Welcome to healthcare.
How long does it take for you to find out if you pass
Hello Dr. Lee, I’m so happy I was watching your videos before. I was browsing another video with a RN demonstrating how to change Adult brief. But when she was done and remove her gloves, she didn’t wash or assimilate hand washing.
I’m doing my exam in two weeks and your videos makes me confident and ready. Thank you for all you do to educate us.
You are so welcome Bridgette.
Thank you Dr.Lee I just pass my test. Thank some much
Excellent! Welcome to healthcare.
I love ur details ty for sharing
You are so welcome
Dr. Lee, you say to not lower the bed and to keep it locked. Does credentia require you to raise the bed to your appropriate working level? By the way your videos are extremely helpful! I really appreciate the time you take to explain the why portion of the do's and do not's of credentia. Bless you Dr. Lee!
Hello Credentia, does not require the candidate to raise the bed to their waist level. I teach my students to NOT raise the bed because they get nervous during the exam. If the candidate forgets to LOWER the bed, that will cause a fail because the candidate left the patient in an unsafe position.
hello, on the credentia steps, it does not state to wear gloves when removing gown, just to have gloves before washing, i like the way you did it but wonder if they will take point off if i don’t follow the numbered list because i thought those were the steps…
I am keep watching your video. My exam is on middle of this month. ❤
You got this!
would they take points off i we don't provide a barrier on the overbed table before placing the equipment?
I pass my exam today in washinton state thank you so much
Great job!
Amazing content! I have my exam on Saturday in Ga! So helpful with studying. Thank you❤️
Good luck!!
@@credentiacnaskills3577 update: i pass both exams the same day and in the first try! I got hand hygiene, weight an ambulatory client, foot care, bed pan and assist with dressing! Thank you for All the videos! Keep it up❤️
Love your skill videos!! Definitely a lot of help I’ve been through this test before but my nerves got the best of me. But quick question my instructor is teaching us to not put on gloves while putting on the bath blanket but you did it while having the gloves on. Will they fail me if I keep don’t have my gloves on while putting the bath blanket on? Thank you!
Hello Jaiya, Credentia requires that the gloves be on BEFORE you start washing. So, you won't fail if you have gloves on or off when applying the bath blanket. Review step 5.
Puts On Clean Gloves BEFORE Washing the Client.
@@credentiacnaskills3577 thank you so much!!
Great video!! I just want to know is it important for us to put the bed to the lowest level when we go to dispose of the gown and before we end the skill before we give the call light to patient , do we have to put the bed to the lowest point?
Hello Beverly,
There are 19 steps for the bath skill with Credentia. None of the steps require the student to raise or lower the bed. Therefore, I tell my students NOT to touch the height of the bed during this skill. It is not a requirement.
If you do raise the bed for whatever reason, you MUST lower the bed when leaving the client.
Hello! Thanks so much your videos! I have a question. Does the towel not have to be folded in fours....so very areas is used in a clean manner...each part of the towel is using a clean part? Does that make sense?
Hello, No, you don't have to fold the towel for the bath
When rinsing or drying arm does it matter if you go from fingers to arm pit or arm out to fingers?
Hello, The state does not care about the order of washing the arm, underarm, or fingers.
Is it required to add the paper towel step for turning on the water?
Hello, the paper towel step is NOT a requirement.
Also can to redress the gown on top of bath blanket....and then pull sheets up...as long as the patient is n9t exposed?
Hello, dressing the patient under the blanket or on top of the blanket are both fine.
Hi Dr. Lee Does it matter whether or not we wear gloves when we take off the gown before we wash the the arm and face? And your videos are great love them❤
Hello, Credentia ONLY requires to gloves to be on BEFORE washing the client. See step 5 (Puts on clean gloves before washing client.) Therefore, you can remove the gown without gloves on if you wish. This would make you fail the skill.
Hello, You don't need gloves on to take the gown off. The gloves MUST be on BEFORE washing the client.
Hey does any of the washing skills require you too change their gown they have on?
Hello, the bathing skill requires you to change the resident's gown. Dressing the client with a weak arm requires the candidate to remove the gown also.
Hi, love your videos!!
My questions is on step #10
It started with fingers, hand, arm and underarm. It's this the right order? Or it doesn't matter?
Thank you
Hello, You can wash the arm in ANY order. The candidate can start with the underarm if he/she wishes. If the state agency wants the candidate to start at a certain place, the state will STATE so.
Look at step 6. It is written to BEGIN, with the eyes. This is not indicated in step 10. Good question.
I had the same concern as hazel3694.I guess that the armpits would have sweat and maybe dried deodorant so it should be done last.
My thoughts exactly
For step 10 I’ll personally start washing from the fingers down to the armpit, just to be on the safe side, because nobody knows what the examiner might think.
I agree. Since under arm sweaty area I will start mine from hand❤
our instructor has us empties and rinse used water in toilet.Does it matter where basin water is emptied?
Hello, Credentia does not care where the water is emptied for the bathing skill.
Love ur videos how many skills have to do for the test in 30 minutes
Hello Barbara, There are 5 skills on the state exam.
Do we need to change into new gloves after removing soiled gown?
Hello, No, you don't have to change gloves when placing on the clean gown.
Hi dr lee, will I fail if i dint raise the bed up to my working level? I know in real life you should, but for testing purposes it doesn’t say anywhere that you HAVE to. I think it will be less stressful for me personally to just leave the bed in the lowest position but didn’t know if that was OK?
For any skill
She did mention to leave the bed as it is in another video that I watched bc if it’s high and u leave to get supplies you could get marked. Hopefully she replies bc I’m wondering the same thing I have my exam in 4 days
Sorry for replying so late. I had a family illness that has kept me away. I encourage students to keep the bed low. If the candidate raise the bed to their waist level and forgets to lower the bed, that may cause the candidate to fail. The patient will be in an unsafe position and can fall out of bed.
Hello, You will not FAIL by leaving the bed in the lowest position.
Hello, You are not required to raise the bed.
Hello-Do we put the HOB up to a fowler or it dont matter?
Hello, Credentia does not care about the position of the bed for the bathing skill.
@@credentiacnaskills3577thank you!
Anyone if you have to wash your hands (physically) for any of the skills, taking my test on tuesday. . so nervous but ready to get this done.
Hello, Your very first skill will be Handwashing. You will physically wash your hands with the first skill. After the first skill, you ONLY need to tell the evaluator when you would wash your hands.
Please make a video of skill #3 Assist To Ambulate Using Transfer Belt
I will put that on my to-do list. Thanks
Dr Lee,this video is different from the ones you did last two years. Please I want to know if the ones of last two years are still accurate? Your first video about modify bath on the other video, you put linen protector under the patient’s pillow down to the back to protect water from touching the pillow case and the bedsheet, here you didn’t do that. Are all your first videos still accurate, just seeing this video today. Please answer me.
Hello, I have two sets of videos on CZcams. I believe you are speaking of the Prometric skills videos. This channel is for Credentia skill. Make sure you are watch the CZcams videos for your state testing agency.
Is this different from Prometric? I just saw this page now
Hello, Yes, Credentia skills are very different from Prometric.
Do we HAVE to use a bath blanket?
Hello, You can use a sheet or a bath blanket.
Can we use the sheet that is already on the patient?
@@millygervais9773 I used the sheet the client had on for my test and I passed
will we fail if we use to many washcloths and towels
No, the evaluator will not grade on the number of washcloths.
For the test should she be flat?
Hello, There are 19 steps for this skill. None of the steps ask the candidate to keep the patient flat. Therefore it does not matter if the patient is supine or fowlers.
