I want to thank you for all your help. I passed my CNA exam today and it's all because of your help, technique, explanation, instruction and detail. Kind Regards from a California CNA.
I just want to thank you guys so much for your videos... i am from california, and I got this particular skill...i've watched it over and over and even practiced it at home... well I passed my test with flying colors... thank so much you guys... this video really helped me :)
Correction, she didn't dry the arm, she just removed the towel. Question, why did she uses same towel that rinsed the face to rinse the arm? Shouldn't be used a different towel??
+Francisco Mendoza All of the skill videos were produced specifically to demonstrate the 20 skills that are tested on Maryland’s GNA exam. Other states or occupations may have different standards or even skills that are tested for. All the skills that are demonstrated follow the step by step instructions from the Maryland Nurse Aid Candidate Handbook exactly as prescribed by the NNAAP( National Nurse Aide Assessment Program). The goal of these videos is to help GNA students pass the skills portion of their exam and to assist CNA instructors. As far as the correction goes the video was produced with an obvious transition at that point because step 12 “moves body gently and naturally, avoiding force and over-extension of limbs and joints” had been demonstrated and is directly in reference to step 11 “Rinses and dries arm, hand and underarm” so it was time to move on to 13. We did not mean to confuse viewers by not actually showing the drying as we felt it was implied. We’ll keep this in mind for future training and thank you for the feedback. To answer your question, the steps for this skill, as dictated by the NNAAP, do not specifically mention using a different towel. Hopefully you still found this useful.
