    I have just come in from the garage having replacing the headlights on mine....easy enough job but my old ones have what looks like the adjustment motor on them and I haven't figured out how to get those units out and install them on the new headlights yet. I need to look into that. Also I need to check the aim on them, but that's tomorrow's task. Thanks for the video, mate.....it helped me quite a lot. Nifty little cars - we have zero regrets at having bought ours last year. Your channel is a great resource.

    Good informative video, these headlight units respond well to polishing up to remove the haze that develops on the lens, that operation is best done with h/light removed as per the video.

      Good question. I ruled that out as you would have to re-align the headlight adjustment if you did and it looks too tight. I don't think you can get the cap off, I never tried. This is how I did it: czcams.com/video/1LWT-YqiTzE/video.htmlsi=Jm1G9uNMiwUKJAC3. But, if you can find a way video it, post it on your channel and let me know :-)

    Hello Harvey!
    First of all I want to say amazing work with the skoda fabia repair playlist. My mom has an old fabia which I usually take care of many things myself and your videos really helped me so much this far, thank you. Also I have a question for you, the problem with our fabia is that the headlight adjuster units (electric motor inside the unit & the white adjuster screws) are broken so you cannot adjust the height of the bem of the light. I would like to know if I can adjust the height of the beam playing with the adjuster knot bolt as its the only option that I have and that comes into my mind.
    Thank you in advance :)

    • @HatBoyHarvey
      @HatBoyHarvey  Před rokem

      Hi, thanks for the support. The light unit moves within the outer shell which the adjusters attach to. If the adjustment has been moved to the maximum on either screw it can sometimes appear that they don't work, so it maybe worth checking for that. Cheap replacement units can also not work correctly as I had one that did that with the adjusters. If you buy a new unit either buy an OEM one from a scrapped vehicle or a good new one from a shop that you can return it to if found not to work rather than online :-)

      Mk1 is much better than mk2...mk3 is also very good. Here in Czech republic, mk1 is the most common car. Mk2 is not behind much.
