    This marked
-The first and only playoff win for Randall Cunningham and Reggie White as starting Eagles players
-The first and only playoff win for Rich Kotite as head coach
-The last Saints playoff game until 2000
-The last game where all members of the Dome Patrol played together

They redirected Kotite’s headset to a Chinese restaurant on Bourbon St. for the entire 4th quarter. He never knew the difference and the Eagles were able to get to work. Someone snitched after the game and he didn’t let that happen the next week in Dallas.

The Eagles scoring 36 points against this Saints defense does not get talked about as much as it should. It was an insane accomplishment.

Yup, and a quite a few of those points were thanks to the Eagles D. 9 directly, more off turnovers.

Prior to this game, both of these teams with really talented defenses had that stigma of not being able to win a game in the playoffs. Philadelphia wound up being the team that won this game after losing their opening playoff game in 1988, 1989 and 1990 (1991 did not make the playoffs (10-6) - Randall Cunningham was lost for the season with a knee injury but the defense had one of the greatest seasons ever).

The Saints hadn't given up more than 21 points in an entire game all season, they gave up 26 in the fourth quarter.

The Bills and 49ers struggled to put points on the Dome Patrol for an entire game, but Philly lit them up in one quarter!

@@chrisuncleahmad Because most of the points are not on the Saints D. Hebert threw a pick deep in his own territory (puts the defense in terrible field position), then took a safety, then threw a pick-six. Only thing you can fully put on the Saints D for giving up is the circus catch by Barnett.

@@sycasey And that was moreso a great effort by Barnett in double coverage

First playoff win for the Eagles since 1980.

What a great game! 29 unanswered points and a great road win.
I think overall this was a talented under-achieving team held down by bad coaching.

Wow, Hebert was just brutal in that fourth quarter.

And to think, he was one of the best QBs in Saints history until 2006…

@Steve Kovaleski Archie Manning was pretty good. Always trapped on bad teams, but pretty good.

Arguably one of the worst 4th quarters for a QB in NFL playoff history. My grandmother could have done better than Hebert.
