It’s amazing how the Eagles downgraded their roster from 1994 (Herschel Walker, Eric Allen, Byron Evans, benching Cunningham) yet somehow got better

The lesson of this Wild Card game of the Lions and Eagles is : Wild Card Crash ♥♦♦🦁🦁🕊🏈. In the doubleheader on ABC at 4pm, the Lions go to the City of Brotherly Love to face a juggernaut Eagles team with Rodney Peete who had a magical season of getting in the playoffs so does the Detroit Lions with Rasputin Wayne Fontes....up till now. Lomas Brown started talking shit saying they would make Philadelphia quit in the 4th quarter, not wise words to say and lesson to all football fans you don't say you're gonna make a team quit, Idiot. Ray Rhodes and the Eagles taught Wayne Fontes ( in his final playoff game as a Lions head coach) a lesson in a very high scoring gunfight at the Vet and send Barry Sanders and Detroit back to Motown, while the Birds look foward to Round 3 in the divisional round next Sunday in Dallas. And little did Wayne Fontes know, ⌛⌛, time is running out on him in Motown in 1996. End of lesson.

Many people are just overly excited to be on the right path. I did like 1 guy who does his thing on CZcams as many do having seen and been a fan of this team for 34years now at 44yrs old the young guy I believe he is 20ish said he never experienced the Worst losing which is prob true for the most part we had times when the team actually wasn't "terrible" hell was even decent or good but nightmares unfolded either seen or not seen coming. 91 obviously and sadly this team has been celebrated because it was our best team in the SB era but it was a train wreck we knew was coming as we had nothing for the Redskins who beat us mercilessly in the season and even whipping Dallas who went on their reign of terror for 4 or 5 years winning 3 SBs the next yr thanks to construction of Jimmy Johnson which as it aged and had issues arise the Cowboys have never returned to that since Jerry Jones started playing GM and his kid. We even were in that NFC Championship game at halftime trailing 17-10 it was never that close again it just didn't come till 2nd half and we lost 41-10. Then came 1996 damn good offense ok defense. Came into Philly feeling good the wheels came off early. Lost Perriman whom he and Moore had 1 of the best teammate wr seasons ever especially in an older era where defense wasn't handicapped like it is now but 7-7 after 1 it spun outta control fast and the worst part was we lost to Rodney Peete and yeah we had Scott Mitchell but hell he played pretty damn good that yr even pro bowler and because of so few lefty Qbs who have do e anything was still like #10 all time left handed QB video on NFL Network few years back. So we have had some just ugly defeats in playoffs 1 kinda expected the other a kick in the balls. So we have had it smash us in the face in just about everyday in my era and my guess is this who have cheered for 40yrs have more face smashes all the way back to Bobby Layne and the curse as it's known. I think this honestly is the best track we been on building up a team in my era I can think of. We had some moments and names via draft under Schwartz and Mayhew and Caldwell did solid with what he inherited that had under achieved and 2014 seemed like we were on track but it just became avg and crumbled inevitably and Quinn made sure of it bring in Patricia Matt was the dagger there.
