  • Today, I hook up a $15 remote controller to the $20 Air horn that was in my car. Why would I do this? Well, to scare Eric, obviously...

    Your horn pranks are the best! It kind of reminds me of some of the pranks that I have done in the past especially with a portable panic alarm button small enough to fit in a pocket. When you meet and greet old friends just set it off when you shake their hand, or set it off when you are answering their question! LoL 😂 Besides that, I needed a good laugh this morning! Keep up the good work on your videos. 😉

      Thank you, my friend. I love pranks. Just this morning i set up a party-popper in someones locker. They will have a nice surprise tomorrow.
      Those panic alarms are scary loud, I remember them well. My brother probably still has flasbacks. Cheers!

    Also, will it only work with a 12V battery, or can I use one of my Ridgid tool 18V batteries?

    • @StrangeGarage
      @StrangeGarage  Před 4 lety

      Great question. It will probably work on 18v, but i would check the spec sheet of the one you buy. 18v is a 50% increase in voltage, so it might cause problems, but it may also work.

      @@StrangeGarage I notice you're using the 3Ah Milwaukee 12v battery. Would the slimmer 1.5ah M12 cp battery work as well? Also would really like to see a more detailed build video showing things like what connectors you use to connect to the battery, housings you use for the controller, etc.

    So no share on where to get a controller?

    • @StrangeGarage
      @StrangeGarage  Před 4 lety +1

      Amazon and eBay both have them. It's called a "4 channel remote relay" or "remote RF controller". About $15.

      @@StrangeGarage So where can you get the really loud horns that work with this unit? Ebay as well?

    • @StrangeGarage
      @StrangeGarage  Před 4 lety

      @@nn2380 Yes, exactly. The horn was a whole kit including compressor from ebay for about $20. So for $35 you can irritate many people.
