Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: Final Boss Cheese

- One small correction: You have to roll the grab attack in Phase 2 -- if you get hit by it once, it's ok. If you get hit by it twice, you'll instadie. Besides that, block away!
Talismans and build can be seen at various points in the video although besides the turtle talisman, they genuinely do not matter. Level wise, all you want is to have 60 vigor, 50 endurance, strength for whatever shield you want to use, and the dexterity to wield the Antspur Rapier.
If anything is unclear, please, feel free to reach out to me. I'll be happy to help in any way I can! - Hry
if you don't wear the OG Radahn armour for this boss, I'll be upset
Im going even further, im beating him with the starscourge greatsword
@@Elden-Bear Show him who's the actual General in these lands!
Can you make a video on where to find larval tears, excluding the 5 early ones cuz i used the 18 orginal gamnne ones and the 5 early ones already
Thanks for the build!, definitely helped me and my bro. Also, forgive me for I have sinned, I forgot to wear the Radahn armor.
Did it with the armor my lord !!
this was the only enemy in the game to force me into using a shield and/or a thrusting sword ever.
Yeah this fight was straight up brutal. I want to learn how to do phase 2 without shielding but fuck, it's pretty damn hard xD
im going with shield doing parrys , mimic tear etc etc, hes still clapping my cheaks
@@wtfurlookingat1514 try giant crusher he breaks poise after 3 heavy hits
@@mertcan4957 bro im doing parrys poise its not an issue
@@mertcan4957he doesn't. I've tried. After 7 or 8 hits, poise still isn't broken.
For those who are thinking about summoning the NPCs (in regards to their questline): DO NOT SUMMON THEM! It vastly increases Radahns HP - much much easier to fight it with your mimic tear only! YOU WILL STILL GET THEIR ITEMS! Just tested this myself.
Very good advice -- to be honest, it's still doable with NPC/Player summons due to most of the damage being % based, but I think it's much smoother just doing it solo / with Spirit Ashes
I summoned them thinking i had to thank you for letting me know
Bro life saver i wasted like 7 larval tears to no avail but u helped me out thx
For me in ng7+, my mimic only can survive until radahn phase 2, so It is still worth to summon them for first phase and summon mimic for second phase, if you lucky they can still survive until radahn meteor
@@Dayethoventhank god u said this
Bro thank u so much you have saved me from suicidal thoughts and hours of grinding 😂😂😂
I'll put this on my resume, thank you very much
Real talk though, congrats on beating him! You da man
I have struggled with this boss for 5 days! Tried Rivers of Blood, Stagger, Super Dodging, Magic. Nothing worked. And, on my third try with this build, I beat it! Thank you so much! I was about to quit the game and just go "the game won." But thanks to you, that's not the case! :)
I'm really happy to hear that, and congratulations on your victory. Awesome perseverance dude!
OMG it did work, thanks for the help your the only one with a real cheese so far
No worries and congrats!
Is it really a "cheese" when you're just using items given to you in the game and not exploiting any glitches or bugs? Sounds like this is just playing normally imo
@@Sanji_Vinsmoke_69yeah I would call it the “meta” rather than “cheese”
Insane how effective this strategy is, thanks for this guide! Was a dummy my first several attempts when I was summoning the two NPCs and making the fight harder than it needed to be as well. The combo of bleed AND rot on a weapon that you can apply while guarding-to quote Blaidd, "What a sick way to do battle!"
That Blaidd quote -- been a while since I heard it. I love it.
I hope this has helped you, I should be the one thanking you for your kind comment!
Thank you!!!! I just did this build and beat him after 5 tries!!! Straight to the point and it worked!!! You're awesome man!!!
I'm really glad to hear about your win dude, congrats!!
best cheese so far, I love it. I appreciated your work. Your perfect trick
I'm genuinely happy to hear that it worked out. Congrats on your victory!
Bro you are an absolute chad for making this build. It helped me a lot!❤
this build have been around since Elden Ring people just dont show it around much on ER channels because its almost a cheat.
I'm genuinely glad it worked out for you, congrats on your win!
I do not comment often but I really have to say thank you.
Your built has helped me beating Radahn more easily. Finally I’ve done it.
No need to thank anything, I'm just glad it worked out well!! Congrats on the victory x)
just want to say thank you! I tried blind, and then i tried other builds but i suck at this game but still enjoy it. I was level 17 and 9 for SOTE levels. You actually taught me how to block! I dont even feel like i cheesed it! Thanks again!
No need to thank anything man :) I'm just very happy to hear that this worked out for you. Congrats on your well earned victory
PS: trust me, I very much suck myself, and I'm certain it applies to others as well. Point is to have fun :) that is all that matters, right?
THANK YOU!!! I was going insane trying to kill him with all sorts of builds. I'm lvl 300+ with 19 in shadow blessings and I was still struggling so hard. You're the man!!
I'm really happy you got him! Congrats :)
Thank you for posting this, I tried several other builds posted online and some got close but I couldn't win. I beat him first try with this buuld. Thank you so much!
No need to thank anything, I'm just really glad it worked out well for you :) Congrats on your victory!!
Hey man, just saying you helped me out greatly with this. You deserve way more views! Unlike others you have a simple and short answer. Straight to the point!
I'm just happy to have been of help! Congrats on your win dude
Bro, thank you so much. I was stuck in this fight for tens of hours, but managed first try with your strat! Currently on Ng+
Congrats for your win! All that matters now is that you got him, I'm happy for you
Thank you for this build! Beat Radahan 2nd try with it. Appreciate it! Now I can finally sleep knowing it’s all over. 😊
Hell yeah dude, congrats on your win. Now you can just enjoy the rest of the game without thinking about Radahn ever again x))
Bro this is literally my first time looking up a guide for elden ring, I can't thank you enough I was losing my mind for a few days to the point where I played something else lol
I'm sorry about that and I feel you dude. This boss was straight up infuriating with Phase 2
Just stopped by to say THANK YOU. Didnt think I would ever beat this boss until this video.
I'm really happy that you got him, congrats dude!!
Excellent, excellent guide, got him second try after hours of bashing my head against the wall with different builds and constantly getting demolished in phase 2 :D
Really happy to hear you got him, congrats dude!
Same here. Tried pretty much everything else. Spears were too slow to proc. Rot and bleed, rappier and shield are the winning combo.
Gosh this video needs more popularity. Beyond helpful.
I'll be completely honest, I'm just glad I could help some people :) that's all that matters!
Died like probably 200 times to this guy saw your video wasn’t thinking it was gonna work but boy was I I wrong this is an absolute tank of a build and I got him first try ty your a goat ❤
I'm so happy to hear that it all worked itself out well. Congrats on your well deserved win. This boss is no joke with the difficulty
Thank you so much for this! The weapon set really paid off.
No worries! I just hope it was of help. And yeah, thrusting weapons with shields are amazing x)
I did it!!! Thank you for your vid. Literally was taking forever until I came across this. Had phase 1 locked down but Phase 2 was something else. Much appreciated.
Oh man I fully understand you, I'm shocked Phase 2 hasn't been toned down yet. Either way I'm genuinely glad that you got him and that this strat worked. Congrats on your win!
1:10 Radahn meteor works same as non dlc one, his starting point is where you are standing when he lifts off, if you manage to run 1/4 or 1/3 of the arena you can ignore entire dmg instance. I did it 2-3 times now, basically if you are in center of arena when he jumps, run either left or right (try to reach wall) if you are at the side of the arena run to middle or just full diagonal line from where his starting point is, try not to run "front/back" as his landing has some coverage, so he can clip you if you run towards boss fog or throne.
This is incredibly helpful. Thank you for the quick rundown :)
This was the ONLY method that worked!!
thank you SO so much!!!
I am genuinely happy to hear that you got him. Congrats on your well earned victory dude :)
Dude I am so grateful! It didn’t work as quickly as I thought it would but it worked!
I'm genuinely glad to hear that it worked out well. Congrats!
Thank you so much for this, man. Cant believe it works so insanely well. Literally got him first try with this and was far away from dying.😅
I'm really happy for you, congrats on your win dude!
Beat it after 30 minutes of pain with this strat. Thank you so much I can finally rest.
Congrats on your victory dude -- time to properly ''enjoy'' the rest of the DLC now x)
Dude you save me a lot i cant beat radhan for 5 days and try many methods but yours is working perfectly
Very very happy for you honestly -- congrats on your victory!
This was the only "Cheese" that worked for me. Thank you!
Genuinely glad to hear it worked out well, congrats on your victory!
In addition to that use the magic shield spell from the main game. Just find a window where you can refreah it and your stamina should be fine. It even lowers the damage you gain from certain attacks.
I legit did not think of this but you're absolutely right, it helps a lot especially vs. Starcaller's Cry and the other gravity spells
I have no words..i was stuck 3 days at this boss and with this method worked like a charm!!!!!!!
Congrats dude, I'm really happy it worked out for you :)
thank you so much !!! you're a legend ! I beated this FIRST TRY with your build !!!!
I'm really happy to hear that it all worked out well! Congrats on your win
thanks man, that was so easy with your build!!
I'm genuinely glad it was of help, grats on your victory!!
Thank you thank you!!! Took me a few tries but this worked perfectly!!
I'm very glad to hear that, congrats on your win!
Anyway thanks for the help man, you’re a legend.
No worries dude, I'm just happy it worked for you. Congrats on the win
Make sure to use Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear for P2! It fully negates the dive and made it super easy! Just use it asap he´s starting to fly up, the bubble lasts 15sec, so long enough.
I actually had no idea at the time of doing this but you're spot on -- it's incredible how much it helps!
this is the only real cheese i've seen until now. others were all just not working on NG+'s.
I assume this means you got him :) congratulations dude!
@@fermyonds are you on ng7 in the video
@@XxSveer Obviously not
@@XxSveer Nope, just basic NG -- been seeing mixed signals regarding the viability in NG+, some people saying it works well, some saying it doesn't, so I'm not entirely sure how well this applies to higher NG+ tiers
@@fermyonds I did the build at NG+2 if it helps, it will work but you need the twin turtle talisman, shield talisman and marika's braid. I also "used" Barricade Wall, but maybe like twice in whole fight.
this boss kinda insane, you barely have window to do anything, he keep attacking non-stop.
Yea they need to fix the attack window for him
To be honest that's my biggest gripe with the DLC in general. I feel like a lot of the AoW's are (almost) unusable in many circumstances unless it's something that comes out very quickly, or is there to just buff your weapon (like RKR or Cragblade). Wish we had slightly bigger windows
1st Phase Radahn is fun once you get a hang of his moveset, 2nd phase is idiotic because it has too much AoE and too many roll catchers on his 20 second + combos.
Does adding Cragblade to the Antspur works?
Seriously I spent hours and hours on him and could barely make any progress. I’m so ready to just move on to NG+ so thank you so much. First try and I’m on NG+ 5 right now.
I'm really glad you got him, well done dude! Congrats on your win and I'm happy I could be of help
This! Absolutely legend. Thank you
I hope this means it worked out well for you? x)
I got so tired of the climb up this area getting hit every time I take a step, so I put this build on. I literally beat him first try. I’m honestly shocked how cheese the build is.
Super happy to hear that, congrats on your win dude!
Yes it is a lil boring but I had to switch out last night he was murdering me 2nd phase lol. Swapped up and he was soooo easy.
I have tried this, it worked! In the 3rd time! Kudos! Thanks!
I'm glad to hear it worked so well, congrats dude!
I am beyond thankful dude! One question, what are the physicks you're using, and did you use any incantations before entering the boss?
I'm thankful for your kind words! The physick set-up was Opaline and Deflecting at the time, though I think Opaline + any stamina Physick works better.
I didn't bother with any buffs to be honest. Phase 1 doesn't really need it and in Phase 2 you kind of don't have the time to get any off. The one I started using now though is the Magic Shield spell. Helps greatly with the Gravity damage
just beat it on my like twentieth try using this thank you so much bro!!! 🙌🏼
No worries! I'm glad to hear you won, congrats and enjoy your well earned win x)
Cheers man, helped me out!
Really glad to hear that, congrats on your win!
Thank you this build was killer
I am glad to hear that, hope it worked out well for you!
Thx man...got him on ng+5 with your build. Thank you so much...
No need to thank anything! Congrats on your win dude, well earned!
One thing that would make this even better is using the scholar shield spell which increases damage mitigation and reduces stamina damage blocking attacks. It only takes 12 int to use
You're correct, that also helps immensely. I didn't think of it at the time which is my bad, but it truly does make all the gravity magic even more tolerable
Best build guide ever for that OP spam turd. Thanks!
Thanks mate, tried lot of things at ng+7, only this worked. Still needed like 20-30 try.
Same. Impenetrable thorns build works too in ng+7 btw
I'm just happy it worked. Congrats on your victory!
Thank you so much i finally did it you are the best
I'm just happy it worked out for you, congrats dude!
U have no idea how much I love u
I hope this means it worked out well? :D
I don't know how to thank you but this helps me a lot
No worries man, I hope you managed to get him! That's all that matters
I'm glad I saw this video because I hate playing as a wizard, but couldn't find a way to beat this guy in P2. Once I understood he's weak to blood loss and you can stand behind Fingerprint Stone Shield and tank most of his attacks, it was actually pretty simple. Block and stab with blood loss made this super simple; if you're going to use one of the summons, use Ansbach because his weapon also has blood loss on it.
I'm really glad that you managed to beat him, congrats dude! And yeah I fully understand you, P2 is nuts. I'm kind of surprised they haven't adjusted anything yet
Brother thank you ! I was getting to just under halfway with my build and it just wasnt getting any better, "I might as well use "THE WALL" i thought to myself". I beat him in 5 attempts with this build . 😂
I'm really glad it worked out for you. Congrats dude!
Thank you very much for this! Finally killed him with guidance from your video after hours of failed attempts and frustration haha
No worries, I'm genuinely glad I could be of help, and congrats on your kill!
I try so hard and finally your build...IT WORK! thank bro HERE YOUR Subscribe Love you bro❤
Love you too man, I'm happy you got him. Congrats :)
Thanks so much for this video. Melted him easily on my first Shield build. Used Greenspill and Greenburst Crystal tears. Pearl Shield, Dragoncrest shield, Twoheaded Turtle and Lord of Blood Talismans. Mimic Tear Ashes. Radahn's Lion Armor. 60 into both Strength and Endurance and 40 into Arcane. It was over too fast. God bless.
Your build was great for this, much more optimized than mine was at the time! I'm glad you got him, congrats on that victory!
Thanks! I've tried to beat him countless times, but this method rules!
Congrats! He is really, really hard -- I learnt to properly do his phase 1 but phase 2 I simply can't do well yet, not without a shield anyway. It's genuinely tough xD
@@fermyonds I was able to avoid this massive area attack in the second phase. I was running away with dodging in the panic mode 🤣.
love the dark souls music by the way...in the background...fire link shrine
I always use that track. One of my favourites of all time
Got him first try with this build lol thanks man! It really is that easy with this build just hold shield and poke
Congrats dude, I'm genuinely happy to hear you beat him!
Thx very much, Great build.
I hope it worked out well for you!
Thank you, it really worked 👍🏻
It’s funny, until now i didnt even know this weapon, although it’s in the main game. Never found 😂
Genuinely happy it worked out for you :) but yeah, honestly there's still things I'm founding now, even after having played ER for 2 years, so don't worry x) it's a vast world after all
Thank you. Did it in an NG7 world with this build. Also enchanted the shield blue.
I'm really glad to hear that. You're right too, the shield enchant for magic damage helps greatly.
I was afraid of how it'd be in higher NG cycles but I'm glad it worked out!
You can use verdigris shield and mohgs spear as it has extra range over antspur, and manage your stamina
I didn't realize at the time how good the Verdigris shield is. But yeah, the Mohgwyn spear works probably even better honestly :) all in all great advice
@@fermyonds me either, to be honest this boss was so frustrating I just wanted to get it done. I don’t feel it’s a cheese, as it’s a legit build, but it shows how tough it is when the only really valid approach is to just tank it all - feels a bit uncreative as a player. You spend an entire game (or several) refining a build and then have to chuck it all out just to have a hope against this one boss.
Can't believe it worked thank you 😅
Pd . If you're going to use ash spirit use the divinine fortification for a reduced holy damage when the boss is distracted it save you a lot of damage taken
Congrats on your win, I'm genuinely happy! And you're right -- that spell makes a world of a difference. Honestly wish most bosses gave you the time to get a cast like that off.. x)
THIS!! THIS IS THE VIDEO THAT FINALLY FUCKING WORKED!!!. If anyone needs a way to actually kill radahn I am going to recommend them THIS video. Good job man.
Hey it's Giorno!! Honestly, I'm just happy I could've been of help x) Congrats on your kill dude!
It worked❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much
I'm genuinely happy to hear that it worked out well -- grats on your win man :)
I love u after 2 days i finaly get him with this
I love you too! Congrats on your win
Thank you brother number one 👍🏻👍🏻
No problem man! Congrats for your win!
Thanks! Just beat him with this build in ng +7. Only other build I know that works easily is the impenetrable thorns build
I haven't tried the Impenetrable Thorns build yet but I'm curious now, I might do it next time!
Congrats on your win
finally beat radahn with this build after getting my ass kicked countless times in phase two with my unsheathe nagakiba build. i did a tiny tweak and swapped the dragoncrest greatshield talisman with the golden braid to deal with the phase 2 bullshit aoe beams. to top it off, i summoned my mimic at the start of phase two. after 1 more hour of struggling, i got the win. thank you so so much for sharing this build. i thought i was going to have to struggle for ages.
also, you can bring this build to ng+ and higher. i beat radahn at ng+3, but i do have scadutree blessing level 20, so not sure how it would do with lower level blessing. and i'm also not sure how it would do at ng+7 and higher.
Congrats on your victory! I haven't tested the validity of this build on higher NG+ yet either but I've seen people saying they had success, so I hope it works well lol
Other than that, you're right about the talismans. At the time of making this I didn't think of optimizing it too much. I was surprised how well it worked even with sub-par talismans
You can use miquella’s great rune to combat a attack if you have it
Lol I'll be honest I had no idea Miquella had an obtainable great rune, I'll have to look this up .Thank you !
@@fermyonds its more like a reusable item, it works infinitely. Its weird they called it a great rune
I beat him first time with the full mourne set and moghs spear which is another good option I just got antspure and I’m gonna try it on ng+3 it looks really good and has more bleed build up. Ill probably still have moghs spear in my second slot tho since the reach on this is very small
Mohg's spear is nuts in general -- I still haven't done a full playthrough of it yet but I want to do it sometime soon. I forgot how good the range is on that thing
thanks for the video!!
No worries!! I hope it helped x)
Best build to defeat consort radahn...straight to the point and so easy to play...other youtubers talking too much about other build and making it complex..hats off
I'm just happy that it worked out well, that's all that matters. Congrats on your win!
Level 161 Ng did it with your build bro thx!!! just let a little stamina until it regens so radahn cant break your block and you good to go
I'm really happy to hear you got him. Congratulations! :D
Another way is to no skill the shield and use bloodhound step on a the thrusting sword. I used the epee before I got the sword lance in dlc.
Its also good to precast faith damage negation incanation.
That's another very good strategy -- I've been trying to put Poison Mist to see how it works, but haven't had a lot of success with it yet (I feel as though there's not enough of a time window to get that AoW off without getting hit)
But yeah, crazy how we are going back to BHS as well. I miss how good it was on release
I did this but read the same loadout on reddit I guess they watched the video only difference was the golden hair talisman and crucible set for holy resist.
Oh those are both excellent Talisman Choices. I probably should get them both to be honest x)
use the rotten wing insignia instead of the dragoncrest great shield for more damage. You don’t need that added protection since you don’t plan on getting hit.
You're absolutely right -- I remember when I was doing this, I just had a couple of test runs with the build without worrying much about the talismans and such -- but yeah, there's way better options than what I was using there xD
Thank you man, you're a fucking legend! You just saved me, thank you
Glad to hear that, congrats on your victory dude!
how do you enchant items and how did you get that enchantment
I meant to say affinity -- you need the Black Whetblade from the base game (it's in the Night's Sacred Ground, you get it during Ranni's quest I think)
was stuck for 2 days😢. used this and beat him second try thanks mr funyun
No need to thank anything, I am genuinely happy that it worked out for you. Congrats!
bloody hell. this is the only thing that worked and first try! I respected 5x. tried multiple builds. tried killing him as a sorcerer for like 100x.
ps: ofc wearing the Radahn armour
Honestly man I am shocked at how hard the dlc is with any sort of magic build, be it fth or int.
So many gap closers for every boss, it feels almost impossible getting off any spell with a somewhat lengthy animation
Congrats on your win tho!
Thank You very much!
No need to thank anything, I just hope this means the strategy worked out nicely! Congrats on your win x)
With this build I just beates him, thanks!
No need to thank anything, congrats on your victory! A well earned one at that
Finally beat him thank you
Congrats on your win dude!
This build saved me. Finally defeated him. Now I'm helping others with this mf.
I'm really happy to hear that man, congrats on your win!
Greatshield cheese gang rise up. I got him first try with these. And I liked all the other bosses in this DLC! I just wanted him out of my system. Now onto other builds and characters.
Hell yeah dude, I feel the same way. I enjoyed the Phase 1 of this fight but Phase 2 was something else. Wish it got nerfed at least a bit to be honest. He was the first boss that made me switch to a Greatshield to learn how to do him x)
@@fermyondsYeah it’s just not fun, Messmer was sort of pushing that line a bit imo (he really wasn’t so bad after learning a few of hit attacks tbh) but this boss goes over that line. Going to use a Larval Tear just for this build and will be well worth it lol.
I’m going to spec into the Lord variant of his swords and make a holy build with the Sword of Light/Darkness & multilayered ring of light. I left a good amount of the dlc left to be gone through so I can use this seemingly dope Holy build during it!
Thank you bro!!!! Shi worked 2nd try on him.
No need to thank anything, I'm happy it worked, cheers and congrats!
I will try this build in the next fight. I am in NG+ 2 and got him with Blasphemous Blade and Mimic.
Congrats tho! :)
Congrats yourself dude! I'm happy to see Blasphemous is still good even after the nerfs.
@@fermyonds Thanks! :D
I never thought that it was nerfed. It felt the same for me. 🤔
It's the best weapon for me in the game.
Do you know if verdigris great shield would work just as good, or will I need fingerprint? I would find out myself but I don’t want to waist an ancient somber stone
I've seen some people using the Verdigris. I'll admit I never tried it myself although I only hear good things about it -- the only bad thing is that you can't use an AoW on it, but besides that it shouldn't be a problem at all
@@fermyonds i actually just decided to give it a try anyway and I beat him. That’s for the response.
“Life found a way”
And then things returned to balance, once Miquella was dealt with 😎
ty i cheesed every thing with this
No worries and congrats on your win. Am happy for you x)
Whenever I use the fingerprint shield for some reason I still take damage (although minimal) when blocking ? Are you using a specific great rune or spells etc to make it so that you aren’t losing any of your health?
Are you taking this damage in Phase 1 as well, from the regular attacks? The holy beams / magic attacks will always deal some chip damage although the normal sword attacks shouldn't do so --
The only thing I can think of is that you've put an ash of war and gave the shield a different affinity. Usually that changes the physical reduction and ends up lowering it
Damn u saved me from insanity bro. ❤
I'm really happy to hear that. Congrats on your victort!
Beat him after over 20 tries you the goat bro 🔥🤝🏽🫡 but who are the rest of the other boses missing 4
Congrats man and thanks for your nice words! Anyway to be honest I recently discovered I missed a few bosses too x)
Couldn't find the undead horse guy from the trailer and the old man pulling the sword out. There's also apparentlt a sunflower boss and another boss that has 3 phases -- I'll try to look and see if I can find them today
@@fermyonds the mage in the blood Bourne room with the women who has the sword of night, boss is crazy too. They gave these bosses nuclear bombs 😂😂💀💀
Cheers for the build, beat him second attempt 😊
That's what I like to hear. Congrats dude!
