  • This is my 6th Fazer, just like the NC750x they are practical fun and a bike that does the job what ever you through at it.
    To many people saying we need new bikes there better than the old bikes.
    NOT IN MY OPINION

    I’ve had an S1 and an S2 as well as a Boxeye and Fox eye FZS 600. I always thought the S2 was the best of the them all and regret selling it now.

    I got my bike a month ago and it's really fun. Could get myself into a lot of trouble 😅 I have just as much on this as I did on the FZR 1000 back in the day. For me being 110Kg plus gear the suspension is lacking when I start getting into it. But it's not difficult to fix and there are numerous ways to do it without selling a kidney. I find the throttle a bit aggressive on the low end, but I hear it's a thing with these early injection bikes. Oh yeah, it's a 2006 s1 with 28k km on it, payed 2.6k pounds.
    Enjoy your ride! 👌

    Mid 2000's bikes are the sweet spot still riding my 2006 aprilia tuono 1000R i think it's the bee's knee's no intention of swapping it. love seeing older bikes kept nice and running more interesting seeing a 90's super bike than generic adv tourers all over the place.

    Bought FZ6N S2 as my first bike. Super nice. Did my first oil change, changed seals+fork oil. It has quite a lot of power! So i am quite careful with it. The acceleration is quite strong, usually i ride around 3k-6k rpm, I definetly feel that it wants more rpm...

    • @birchwoodbiker
      @birchwoodbiker  Před měsícem +1

      Fantastic bike the power increases as you move over 7k, as everyone says they are a R6 engine, but they been given more mid range power, I'm still undesided if I'll sell mine, great all rounder, ride safe BB👍

Couldn't help noticing the inner child coming out. Could tell you were having fun. Just shows you don't have to spend 20grand to have fun. Ride safe mate 🙈🙊😁

    I think most 'bikers' have room in their heart for a 'golden-oldie'. Mine is a 1991 Kawasaki Voyager xii. It's only got 13,000 on the clock and still rides like new....I also run a ZZr1400 which I love, but my NC is my go-to machine for 90% of my trips...

    Morning Paul. I have been looking at these older bikes, especially the Fazer’s. There are some cracking, low mileage, well maintained examples about, for not a lot of money. When I had my Hornet 600, the MK1 Fazers were about, and I did ride my mate’s. When pushing along, I thought the front end was slightly vague when compared to the Hornet, but that might be due to a number of factors, so wouldn’t put me off. Nice ride, thanks for sharing.

    • @birchwoodbiker
      @birchwoodbiker  Před 3 měsíci

      It's funny Ive had 3 600 Hornets my last one was the last of the inline 4, the Mk1 Fazer had a weaker suspension back and front, I think 39mm forks MCN will have the stats, but I prefered the carbs, BUT the cb600fa is a better bike hands down, i've just put the old video public it had the cbrr dash, I've never seen one like since👍👍👍

    I had a 2003 model back in around 2004 but I had to get rid of it due to it had a cutting out problem where the power would randomly just cut out, then cut back in violently. This would happen most often when going around roundabouts after a good thrash out, and was really dangerous and made me not trust the bike.
    Otherwise it's a great bike and handles really well, is fast and comfy too.
    I remember taking it back to Alf England's bike shop and telling them about the fault after a few weeks, but they couldn't replicate the it, so I traded it in for a Thundercat instead.
    Around a month after that, Yamaha did a recall for the fault which my bike had and I was exonerated.
