Awesome review!!!
Thanks Chris 👊
Beautiful knife!!
This one I like, a lot. It's still a bushcraft knife, but it's long enough to serve as a primary belt knife as well.
The two of you make a good team. I like your guys' reviews, and I like the joking around too!
This is a neat looking knife, I just ordered the Gen 3 and eager to get it and do my own video
FINALLY!!!! I have finally found my perfect hunting knife!!! Gotta have it. Wrapping the handle with that stuff is awesomely beneficial. Love y’alls style of videos.
An ideal one tool option.
Wow talk about throwin sparks. Awsome job n vid guys
Digging the new intro music lately!
Good video. I just subscribed. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
I would love one of these.
The intro song is amazing !
Styling and profiling! Wooooooo!
Best intro music ever!
awesome knife for making Lincoln Logs.........
Very nice knife!
I hold my Next Gen from LT in my hand and love it. Then I pick up my Genesis. Then my Gen 5. And, as I have no Gen 6, I just have to hold my Gen 3 in convexed O1 and try to be content.
Oh nice! I was just about to buy a SOSPES but I think I like this better👍🏻 😂 Just playing. I have a regular Genesis so not sure it would make sense to get this
Would like it better with double the grind height amd change from a scandi to a zero grind convex but im a weird as. Its a great great blade none the less
"I myself" believe Will must be planning on opening a lot of ammo cans while crafting his bushes....LOL.
question:
what is the brand of shirt you are wearing (chris), looks comfortable and the color is neutral. looks warm too.
Yep, the gen 6 or Sopes in 3v for the WIN!
Very nice
Ok what/where is that ferro rod? I bought a Nathan4071 rod and it's no better than a Schrade one (poke poke) lol I tried different scrapers and still not that great. Thanks for the video.
I was on the edge to buy a gen6 but opted for a bark river kephart 5" instead . i choose cpm 4v over a2 and convex edge over scandi in blades over 5 inch . the bark river is more close to 5,5 inch in lenght actually . realy like the gen6 too .
waldorf statler I'd like to get one of those myself.
waldorf statler same here!
Beautiful hardware. Love the song
Love this big knife. You guys are funny. Lol
How do I get one of those Ferro rods Mr Tanner?
I want to see that Scandinavian grind on the ltwright genesis 3
Disagree on the bigger is better for knives but love your stuff and respect what you have to say
PREPAREDMIND101 Chris, I purchased some Wilson "overgrip" (the non-cushioned kind) for one of my knives. It doesn't appear to be self-adhesive. What do you recommend to attach it to the knife? I don't think electrical tape would hold very well under most conditions and I don't want to use the tape that came with it with the Wilson logo. Did I even get the right kind?
There's a tapered end that should be adhesive. If not, cut a taper and then a TINY bit of loctite gel super glue
PREPAREDMIND101 Fantastic! Thanks. I noticed the tapered end but didn't peel back the plastic backing on that end to notice it was adhesive. The other end wasn't. I assumed it was the same.
Does being 6 inches push this knife into the “survival” category? Or is it too thin? Thoughts and/or opinions please.
Good job on broadening the horizon. Lol 😁
Ah, now you know what it’s like living in Oregon this time of the year.
Do you think that if I like the sheath I will also like black panther? Great review I love when you guys do reviews together
Possibly
6 inch Sospes in 3V, I'd love
Thumbs up!!!!!!!!!
Clark and Virginia
Hohohoho.!😂😂 that had me dead!
Awesome knife and both of you and your channels are awesome
I seen on Larry's FB page he want's to make another knife but with Ball Bearing steel
thats what she said
I'd love to see more convex grinds on LT'S knives. I know he has a few you can get with convex grinds but there really isn't alot. Bark River kinda ruined me on that!
True. Convex grind is far better than flat. Even scandi should have convex edge.
That's a great knife ! I just ignore those guys and do what works for me ;)
any idea of when L.T. is gonna make this in 4v?......I couldn't help myself
That knife would go amazingly with my L.T. Wright Outback!
Batoning is for Real Men who Enjoy a Tough Stout knife that can do Bushcraft/Camp /Survival stuff with ease .... opinions , opinions , opinions. .. Every Ones got one and Everyone is right for themselves....I think those 30 + year expert Bushcrafters just enjoy pushing there opinions... why not just Live and Let Live and stop with the world wide Negative of Live and Let Die.... again love the videos chris and keep Batoning that wood - ill do the same!!!
Joshua Genovese, I couldn't agree more. I've said the same thing over and over again...
Believe it or not I use a Mora companion for small to medium size batoning. Something about that grind and ultra smooth blade just makes it coast through every wood I've ever used it on. Of course for larger applications I have a J. Neilson Custom Chopper I paid almost 2k for that annihilates anything in its path.
If I want big and bad it’s the Sospes baby! Great vid though man!!!!
Really nice video.
What is the name of Wills Channel if anybody can let me know please
Sonny Zickefoose ,Mantis outdoors? he's got his own L.T.W. knife for Pete's sake
Thank you
Clint Ragland who is Pete?
Sucks they don't make this knife anymore 😕
My 6 ye old likes your music. That should tell ya something! Lol
That your 6 year old may be the Anti-Christ? Yikes.... Jk
A2 is kinda hard to sharpen , 01 is the best. Good review !
Kirk Veesaert in 5 mintues, I can get it razor sharp with a 22$ Worksharp field sharpener
Psychosocial! Nice! 👍🏻
Again I absolutely love the intro music I even go back And play It second time Usually, Nice comaraderie And banter between you two And I also don't even mind that you wrap the handle with Wilson Tape or athletic tape I just wish you would do it after I got a chance to see it in action with out the tape on or at least a profile and some function without the tape on but Hey your channel do what you want I'll still come back for the intro music
Slipknot 🤘👍 intro
Seriously right? I Used to always dread his intro now I look forward to it
I didn't mind the war trumpets & drums into to bad tho
As a person who has worked with and welded steel for over 20 years, I knew ole Will was gonna get ripped for that CV comment. I didn’t want to be that guy though. I’m getting a kick out of the on video ribbing though. Let’s keep that up for awhile, shall we.
I want a Sospese…
Will would u rather carry this as your main knife,Sospes, or the Scout?
ALL YOU NEED IS A GOOD MADE BOWIE KNIFE NOTHING ELSE WILL COMPARE!!! I HAVE A 30 DOLLER UNCLE HENRY BOWIE I USE IT FOR EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY FINE!!!😁😁😁
Bruh this 3v man lemme tell ya
8:36 - 9:01 10 x Very : New record!
Very astute of you.
What? No chop test?
I wouldn't chop with that.
Awesome knife, but waaaay out of my price range.
love to saltier chris xD
Did you say its available in 3V?
No
Why are you splitting birch. Why don't you get something with some knots in it or some sweet gum?
It’s way too big for bushcraft..
Damnittt I was gonna like this vid but nope I'm not going to be the 6 hundred and sixty sixth person to like it lmao call me superstitious but great video/great knife I just ain't doing it
what happened to your spiritual channel ???
“Cambriun Layer”.....if Will is going to use big fancy words he might want to actually know what they are. Its cambium. No R or N.
Nice knife review though 😀
Cut him some slack. He does that with a bunch of words. He says "Ideal" instead of "Idea"... Drives me nuts.
PREPAREDMIND101 .....gotcha. Now that you say that, I guess I have noticed that. Im probably just too OCD and anal 😂
The car Elon Musk sent into space was made from 3V..
200 + dollars seems like a lot of money
to make pointed sticks and wood shavings, open a pack of hot dogs etc
So buy a cheaper one. Nobody has a gun to your head.
Ok, all these knife reviews are ok, but I cannot afford a 200-300 dollar knives, how about getting back to budget knives and other budget equipment that most people can afford. The most I have ever paid for a knife was 80 dollars, I also have a 10 dollar knife that will match most of the 200+ dollar knife. When are you going to do the SHED build?
You said everyone should baton, are you trying to start an internet war?
Hope so.
Six Inch Blade, eh? Why do I have Salty Comments from Tac going through my mind? Anyway, looks like a great Knife, and as usual, someone is going to Bitch about the price. Along with Batoning. Oh well, Haters gotta Hate. But something just hit me. With the "WTF?" Weather we have in Ohio, those of us who live here have the Opportunity to do almost every kind of Training and Camping and Bushcraft and "Survivalism" in every Crappy Weather Condition you can think of. Because we HAVE to. Think about what Wingman, Junkyard Fox, Gabe in Hawaii, Bryan down in Georgia, live in. How would they handle a Year in Buckeyeland? Food for thought. Yeah Ohio.
I'd prefer just having good filming weather. Not trying to be Surviorman, I'm trying to review stuff. Most people don't go out in shit weather.
PREPAREDMIND101 Yeah, beginning to wonder how many people go out at all outside of Car Camping and hiking the Safe Trails like the AT. Oh well, long as they keep buying knives...
I spent the first 45 years of my life never batoning. A few thousand trail miles and always carried my old lightweight Estwing hatchet in my pack. The knife was for feather sticks and making very small kindling that way. Then, suddenly the custom and production knife world began promoting larger knives and batoning became a bushcraft sport. It works, it's fun, who knew? So, for the last 15 years it's part of my campfire routine. That said Chris, I have to laugh at the number of videos in which you complain about all the anti-batoners out there. By the same token, I have to laugh at a lot of other CZcamsrs out there who have to baton all knife-review knives including very small knives that are definitely not meant to be used that way. At least you keep it real with larger blades mostly.
Like any other hobby everyone has a preference and you'll always get a few in there that think their way is right and any other way is just wrong. I dont mind friendly debates but some people get down right nasty with their comments about it
Exactly! I started only batoning with 8-10 inch blades and now 5 years later I practice batoning with Jessmuk C and LT Wright GP medium. Emergencies only.
SLIPKNOT 🤘😈🤘
Chris.....what showed up in the black lights....you should know that if you have a porn addiction we're here for you 😂😂😂😂😂😂 anyway awesome blade
Too large for a Bushcraft knife, IMO.
thats what she said
