- Dark Souls Remastered on PS5 - Dragon Slayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough Boss Fight (No Hits Taken / Melee Only) / Ornstein & Smough No Damage Boss Fight / Soul of Smough (Ornstein Defeated First). Just a quick video showing the Ornstein & Smough boss in Dark Souls, taking no damage while playing a melee only build with no blocking, on the remastered version being played on PlayStation 5 at 60 fps. Details below.
One of the most infamous bosses from Dark Souls 1, and another I was a little worried about at first. The biggest thing that will get you hit here is being impatient, so as long as you take your time and bait the charge attack from Ornstein, you won't have too bad of a time. Tomorrow I'll post the other version of this from my NG+ playthrough and defeating Smough first.
Continuing on from Demon's Souls to part 2 of the 6 part series, playing through Dark Souls Remastered and doing all off the bosses with no hits and melee only. I'll be doing the same for Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne and Sekiro after this, including all of the DLC bosses.
It's not the most difficult challenge, and people have done these full games without taking a hit. I just wanted to experience all of the bosses again by From Software and do them in my own way. I don't have the time required to invest in full game no hits and make videos for those, so I just wanted to set my own benchmark and have a catalogue on the channel of all of the individual bosses without taking damage with melee only, at the very least.
I may mess around with SL1 runs after completing all of the games if I feel like playing them even more. But most of those end up just being stupidly overpowered for SL1 and two hitting the bosses anyway. I'll see how I feel once these are all gone through.
Dark Souls Remastered on PS5? While there wasn't a remake or remaster that was made specifically for the PlaySation 5, all of the games are given a performance upgrade when being played on PS5. Namely, allowing them to run at 60fps instead of the 30fps on PS4. I think the exception is Bloodborne, but the rest all run better compared to their PS4 counterpart. Perhaps a patch for Bloodborne will come at a later date.

Yeah cause for some reason despite Smough being bigger and having the heavier armor, he has WAY less defense making him a joke compared to Ornstein
The art of playing without lock-on. Only a few can master it.
Bro it's way easier in this game to play without locking on , if you notice all of these dark souls pros play ds1 with rarely ever locking . The reason is simple , this games combat is really outdated you can't run to sides when locked on you can't run backwards you have to walk and also not even mentioning how horrid ornstein hitbox is , if you lock on to ornstein and he hops away you cannot run at him to the side because the game doesn't let you.
This fight is easier without lock

@@cherubin7thexactly, it just makes me feel old lol. Ps3 era onward usually had some of the tightest controls that modern games still use. If anything, it's ps2 and below that has the jank. I've never needed to adapt myself to a ps3 era game because of it's control layouts.

I have the ring of favor and protection on here, you only get that right before this boss with the invasion i believe. Didn't know grass crest was a thing until after my playthrough, and I just like the feel of the uchigatana

had to fight this boss with no summon because i was cursed and i didn’t reverse it 💀 and i couldn’t reverse the hollowing. took me like 14 tries
on top of that i couldn’t kindle the bonfire so i was fighting the boss with 5 estus, i only used 2 estus when i beat him tho

it’s great. lol a classic, especially for a first timer like myself. i find it so intriguing, you just never know what your going to run into, especially behind the white fog walls, is it going to be boss? or just another area? lol
Beat it for my first time earlier this year, the remastered version specifically. There's some jank here and there, but I had fun the majority of the 70 hours it took me my first playthrough.

It's funny this "no hit" boss battle. Like, in order to defeat many of these soulsborne/sekiro bosses you pretty much cannot get one single hit anyway rs

I’m watching this after beating Elden ring.. this fight looks easy as hell
Struggling with this, and I think I understand why I hate dark souls after beating sekiro 100%. This feels so cheap. Run-roll-run-roll-run-roll-sometimes hit. Zero fun. Combat doesn’t fill like a combat, parrying in the game is a joke, there are also builds that are considered meta for each boss by devs, and if you play otherwise you are screwed.

dude...you need to do full game no hit runs. then I'll be impressed. some people have done DS 1,2, and 3 all back to back without taking a single hit...
Read the description. I'm not interested in doing full game no hit runs as it requires massive time invement I don't have. On top of that, those sort of runs only benefit streamers as content, as the enjoyment comes from.the journey itself and not the final product. I just post videos. These are just for my own fun and experience while making them slightly more challenging to no hit. Not trying to be the best or do some crazy sort of challenge
Those people you're talking about are mainly hardcore souls players that have spent many hours perfecting every aspect of the game
