I was there....the old Glamis store....hand pump 10 gallons of gas...gravity would do the rest...many very fun weekends when the real Competition Hill existed. At night it was real colorful with the rotating lights on many buggies. Lots of raw horsepower.
My GREAT Uncle still has his corvair Tunnel Rail. He still takes to buttercup, we call it a wheel stand. I am 26 and have been going to Imperial since the Womb. i Genuinely appreciate your video, Thanks
This is great! Pure, no rangers, wheelies on the highway. Looks like freedom! Im going this weekend, and I am so stressed out about the Ranger/ Sheriff's. They are out for blood.
Crazy because I was born in 78 and remember the old school buggies and balloon tire 3 wheelers. I never got the chance to ride down the old interstate 8 but parts of it are still there and I'm glad I didn't. This was hardcore duning. Now if you have a deep wallet you can go show off.
Look how much smoother the dunes looked back then. All these stupid 3,000 lb long travel buggys are messing up the dunes making deep trenches with their huge machines. And look how much simpler and happier people were back then.....GO HOME TRENDYS!!!!
Cool. No 5 points, no A pillars, no long travel. NO RUTS! Just fun. Hope you don't mind but I shared the video on GlamisDunes . com. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us.
Great Video, Ive got some old 8mm vids of my dad and his friends playing in the dunes WAY back when,,do you know what year(s) this footage was taken? Thanks! Mike

+Cindy Cordova I'll have to try to find the discs that Jeff gave me. I tried to burn that one out several times and It kept doing the same thing. When I find it I'll give it a go again, Regards, Perk

Back when people could have fun with their family, a camper shell and a $1200 buggy. Reminds me of back when I was a kid at the dunes. Great times.

Jeff Roger's from San Diego
?
Jefferyaal,
I don't see why not as long as it's non commercial or non profit.

Great video & beautiful time
WISH I CAN HEAR THE REAL VOICE NOT THE MUSIC :)
It's called 8mm... 🤦♂️
8mm doesn't record audio
Now you can tell the other thousands of dummies on CZcams that make this same comment.
Hi, can I use clips of this for a Glamis video? Thanks in advance for your consideration.

The sad part is those are probably all oval windows, that they cut up to make tunnel buggies out of... 🤷♂️
