    I don't see how this can work at all. The plastic spring isn't applying force except down the length of the blue plastic arm and then that's static or potential energy. At most, it's balancing out the weight of the blue arm so the whole thing can spin more or less balanced. you don't let it run very long so it's impossible to see if it slows down or not.I'd like to see a lot more explanation of how this works!

    What if one device powered another limited propetual device that powered another, creating a loop that continuously powers the initial device ? Of course, it would need an external kickstart at first 🤔. Then, add something that continuously rotates a coil that generates energy. Repeat the process to bigger and bigger connected motions, which generates more energy as a machine. It may not be propetual motion, but it would make my light bills cheaper 😅 that would be a crazy video.

    This device cannot function at all.
    That's not exactly how springs work.
    That is, because the end and starting points of the blue rotor are connected by the same axis, the spring cannot continuously transmit rotational force to the fuselage.

    spring start point and end points are tied the hidden energy in that. this shall never produce /generate an energy for spring to rotate sir.

  • @sethbettwieser
    @sethbettwieser Před 2 lety +1

    This one's pretty simple to disprove.
    Proof by physics:
    The reason this doesn't work is because--while the spring is wound up--it is unable to act on the bar usefully due to being fixed to it at both ends. Therefore, it remains in a stressed state, but at a resting equilibrium.
    However, even if it was only fixed at one end, by making the bar to rotate freely from the axel to allow the spring to act on the bar, it would quickly reach an equilibrium of minimum stress by unwinding itself, bringing it once again to a stop.
    Proof by contradiction:
    If either of these worked in real-life, it would work just as well without being vertical, or having anything to spin on; for example, it would spin on the floor. We would see that if we tried to hold it, it would exert a torque on our hand.
    So, if we replace the bar with a human, we could wind the spring with our hands, hold each end, and observe a sudden spinning of our body; the direction of which would depend on the direction the spring was wound in. Also, mechanical watches would become death machines, filled with wound springs as they are.
    Alas, whomever came up with this perpetual motion machine has no experience with winding springs, and so couldn't see why this would not work.
