I’ve got one, love it, had it for two years, bought another battery. That makes a lot of difference if you are doing a lot of trimming. One thing I will tell you. Certain things aren’t covered under the 3 or 5 year warranty, I just paid 47.00 for a new head. It was warranted for 90 days. But it was still worth it. They said it was considered a wearable part.

EGO are excellent products. I have their push mower and a pole saw of theirs. Both the mower and the pole saw in my opinion dominate every other electric brand in those two fields. I have mowed some THICK WET GRASS with that self propelled model push mower and the motor revs up and never seems to box down unless you are purposely trying to make it bog down. Battery life is also excellent. The pole saw is incredibly strong. Cuts like my Farm boss gas stihl

I just bought this the other day at Lowe’s it’s a beast!!!! it will most certainly take care of the business!!!!!! I charged the battery that my unit came with and used One of my ego 56 V snowblower batteries until the trimmer battery was fully charged,,, The snowblower battery fits it’s 56 V and extremely heavy you won’t want to swing that around all day it will wear you out however I managed to cut a lot of weeds with it while I was charging the other one this has a little quirkiness to it if you learn how to do everything and get used to it it’s cool,,,I would highly recommend it👍

I have to say something important (really). I think it is great that this demo hit the nail right on the head when it was mentioned how great that wind up string is with that wonderful button:) :).
I have another weed wacker (Greenworks 80 Volt Battery) that just about drove me insane trying to restring it. Every 10 minutes or so I had to go back in the garage and do the nightmare again, again n again etc :(

I have had this trimmer for two weeks. I maintain a 2 acre yard and a 4 acre yard. It's a heavy tool, buy the shoulder strap! It's not a light tool.
When compared to a gas trimmer, it's crazy quiet.
It does not clog up. I used it around my pond, 3 foot tall grass and cat tails. I did not have to stop and unwind dead grass.
It's stupid powerful... Cat tails like butter.. The 0.95 string does not easily break apart. I've had to recharge the battery twice and I'm still on the string that the unit came with. Buy the shoulder strap.... This video doesn't do the power of this thing any justice. This will clear a field with no problem.

I bought one, its powerful enough to peel the paint off a barn! But the battery only lasts about 20 minutes. I took it back and the store swapped batteries for me, still I am only getting about 20 minutes life out of this second battery. Luckily they only take about 45min to charge. But I am disappointed, my black and decked 20v lasted almost twice as long. I would have bought another black and decker one if I could find the 2speed one again, I have been to several stores and they are not to be found.

I already had the blower, which I love. So, when my trusty 20+year old Weedeater finally wouldn't start this past weekend after sitting all Winter I knew what I had to do: Go get an EGO that I knew would be able to share the same battery and charger. The one I bought (at Lowe's) was $199.99, though there was another 15" trimmer at $249.99. But this one suited me just fine. It does have a high and low setting, but the trigger is a little different than yours. I'll probably buy another EGO product in the future, because they are built well, and perform well, and the batteries are interchangable.

Turn the weed eater sideways and just walk along. The guard will drag along the concrete and keep your cut in a straight line. Ridiculous to explain, but once you try it out, you'll see what I mean.

I have the cordless Ego Blower. Love it! My Husband has the Gas Toro Edger & Trimmer. Being a woman there is something about the gas items. That is why I got the Cordless Ego Blower first. Now I am interested in the Cordless Ego Edger/ Weedeater. That is nice you did the Weedeater. What about the Ego Edger? If I can do all of this without asking my Husband to do this I will have it made. I have a Gravely ZT Mower which I love to do all my Lawns! Thank you for sharing this!!

Hype? I bought this trimmer, came with 2.5 ah battery. Lucky to get 15 minutes run time. 5 ah battery $ 249.99. Sorry EGO that is a deal breaker, that would be approx. a $449.99 investment. It is powerful, but is not much use on a big property. Went back to a noisy smelly Stihl.

the only downside about these products, is the battery replacement costs. for that reason i reckon the MAKITA equivalents of these OPE tools are a better option because if a EGO battery fails you have to replace an entire 56v battery where as if the makita fails you have to only replace an 18v battery. fyi makita also has the backpack battery pack that takes 4 x 18v batteries, a mower that takes 4 batteries, blower and multi head line trimmer, hedge trimmer and pole saw which takes 2 batteries. the backpack works with all tools except the mower, plus the attachments work with there 4 stroke petrol multi head tool. if your a new consumer you should consider the makita option too.

I bought one a week ago, not the carbon fiber but the aluminum, it has a high and low option, 2.5 A, 56 V battery, and the battery only lasts 15 minutes. Is that normal or should I take it back?? Love the power. I’m clearing my 2 acres that I just got that hasn’t been cut in over a year. But the battery takes longer to charge than it lasts.

Great review I know you have down reviews on the 20v dewalt weedeater. Have you done review on the 60v dewalt weedeater? If you have how does it compare to this one? I have had the 20v and the 60v dewalt but I have never tried this one. Thanks and have great day
