Those saying it doesnt sound like an X. An X303 is the same cam as a B303, it just has more lift. Thats it. Same duration, same LSA. It will idle the same as a B cam.
Guys I don’t want to sound like one of these “um actually “ guys, but the best engine builder can’t just listen and say it’s this without engine specs.,etc. Many things can change an “idle,sound,etc”. Lobe separation angle, compression being a HUGE variable! A lesser experienced person for instance mite say this can’t be such and such cause this had that or whatever. You can run the same cam as the next guy( he has 8.9:1 & you have 12.5:1,don’t try pump gas), yours will sound nasty and there’s not so much. If that’s all you’re going for is sound over performance. I can’t believe people are still debating this with the technology we have! You can do whatever you want if you plan correctly. Anyway,have fun that’s what it’s all about.

Your not entirely wrong, but if you pull up every X303 cam vid on youtube you will begin to notice some similarities that are caused by the cam.
Any person running chambered mufflers chose sound over performance.
