Hi, 245 HP at the wheel? What do you mean with stage 2 gear?

    • @TL1000S97
      @TL1000S97 Před rokem +1

@@mrbandt 245 HP at the wheel yes.
Stage 2 gear is a 9% increase of the gearing of the supercharger (both sprockets changed). The tune takes about 10minutes as the flash process is sloooow. Regardless of using a "Handheld" (MyGenius from Dimsport branded by Bren Tuning/SLR Tuning and others), or Woolich. The process to flash is via the diagnostic connector and (for "Handheld") via an OBD2 adapter cable. Both Bren Tuning and SLR-tuning do upgrade the QS "maps" yes.

@@mrbandt I got the gears from where I bought the IC-kit, Extreme Creations.
The flash using "handheld" you do yourself.
Regardless of which tuner you buy the "handheld"(an OBD2 device) from. Bren Tuning/SLR-tuning have made a map from a "mule" (a customer doing the tune "on premise"). This is what you buy and flash the ECU on your bike.
Woolich is just another device ("LogBox") where you also can get/buy a tune from a tuner - for example Moore Mafia.
I do tuning myself with the LogBox.
How fast the bike will go? As I need my licence and don't want to go to jail, I will probably not test. 🤪I used to do this - test top speed on public roads - but will not do this anymore. Still.. a short acceleration test is "bad enough" if you don't "check your surroundings". Let's just conclude that a fast bike gets even faster after tune. 😊😊

I've got a 22 ZX-10R with only a graves catback ok it. Of course more power would be nice-- but I live in Alaska where there is no aftermarket performance shops, and maybe one place that I could get any dyno time.
Am I able to get a flash that would leave the fueling the same as it was from factory -- but remove the restrictions like top end/ high rpm throttle cut/ and quick shifter timing adjusted?
Like I said, I don't want to mess around with anything that would drastically affect AFR's, or having to install a piggyback-- I just want an unrestricted bike.

Makes a guy wonder from a fiscal perspective, just how much these superbikes ACTUALLY cost, after they are in "optimal running condition". It's such a racket. The R&D (cost) the manufacturer puts into the emissions equipment and programming to comply with a joke of an environmental agenda. Then, the cost tumbles down to the consumer who quickly disposes of said equipment and pays money to replace that equipment and more money to retune the ECU to restore original performance (performance before compliance). How much money is spent by aftermarket corporations to design efficient exhaust systems, electronics, and the R&D to reprogram? Entire corporations and businesses are built on the business of UNDOING the stuff the manufacturers spent money to comply with regulation.
The very definition of a corporation or business is someone doing something out of motive of making a profit. The corporation, the aftermarket, the tuners.... they are all doing what they do because it is profitable, or they wouldn't do it. All of the cost ultimately is carried to the consumer. The motorcyclist PAYS FOR ALL OF IT, including the bloated regulation agency that makes life expensive and complicated on both sides of the hand-off (motorcycle leaving manufacturer and entering dealers).
Seems the main problem in this whole system is the regulators. They exist on the premise of some kind of reasoning, which is mostly "we prevent the destruction of the earth". Since that reason is totally false, so is the existence of the regulators and all the ridiculous costs they burden the entire system with.

Regulations create pressure upon manufacturers that is forcing them to innovate. People want more power, regulators better fuel efficiency, lower emissions, low noise, etc. Manufacturers therefore have no choice but to push the envelope and keep bringing better products trying to satisfy both. While some users go ahead to "undo" restrictions and enjoy the true potential, wast majority don't. Whether this effort actually achieves anything on grand scheme of things, is questionable, but I'm certainly happy that options we have exist. It's undeniable that unrestricted current vehicles when compared to unrestricted vehicles from few decades ago, are far superior due to much better combustion event control. More power all while lower emissions and better fuel economy. None of this would exist if pressure to do better wasn't there. There is a positive to every negative, and vice versa of course.

@@czierwo "that is forcing them to innovate"
The problem with this reasoning appears, when you take the reasoning to the conclusion: more regulation = greater economics.
No, they have to innovate TO STAY IN BUSINESS. These same regulatory bodies would send society back to the Dark Ages if manufacturers didn't innovate in a way to get around regulations.
How about removing regulations and giving manufacturers the natural environment of COMPETITION to improve technology, efficiency, capability. Competition improves quality, lowers cost, improves the entire system of goods and services. Consumers are already operating on the basis of competitive choice, regardless of regulations, and so are manufacturers. Regulations (on a never-ending increasing scale) are the opposite of efficiency, most of them simply turn into Orwellian tyrants who function above any scope of the law, until someone with more power STOMPS on their heads.

@@exothermal.sprocket I'm not saying that it is good, or at least there is no concrete evidence that regulation in automotive industry actually saves anything. I just try looking at the positive side of things. Without regulation, market would eventually push manufacturers to do this or that, but for example is gas prices did not increase, fuel economy would never be anyone's concern. This would lead to horsepower battle, nothing else. Best example is the electrification push in the automotive industry. Tesla is churning out tons of garbage vehicles, everyone is happy thinking these actually save anything, but in my humble opinion it is very short sighted. Without the ability to recycle batteries, we will be in big trouble, sooner or later. Without regulation, no manufacturer will voluntarily invest in battery recycling if there is no potential for profit, so we cannot rely solely on market innovation to fix problems.

@@czierwo America could fix a heap of problems with less than 1% of the regulatory bodies it currently has, taxing the crap out of us.
It's really hard to calculate how much these superbikes actually cost. My original premise. Of course that could go into a discussion about the fiat currency and inflation (imbalance between GDP and printed paper fake money).
Yeah, CO2 emissions being the motive behind so-called earth-is-dying agenda (implied in the word "sustainable" vs. destruction) is total garbage non-science.
Truth is, these regulation bodies are so deeply embedded into the manufacturing sector and political system, and have been for so long, people's reasoning skills includes these regulators rather than reasoning outside the existence of these regulators.

I did a dynorun couple of weeks ago and adjusted the powercommandor on my 2010 zx10r. The bike got 5-6 more Hp and a lot of more Nm and the bike is now at 174hp on the rear wheel. Question is, how do you calculate that to engine HP. I've heard it's about 10-15% to add, but that information may not be accurate.
