I have number 3410 off the line. 2022 sel awd non turbo.
I have 22500 miles on it.
Iam a professional marine mechanic.
Check the air box that’s connected to the radiator for seam separation.
And the dual clutch transmission on turbos are having issues..

purchased an SEL a few weeks ago and did the same. When I first pulled the dipstick I thought it must be for the transmission because of the pink end I first thought was the fluid. thanks for posting, great advice. also purchased center console based on your previous video, should arrive today from Amazon. It was only $15, very surprising Hyundai doesn't include standard.

I took a new car in for it's first oil change (not to a dealer) and the oil was so low it didn't reach the dipstick. I took it up with the dealership and was assured they would make me whole if there was ever an issue. 95k miles later and all is well, but damn, that should never happen.

Good information, it is sad these days that you have to go behind dealerships, the factory and most other places you patronize, you would think that when you buy a new car you could drive it home and simply enjoy it, not check everything. BTW i have a limited and under the hood is built and constructed much better than the maverick that i canceled my order on.

Good advice Rob! When I took delivery of my new Tundra last year it would not start when I got it home, no electrical activity at all, totally dead. Long story short the negative battery cable was so loose I was able to take it off by hand. Tightened the clamp and no problems since.
Should all of the checks that you describe be done by the dealer as part of the PDI? As you note it only takes a few minutes.
They should absolutely be done by the dealer. But….you know how it goes😡
My 2022 Santa Cruz has an 8000 mile oil change interval. At 6500, it was a quart low. 0W-20.

i live in phoenix. have a santacruz 2023. in the summer it is 110 degrees in my garage. how would you treat the start up and shut down of the engine, with turbo? thank you
I wouldn’t do any different unless you’re racing it or traversing hills. One minute idle to cool if either of the two apply.
