Awesome video. While I was making it, I felt like it was one of the best in a very long time. It feels the same as many others but for some reason, I thought different. Edge was on a roll in the summer, he deserves to be mentioned more when talking about the best summers for a wrestler. He made the most out of his opportunity and in doing so, solidified his place at the top of the card. What did you think of his 2nd title reign?

What Edge did in the summer of 2006 made me depise him like when he slapped cenas father, did dispciable things, hump tommy dreamers wife, etc. Heels in this era lack that now. The only thing I feel heels do now is disrespect the states teams and just cheat to win, or jump someone and thats it.

But I really like MJF he is one of my favorites of the new era of Pro wrestling and he is the reason I am still watching AEW.
Beside from Randy Orton, Edge was WWE's notorious top villain throughout 2006. His swag and amazing mic skills made him an guy "you wanted to punch in the face" while his wars with Cena and DX was an must see. Edge is one of WWE's most notorious heels of all time

That TLC match was amazing, perhaps the best 1vs1 TLC match in history, perfect location in Toronto Canada, perfect crowd heat and everything.
Edge and Randy were the perfect heels. There was literally no person who didn’t hate them back in the day
He was the only heel around that time that was amazing on the mic & in the ring.
He made it possible to be despised by everyone while still actively putting on the best matches and segments of the year and carrying the company.
And his 07/08 run was even more legendary imo

Really just 76 days his longest reign I thought It’d be a little longer I guess he never really needed a title to be a top guy though

Watching 2006 era WWE on the WWE Network( R.I.P WWE Network in the U.S) and if I was a WWE fan during 2006 Edge would've honestly been a superstar who I hated with his character's actions but I would've loved to hate him

After hearing in a interview where Edge was talking bout how he wanted his character to be the opposite of John Cena, I thought that was interesting never thought about like that.
Edge and John Cena’s rivalry is like Batman vs The Joker or Spider Man vs Green Goblin, no matter how hard the hero tries to stop the villain, the latter always comes back to piss the hero off even further.

When I think of Edge I think of this run and his first run as world champion, hated Edge because he was an ass, but he was cool, always wanted to see La Familia vs Christian's Coalition
Edge and Christian were on top of the world in 2006 with Edge holding the WWE title while Christian had the NWA World title
The match at Backlash, the hotel room assault, the Long Island Sound Brawl, and the match at Unforgiven. Watching all these things on TV back in childhood made me appreciate Edge. I did not know why I liked him back then despite him being one of the bad guys. Maybe it was more than that. It could have been the fact that his feud with Cena was what led to my love for pro wrestling. In some archived PPVs aside from RAW that aired on TV, I'd always look forward to seeing Edge again. He's just one of those with the greatest in ring characters, and his decorated career has backed it up!
