    I'm a semi-retired stagehand. I've worked 3 WWE gigs 2016-2018. I usually would be put on the Video crew. Security was crazy. All the stagehands get searched everytime they come back in for going outside for break. The common unspoken rules I learned from some of my older gig brothers was don't do anything with your phone while on deck. If they suspect you of leaking pics or footage online, you're dismissed and blacklisted from working anymore WWE gigs. We were also told to not engage or talk to the 'Talent'. Unless they spoke to you first. When we were done with load in. About 20 of us stagehand were leaving the loading dock and a wall of fans were out there and they would go nuts and cheer for us. They didn't care that we were just stagehands. People still wanted to give me high 5's and fist bumps. It was awesome.

You have to respect what they do on a weekly basis. Awesome video! Never actually watched a WWE setup get put together (except through pictures) but a full video of everything is just neat!

    • @JonathanStrickland
      @JonathanStrickland Před 9 lety +8

      I think it's pretty interesting how the WWE has evolved over time, and I think I can guess what's going on - you had the kids of the 80s and early 90s who grew up watching the stuff become teenagers and young adults. The WWE morphed into the Attitude era, which appealed to people who were now too old for the more simple storytelling from the past. But then over time those folks started having kids of their own, and now those kids are getting into wrestling, so we've come to a bit of a circle. Sort of a middle ground between the cartoony stuff of the 80s and the more gritty stuff of the mid to late 90s.

I've been to Several Independent events, 5 WWE Raws, 4 SmackDowns, 10 WCW Nitros, 2 WCW House Shows, Several TNA House Shows, 1 TNA Pay Per View and 1 WWE Superstars tv taping in my area. But nothing beats WrestleMania weekend, there is a feeling that is indescribable when you come to that town to stay for a few days to a week and you get into the building with 79,000 other fans there and you feel that collective roar and the building feels like it's moving because of the energy in it.. And you see the awesome set up and you are looking forward to seeing the peak performances of the year right before your very eyes. It's very cool. It beats the World Series, Super Bowl, Stanley Cup, and the NBA Finals. It even tops Kiss concerts. WWE does do it right when it comes to large stadium shows.

      Ashton Smith If you watch any show or any movie, it's more than likely fake. Your point is?

    • @Hevybehemoth91
      @Hevybehemoth91 Před 9 lety +53

      It is all scripted and is fake to an extent. Everything is planned and communicated before and during the match, they know it's coming. However if a 16ft fall is in the works that fall still has to be taken by someone, even if it has a set landing area which might have some level of safety too it, (for example mats under thin wood or a weaker than normal table) there are still a lot of risks involved. The landings have to be right, the positioning. Even everyday moves have risks involved.
      Miss your cue, don't tuck in your head in at the right time, don't roll enough during a flip, stand in the wrong place etc you could be in serious trouble.
      To me it is never about the "fighting", it is a spectacle, It's a show. They're actors, they're in on all of it but there is still plenty of pain and risk there, they are their own stunt men.

    My grandmother recently saw a clip from survivor series and she was taken back by the full arena, I showed her a clip from wrestlemania 39 and she couldn't believe it, then I showed some footage from all in at Wembley and she thought it was crazy how popular wrestling is still, these aren't some small time shows, WWE and AEW put a lot of time into the production and putting on excellent shows, everyone from the stage crew to the ring crew should be proud of what they do 😀

    "What does it feel like to be a WWE Superstar?"
    If you don't feel like watching this 10 minute video to figure out the answer to that question, I can tell you exactly what it means to be a WWE Superstar in as little as 4 words...
    Losing to John Cena...

      NighTmareReborn X Calling somebody you don't know a joke over wrestling makes you seem that much more idiotic, but if you say so. Didn't know that a bunch of guys, half naked in a ring, pretending to hurt each other actually means that much to you to where even the smallest, harmless joke probably ever when it comes to pro wrestling actually hurt your feelings. Sorry. Did not know somebody could be so sensitive.

    • @1LGN
      @1LGN Před 9 lety +5

      JayLegacy100 Trust me, there's no need to know you when you've easily exploited the type of person you are in a matter of 5 seconds. You're an immature doofus who uses jokes to cover up your mistakes of a human being and then try to retaliate by making yourself seem intelligent when you knock the next person because they didn't agree with your adolescent choice of attracting attention. Grow up. I'm more than sure you're over the age of 18, act like it.
