It is very much important in Kerala's warm- humid climate
Cross ventilation, stack ventilation , courtyard effects are some of ventilation techniques used in Kerala type traditional houses.

There two types of mansoon effectively acting on Kerala lands, S- W mansoon and N-E mansoon .

Only from May half to August half(monsoon period) sunpath of kerala passes through north side and its max angle is only 80 degree, so we can protect the northern light by using sunshades . All other 9 months sunpath is through south side including the summer months and the max angle is 50 degree, so protecting southern light is more difficult. Please do proper research and try to correct the information conveyed because its watching thousands of people. Thank you

But ente veetilekku nalla kattu eppozhum northwestil ninnum westil ninnumaanu varunnathu, can you explain why? and yes ofcourse from northeast also in October and November. Only light breeze from southwest. Our plot is slanding towards west and our house orientation is also towards west. East side is covered by hills and west and south are valleys. Is that be the reason why its so?
