    Hey man,I like the field of view of the ev800's I am thinking on doing the external module mod and use a skyzone steadyview/a tbs fusion

    Funny, but EV800D still remain one of best budget box googles. And starting a car from 3-4S LiPo is just fine. However use 4+ 1300 mAh or larger capacity batteries in parallel.

    BetaFPV VR002 are surprisingly good as far as image quality and reception, 10x better than the Emax Transporters. No dvr or SMA connector, but those can be hacked in, and the best thing about them is how easy they are to use, just pull them out and turn them on and tune them in, make for great passenger goggles. Kind of a poor-man's version of the cheaper Cobras.

    Will the antennae on the 2nd headset (the 100 dollar one) be good enough to reach ~ 1000 feet in a semi open field? Aka some trees occasionally?

    You really shhould try the Sequre (SQ-D60 60W) for portable use. For me there is no better value for money product in this pricerange. It even uses the same type of soldering tips as the TS80 and the 100

    I dont like googles , are there any receivers ,that are usb and are ok? I want the video to be just displayed on my tablet ,or my Laptop...
    I have the rotg2 are these good enough , i dont have a drone yet, and i want to fly a bit more than 1km with 200mv or smh. I also think i will upgrade the stock antennas on the video receiver , to a circular polarized one.

    • @nathan1sixteen
      @nathan1sixteen Před 3 lety +1

      I definitely wouldn't recommend flying through a video link that's being shown on your laptop/tablet/phone, unless you're doing aerial photography or videography and aren't moving very quickly (Like a DJI Phantom or Magic or something like that). There is a significant amount of latency that is introduced when you start doing Analog to Digital/Serial conversion that is required to display the video on your tablet/laptop, and I'm not talking about 50-100ms, I'm talking about half a second plus latency, which is a great way to crash your aircraft before you even see the obstacle.
      If you want to fly on a screen, buy an Analog screen and hook a standard receiver up to that. It will prevent unnecessary latency from being introduced when you deal with video and data conversion

      @@DroneMesh they are more expensive though, the fatsharks and the eachine are very close pricewise and i cannot decide if the more premium quality of the fatsharks is worth losing 4:3 which the eachines have
