    GUYS IF YOU WANT A SOLID PREBUILD ITS NAZGUL 5 ALL THE WAY it puts together most of the parts listed from iflight and if your lucky then it's only $170
    Only downside is it has the old esc but it has worked perfect for me so far

    What about 20x20 f7 mamba stack for 5”? I will use caddx tarsier cam too, it is 2-high stack 20x20. if I keep 30x30 stack and above place a tarsier stack, will it fit into 30 mm high iflight source one v4? Or I have to use 20x20 mamba stack? Thank you

  • @Gosuminer
    @Gosuminer Před 3 lety +1

    Getting the Mamba DJI for analog and upgrading later to DJI? I don't think so because the DJI version does not seem to have an OSD chip. I really don't like how close the FETs are to the mounting holes on the IFlight ESC and in General Diatone seems to have better build quality than IFlight.

  • @DriftaholiC

    So you would take a Diatone F7 stack over the Holybro F7 + Metal ESC? Not worried about price.

    I don't want to start with a 5inch build, its just a bit too heavy and a bit too scary for my liking, 3inch is too small for a first build though. Dave C is developing a 4inch freestyle quad, similar to the CMW 4inch Shocker but lighter, I really want to get that so 20x20 and 25x25whoop boards are really what I'm looking for.

    And have a more refined Design

    • @neonoir__
      @neonoir__ Před 3 lety

      These are some of the cheapest parts worth having, that is the long and short of it. You can't really build a 5inch quadcopter without making major compromises for much less.

    • @noforyoutubepremium3108
      @noforyoutubepremium3108 Před 3 lety

      Yeah, "budget!" LOL 🤣
      First off, a lot of the reviewers almost have blinders on when it comes to anything but 5".
      5" quads are totally overrated! Please read my post in these comments.
      5" need a ton of space to fly, are really noisy, and get complaints from people who are also attempting to occupy the same area you are trying to fly at. They can be very intimidating to dog walkers or others using the area. The noise they make can attract people from a few blocks away! 😩 I don't know about you, but I don't like getting hassled for trying to have fun flying!
      So, there are very good options for as costly as one of the more expensive stacks he mentioned in this video, that are the same cost for the entire quad! Check out my post here... 😎🤘

  • @noforyoutubepremium3108

    These suggestions are all great, but what if a new person lives in a place like probably most of us do... in a city or the suburbs, where flying a 5" can be kind of challenging. It's hard to find a place to fly that isn't a big huge open field, like at a school, which is boring as hell to fly at. They get super old, really quick! Finding a big huge park with lots of great trees and structures to fly around and through, which isn't heavily populated with people picnicking or simply walking their dog, is kinda hard to do in a city or in the suburbs. New guys also need to know that 5" quads are QUITE LOUD. So loud that you will attract attention from a few blocks away from the park, if you can find one that isn't crowded with people. If you attempt to fly your 5" quad with lots of people around, you'll get complaints almost immediately! They're intimidating and very loud!
    Hence, I highly suggest you buy or build a Toothpick quad! They were essentially designed to do exactly what I'm talking about!... fly in a small park and make almost no noise, so not attracting a lot of attention! 👍
    Plus, IMO Toothpick quads are the most fun to fly because you don't need much space, can fly weave through pretty tightly packed trees or structures, all while not attracting any attention because they are so quiet that even dog walkers will walk right by you and not be worried one bit about you flying! Many times, they ask you questions and think they are really co0ol! And, they fly like they're on RAILS! Cornering and acceleration is top shelf, and like I mentioned, you can fly them almost anywhere! I fly at an incredible park 3 minutes from my house... in fact there are 3 awesome parks within 5 minutes of my house all of which are amazing to fly a Toothpick quad at! I wouldn't even attempt to fly a 5" at these parks. The closest 5" place to fly is 20-25 minutes from me, and it is not even close to as good of a place to fly at! The small parks close to me are an 8,9, and 10 out of 10 to fly at, and the 5" place way farther away is maybe at best a 5 out of 10!
    Also, please consider cost. That $90-ish stack is about the average of what I've paid for an entire Toothpick BNF (pre-built) quad! I've paid as low as $60 on sale for an awesome Toothpick. So, they are way, WAY cheaper too. And I'll bet you'll find Toothpicks equally as fun or, like I do, even more fun to fly than 5" ! Kinda nice too, to go 3 minutes from your house to fly anytime you want! So, IMO, 5" are completely and utterly overrated. Ny friends and I never even fly out 5" quads anymore. Too bug of a hassle. Don't forget nice 2-3"quads too, but Toothpicks are impossible to beat for convenience, silence, no hassle, and FUN! 😎🤘
