Nice review, I actually like the position of the 6 pos switch on this version and considered it before the new TBS radio was released, I think that might be a better option for someone like me who uses a crossfire module and doesn’t really used multi protocol.

Hey drone mesh! I love you! I have a huge issue I'm having lately with my solder. Why on earth will it not melt??!?!? I heated the pads on the esc and the solder wouldn't melt. But the pcb melted. Can you recommend a soldering iron and a solder? I'm having the worst luck

I have the radiomaster version of the tx16s anyways I totally like the multi protocol module that is built in also another plus is how they are allowing other companies to basically copy / modify the radio that’s a win win for everyone. Next I have how frsky and spectrum radio are so locked in aka once you make the mistake of buying one of those you are basically locked into that brands over priced equipment. Meanwhile these eachine and radiomaster tx16s have the capability of being able to talk to basically every brand even cheap of the shelf toy grade drones also long as they aren’t like IR controller lol

The major faults of the TX16s are that you (1) have to unlug the USB cord to power it on, or it won't power. This is a major problem if you use it to play simulators all the time like I do. Every time yout urn on the radio you have to unplug and plug back in the USB connector. (2) If you use umbrella style stick ends, the lower inside gimbal wells interfeere with stick travel to the lower right (left gimbal) and lower left (right gimbal) corners. (3) The gimbals are held inside against the front face by 4 screws, one on each corner. If you strip out any of these, like when installing lowering plates, you are PHUCKED. Three screws is not going to hold your gimbal in for long. They should of had at least six screws for some redundancy (4) The switches break off easy, so be extra careful not to bum the switches into anything. I broke one right off the bat by putting a pillow on top of my radio. Lesson learned. (5) The USB ports are not voltageprotected, so if you accidentally get 5vdc to one of the tx or rx or ground pads in your USB socket, you will fry out your main board. I know, I just did it. Remember #1, having to plug and unplug the USB cable over and over again every time you want to power on the radio to play a simulator. Yeah, that wear and tear adds up unnecessarily over time.
The stuff other people say are faults like the POTS being too lose or the sliders being too loose... in practice aren't any kind of issue. The 6p switch is in a hard to reach position, so it's good they moved it on the Eachine model, but there's probably a downside... it's going to be that much harder to get to and service inside the radio, and it's already pretty bad in the center as it is.
If you need Warranty Repair, Radiomaster will give you the run around and some static... which is kind of not cool imho.
pair of batteries to swap out on a charging station woulda solved your problems babe
