- Discover the rollercoaster career of Cody Garbrandt, aka Cody "No Love" Garbrandt, in this insightful video that delves into the psychology of the former UFC champion's rise and fall. Uncover the different motivations that drove Cody's fighting career and how they predicted the outcome of his fights.
From his sensational victory over Dominick Cruz and winning the UFC bantamweight title, to his shocking knockout by Kai Kara France, Cody Garbrandt has experienced both highs and lows. This video showcases his incredible highlights as well as the heartbreaking moments when he was knocked out.
Despite his unmatched hand speed, which he owes to his Olympic boxer uncle, Cody's emotions proved to be his downfall. In his fight against Pedro Munhoz, he went for the kill too often and suffered a devastating loss. Watch the training footage that proves Cody is still a phenomenal boxer, but unfortunately, he has seen no love from the UFC in recent times.
Relive the epic fight between Cody and Dominick Cruz, where Cody even pulled off a dance mid-fight. Rumors of a potential showdown between Cody Garbrandt and Conor McGregor made the rounds, but it never came to fruition.
This video not only analyzes how Cody can turn his losing streak around but also showcases how to use Cody Garbrandt in UFC 4. It even predicts a potential fight between Cody and Sean O'Malley in the game. Don't miss this fascinating look into the mind and career of one of the UFC's most talked-about fighters.

I never knew Cody had such a beautiful story for wanting to fight. Thank you
You are very welcome!
“Your why must be greater than your how” is a quote my coach always told me to get me pumped up for fights. Cody’s why after he won the belt went away causing him to lack that edge he needed to win, thus, resulting in him getting emotional in the cage and getting knocked out. I hope to see Cody get on another win streak. He’s a great and entertaining fighter.
Another banger video brother keep it up!
Thank you my friend! I agree, I'm a big fan of Cody and his story
Sports Psychology is, I think, a HUGE untapped source that many, many athletes have yet to figure out.
I agree. I think in 3-5 years, in the corner there will be a grappling coach, a striking coach, and a mental coach
@PsychologyOfTheFight Greg Jackson was a head of his time. When GSP told him about his groin being injured and Jackson told him, "you hit him with your groin"
Never fully understood why a guy with so much potential and talent could undergo this kind of downfall, it's an interesting theory how the lack on insipiration can provide an impact in our commitment for reaching those goals, applying these concepts for own insight rn, thanks for the video mate. Keep up the good work
You are very welcome! Thank you for checking out the video! It's my goal to give people ideas to bring to their own life, glad you are apply to apply it!
Men need a purpose. Men need to pursue that purpose relentlessly. Your purpose must come before distractions.
Stay on ya purpose!

It’s never too late to realign to 3.0 intrinsic mode. Thanks big dog
New Mythical Fighter: Colby 3.0
I think stylistically Leon is his best bet to get the belt
Fantastic content
Much appreciated!
He's still very young too. Hope Cody can gain some confidence and rack up a few wins. His last performance was painful to watch so gun shy but I believe in Cody
I agree, my palms were sweaty the whole time and there was barely any action.
You should do a video on Masvidals 2019 run, the focus on isolation and inner voice, where he went away to that reality show, reviewed his career, looked at what he was doing right and wrong and then came up with a formula for baptising but then also his downfall since
Thank you for the recommendation!
good idea
I watch videos because of my love for mixed martial arts and to understand the psychology of fighters that I love. And to practice these philosophies in my day-to-day life thanks man❤
Love to hear it bro, you're welcome, thanks for stopping by!
Motivation Lvl 1 - Biological Motivation: The Motivation to Get Food, Water, Shelter ect.
Motivation Lvl 2 - External Motivation: The Motivation to get something External. For example, money.
Motivation Lvl 3 - Deep Emotional Greater Purpose Motivation: This is the Type of Motivation that is Internal to you because of a Deep Emotional and Needed Drive. For example, Cody Needed to Win the World Championship so that his Buddy would Live and have the Will to Live and Not Let himself Die.
You will retain this information and use it in your own life my friend
Brilliant vid n thoughts once more. Thank u brother 🙏

Dude I am always so intrigued by your videos. This topic of fighters' psychology is something that almost everyone is interested. Truly, I am surprised you don't have more subscribers. Keep on making content man, the way you format this topic is really one of a kind. Your use of explanations followed by examples is great. Keep on growing brotha! Thanks for the content! :)

What an amazing video, I have no idea how u even begin to make these. I love the phychology aspect so much and I feel like u guide me through a story at the same time. Ur content is amazing man and I always rave about it. I’m honestly pumped for whatever is next
Appreciate you big time bro!! Always awesome to see you in the comments and get your feedback. Next is either Ngannou or Wonderboy... Do you have any requests?
@@PsychologyOfTheFight ohhh wonderboy be super interesting? But so would nganou, I’d say do both no preference to who’s first, I wanna see both.
I think Corey sandhagen would be a great idea, he has a sports psychologist and I bet u make a good video for him?
@@ethanguizzo9681 I've had a couple requests for Sandhagen, I'll have to check him out! Thanks for the rec brotha!
@@PsychologyOfTheFight I bet you smash a Cory sandhagen video, it may be diffenet tho but he’s been open about this type of stuff
@@ethanguizzo9681 I just finished the rough draft! It's very different, but he's a super unique guy that was awesome to research. Hoping you guys like it!
Wow, beautifully done man!

Brutally good video
Thanks brotha!
Awesome video bro!
Appreciate it brotha!
I love all your vids but I honestly think this is your best one so far
Hey thank you! What do you feel made it stand out? (I'm trying to keep improving)
@@PsychologyOfTheFight The thing that makes this video particularly special to me is how you clearly applied Cody's psychology to both his rise as well as his fall. For example, I love all your vids, but I would've liked to see you perhaps try to identify if Yan or Oliveira's psychology played a part in their recent losses as well as their past success if possible. Still, great video
@@hdvision7944 That's really good insight, thank you! Next video will have both the success and failure aspect!
Great vid man! Keep it up! :)
Appreciate it!
Bro best content on youtube. I learn so much from your channel. with every video. Cody himself would appreciate this!🔥🔥
Appreciate it big time bro! I would love for him to watch this video! I loved his book "The Pact," it really is a beautiful story
Awesome work 👏
Appreciate it man!
Thank you for your hard work. These videos are life changing masterpieces
Appreciate it bro! Each video really does take a long time, but I love reading comments like this on the people it had an effect on. Thank you!
@@PsychologyOfTheFight Keep up the amazing work! We are truly grateful and thankful for your passion to the craft.
my favourite content creator on youtube. Thank you for another masterpiece
You're very welcome. Thank you for the support!
Man I'm so glad I've come across your channel dude. Started reading Meditations recently then saw your vid on Dustin and now I'm here. Keep doing what you do brother, thank you 🙏
Awesome to have you here man, thanks for the support! Appreciate you!
I really needed this shit right now maybe your purpose is educating and helping people out thanks for another great video !
I think so! You're very welcome man, keep at it!
I think Leon's fighting style changed he became less passive which is for the better due to the confidence he gained after beating Usman in the 2nd fight , and it showed in their 3rd fight he was always hesitant he made his fights competitive for no reason due to him not engaging in action . I wish you could do a video about that cuz now Leon actually became a scary guy for the division cuz I think what changed his style wasn't training it was on the mental side maybe you could make "The Psychology of Condfidence 2"
This is a really interesting idea, thank you!
still my favorite bantamweight ever
Nice
nice
Hello, firstly, your channel is a gem, thanks for the video!
However, something seems confusing. IMO, although saving Maddox’ life gives Cody a deeper level of motivation, isn’t it still extrinsic, which is motivation 2.0? I think we can see it after Cody’s first title.
Greetings from brazil! Would be nice if you made a vídeo on alex poatan, it seems like no enemy can get inside his head, he knows how to take a win and a loss, aways humble
I did a while back! Check it out
@@PsychologyOfTheFight oh, my bad :). I just watched, was pretty good as aways.
Won't lie, this video and the Charles do Bronx one made me very emotional.
@@umbela5646 Love to hear that man. Happy to hear it had an impact on you. My goal is to teach and inspire the people who watch the videos to do great things!
Can you do a video like this analyzing Jon Jones throughout his career?
Do a vid on mcgregor being 2 time champ and dippping vs Khabib going for goat status regardless of belt. Same psychology
What?
Could you do a video about Usyk
Hmm, what about him is interesting to you?
@@PsychologyOfTheFight The fact that he never reacts just observes , calm and composed all the time( eg: his face of with Fury, Chisora his comeback in round 10 after being battered by AJ in round 9 ) ,if you look at his eyes ,its always focused like a hunter on a prey and most of all is his paradoxical personality , humble yet oozes self confidence , disciplined yet playful . He also never makes his fights easy on himself , he always chooses to fight in his opponents home country , and is unaffected by the crowd , IMO it takes a lot of mental strength to do that . I also found out that his favorite book other than the bible is the Art of War ( which is my favorite book as well 😅😅)
👍
👍🙏
brother , can you suggest some book for pyschology ?
The power of your subconscious mind, Psycho-cybernetics
@@PsychologyOfTheFight thank you brother ❤️🥊
Great story but not accurate. His succubus WAG ex wife is the real downfall. It’s sad because he told my man , a welterweight legend how much he inspired him the night of that championship. I wish he looked up to my man In relationships too. That’s his real downfall and he has expressed it. No loss hurts like losing your soul to the WAG game. There is a reason he prays his opponents are hurt and don’t have baby mama drama so they can give him their best
Where did you hear him say that last part? That's brutal
That this channel doesn't have 50m followers is absolutely laughable and a glitch in the matrix
One at a time! Thank you for the support!
I believe that Cody is a great fighter but he keeps his hands too low abs got caught and now has a glass jaw do too the consecutive kos. He was good but only for the short time being due to his aggressive lack of defense style.
This might be true, his style of staying in the pocket throwing crazy hooks had an expiration date, and we might've seen it. Still one of the most exciting fighters!
Would you ever do a patreon where you psychoanalyze subscribers?
Hmm, that's a really interesting idea I'd never thought of. Maybe! Were you looking to be psychoanalyzed?
