Hey joe, great video as usual. This suv is nice for sure. Funny you mentioned Bmw,Just yesterday I was saying the same thing about Bmw.
I love Bmw I’ve driven them, I worked in a Bmw dealership but this LCI and some of the new design has me conflicted. Something is lost. And then the M badge is on too many models. They have diluted the brand with too many variants of MSPORT pkgs etc. When you bought an M340i or X3 M40i it made you feel like you had something special now M badges are on almost every model 😂

Love what Porsche did with this and how beautiful it is, sharpe it is and all around a good looking SUV. I still love the BMW X5 M but it definitely has competition.

Nice review. Please see if you can get ahold of the new cayenne turbo E-hybrid for review. Also, just small suggestion. When going “on throttle!” Maybe after one or two pulls, take one more but without yelling “on throttle” so we can hear the entire rev range while accelerating? 😢 thanks !

This thing is stunning. The only thing about this exact Cayenne I'd change is make it silver instead of grey. And that exhaust is unreal.
Option out the piano black. They have some nice woods available. My opinion of course.

Have a 2021 Cayenne and like its interior vs the 2024. All that glass is hard to keep clean (particularly dust) and have no need for the passenger seat screen, would rather see leather there. The position of the shifter reminds me of a Lexus RX350 that I bought my wife 15 years ago. Might as well have made it a knob between the seats similar to my Genesis GV80. It does open up the view to the controls, where the shifter doesn't block some of the view. Also like the old dash. The 2024 verision looks more like one you would get with an EV.
Darn that whole middle section was dipping when pressing the vented/heated seats...

I have a March 2023 Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupe in Black. I prefer the proper gear shifter and analogue rev counter and the 911 headlamps. The GTS comes standard with a lot of kit that are options on the new S and even the new turbo.
Agree all the way! Should have ordered a 2023, now I'm in the pre-owned market.

Joe love how you called out BMWs new styling direction that just gives the feeling of very fragmented feeling. What I love about the Porsche philosophy is how they make the dash instrumentation designed to fit the flow of the dashboard (Not some tacky rectangular screen that looks like an afterthought like on the new BMWs). Porsche looks like they are still in tune with the sports enthusiast customer that cares how functions , features and design are integrated as one.

Sure, you gotta pay for it though lol. BMW has always had more hardcore enthusiasts because it’s cheaper to get into when you get more performance per the $ I really don’t care about infotainment integration when it comes at a $60k premium when you can get a better performing X5 for the money

@@CalvinK225 yeah BMW X5m is faster than cayenne S but not faster than the "Porsche cayenne Turbo GT coupe" (turbo GT is the second faster after Tesla Model X Plaid, following with Aston martin dbx707), BMW need more work to do if they want to beat the top of the line variant " turbo GT"
the suspension is so smooth. I dont see any bouncing inside the cabin. Tesla driver is bouncing like on the horse back. Porsche is rock.

Well there are zonks out there carbon fiber at the inside as you said..the net was not a good idea., the back windshield wipers. Only one twinkie fits in the backseat front panel mmm.. i don't know.

Really? I think it's kind of bland. I prefer the Urus for sporty looks. The Cayenne is getting a little aged IMO. Maybe the Turbo GT Cayenne Coupe. That one is really sporty, high performance.

So undecided between The Cayenne S and GLE63 . One thing I can say, with the Porsches, the price do go up in sane with all the options. I also don’t get why people are blown away with the prices of these cars, we’re living in a world where everything is expensive, and let’s not forget this is a luxury vehicle and you get what you pay for it

It’s without a doubt a phenomenal car, however at $139k you could get yourself a new 4Runner TRD PRO, Civic Type R and have change left over for a good used Miata! I know where my money would go.. great review Joe as always by the way!
The panel moving when you touched it, there’s something wrong with it, I’ve had 4 cayennes and own a turbo GT now. Everything is solid as rock inside. There’s Taptic feedback and some subtle softness in the material, but none of the panels move like that. Ugh
I traded my 2022 cayenne turbo for my 2024 x5m competition- its not even lose the x5m is orders of magnitude a superior car.

First. Joe hits another homerun out of the park. Great review. As for the Porsche Cayenne, for the asking price it should have a better seating surfaces. It should have leather seating with diamond quilt stitching on the seats and piping along the perimeter of the seams. Other cars less expensive offers this.

Love your channel. You are very funny and I relate to many of the things you say about certain vehicles. I see you did a review on the 2024 Porsche cayenne S with the v8 and the 2023 110 defender with the v8. What vehicle would you prefer. It would be a few years down the road so hopefully they still have the v8 in both of them by then. I see you did a review on the Subaru Wilderness as well. We just bought one. I'm actually shocked how much I enjoy it. Never thought I would ever buy a Subaru lol I like what you said about it being like a swiss army knife my thoughts exactly. Our other car we own is a 2023 Porsche Macan gts. We really love that car as well but don't want to put many more miles on it. We drove it from Ohio to Alaska and back. So it's adding up quickly lol. I do like certain things better with the Cayenne. Night vision, massage chairs, more room, the passenger screen, many other things. The Defender does look badass for sure and the v8 sounds great. Having real 4x4 abilities is a plus but my one concern is Land Rover's reliability vs Porsche's reliability. Pretty sure Porsche is better in that sense but maybe Land Rover is producing better vehicles now 🤔

Not that I have the money to buy one but those huge gloss back panel on the dash is a clear no go.

Clean design, evolution over the 20 yrs. Unlike others who change shape every 4 years. Cayenne over all other suvs.
I see where Honda took design clues for the hr-v . Even the colors ( body , rims ) similar.
The Cayenne started as a buggeyed oddity and has evolved into the best looking SUV. You don't get those on throttle sounds with an EV. Steven is right on about the color.

I like that car it’s fire I love the color I don’t like the interior color I wish it was red or peanut butter and I wish it had ambient lighting and 468 hp is good numbers but it would of been fire if it had at least 550hp cuz 468 is type slow but I still like it I think I still probably prefer the bmw X5 m competition over this a little bit more still

It's really the perfect daily driver. Even with price no object, I'll take the S over the Turbo GT. Main reason I would take the S is I hate the coupe body. Why take an SUV and remove utility for looks? Plus, I think it looks worse anyway. Also, I can't imagine downsizing the 22" wheels on the TGT, but they tide for crap. Nope, give me an S on 21" wheels and that's the sweet spot until a GTS comes along.
I enjoy your reviews Joe even though I can't afford most of them. Of course I would love to have this Cayenne but for $140,000 you would think that the front and rear facias would be the same gray hue as the rest of the car. Just saying!
I think it’s how the light hits it
Most cars will have a slight variance with the bumpers (plastic to sheet metal panels). Some colors stand out more than others.

That is a lot of money to pay for a Porsche badge. You can get an Audi RSQ8 with a lot more power for the same price. It is the same vehicle except the 4.0 V8 is tuned to 600hp. Better yet, you can get an SQ7 with 500 hp for 40k less. Same platform as the Cayenne and RSQ8 (also the Bentley Bentayga). But, saying you have a Porsche means a lot to some people I guess.

Joe, I don't think the Purosangue should be considered a "SUV". No roof rack capability and no tow hitch option. Two of THE biggest features for the "U" in "SUV".
I consider the Purosangue as a 4 door sports vehicle.
It has tow and roof rack options and does not need extra transmission cooler as others do
@@ianb282 No, it will NOT tow. there is no tow hitch option. Ferrari does not offer any roof racks. There is supposed to be after market rack options but I don't know it they will be roof racks, per se. There are no roof rails, like SUV's normally have. But you can get racks for any car, not SUV, but SUV's typically have a roof rail system specifically for roof rack options for various options like extra luggage, etc. But any car can get those.
So, my point still stands. No roof rail system, which is what SUV's have, and no tow hitch.
It really isn't a SUV, it's a 4 door sports car.
