This looks better than the cybertruck
I think Chevrolet and *gm* has just put the market on notice and raised the bar for what a fully electric pickup truck should be capable of and able to do while looking great. The $10,000 price decrease mustn’t go unnoticed either and may explain the more utilitarian interior. This is still a beautiful truck inside and out, the best design in the segment imo until the GMC Sierra EV hits the market.
I look forward to the next generation of Ultium products and battery chemistry. If the first attempt of a fully electric portfolio is this impressive I can only imagine what they may have in the works.
It’s very nice and super fast! I like it
I'd love to be able to buy a 2 door, regular bed version that will fit into my garage! By ditching the back doors and mid-gate you save on 4 door testing, a lot of materials and manufacturing costs and weight! You can make it so much cheaper and lighter! With no drive shaft hump you can have a flat floor with plenty of leg room for that occasional 3rd passenger. For bonus points you can have a solar bed cover for added range. That would be truly awesome!!!
Car Confections, I really enjoyed watching this, so I hit the like button!
Thanks!
@@CarConfections Great review. Any rumors when they will offer colors? Interested in buying, but I will never own a white or black truck. Funny, they hyped the blue...
Now, that's a pretty truck.
Love your video
Great video!😸
Thanks as always!
your reactions on the WOW mode was great. 😂
It was fun but almost frightening to accelerate that fast in something that weights that much 😂
How does it compare against the F-150 lightning?
If they can make price the same as an rst 5.3 gas motor they would have a winner.
The highest trim level gas half-ton Silverado is $75,000. You're going to need to wait at least 5 years for parity. The truck will get lighter too as new battery tech rolls out. This is substantially nicer too and WAY WAY more powerful.
It's definitely better looking and overall better than the cyber truck. But it's still over priced. If paying that much I'll still take a gas truck because this pricing is outta control. I wonder what the new ram charger will be priced at.
8 years on the battery warranty says a lot. I'll stick to hybrids from Toyota or straight gas vehicle. Price is just not worth it.
How long of a warranty does Toyota give on the engine and transmission?
8 years is the standard for both ICE and electric powertrains. In general, electric will last longer with less maintenance but neither is immortal. Still, there are both ICE and electric vehicles over 100 years old that are still operational, and that’s with the primitive tech for both types that existed back then.
Factory ICE powertrain warranty for GM, Ford, Ram, Toyota are all 5yr 60,000mi from what I can see…so 8yrs 100,000 on the Silverado EV is a plus.
My wife left me😢
Look. Another thing that won't sell! Great job gm!
Y’all literally say anything. 🤡
Aww, salty that this embarrasses the Cybertruck?
@@TroySavary gm can't sell pickup trucks now. What makes u think they'll sell an ev pickup truck. Something that has zero demand
@@Dellonidas GM sold 210k pickups in the US in Q1 of this year. You may want to fact check before opening your mouth next time. Makes you look less like an idiot.
@@Dellonidaszero? You sure? They have hundreds of thousands of reservations despite the insane prices of the higher trims available during rollout. I’m anxiously awaiting mine and watching people happily receive theirs on online forums. Hard to believe that’s zero.
Didn't like it when it was the Avalanche. Still don't like it.
It does seem ultra useful
I like this truck just in case I need to sneak out on my boo to go see my side chick!!! That’s what guys who buy electric cars are thinking!!!! So it’s a no no no boo boo!!!!
Poor sales incoming
Why?
No thank you
Too heavy and too expensive. Who is gm targeting with this truck?
Silverado and EV this is funny because nobody will buy an EVs. The 5.3s and 6.2s V8 are excellent, even the 3.0s Diesel way more better than EVs, READ MY LIPS, NO EV TRUCKS!!!
Peace 🕊️
@majood245 This Silverado EV is the real deal. It's on the road already. "READ MY LIPS" the particulate filter (GPF - yes for the gas 6.2L) is coming for MY2027. That includes DEF will be needed at dino juice fill ups. Bye Bye ICE Silverado's or hello poor house.
