I think NIssan is seeing the results (low sales) of their use of unreliable CVT transmissions and general de-contenting of their product. Even though they don’t use CVT transmissions in all their vehicles, the negative issues regarding their use has tainted the reputation for their brand. And I like CVT’s, but they have to be reliable.
That’s part of it, but it’s also their huge sales to fleet cars and lack of quality. Yes, the CVT reliability was crappy but they focused on the low end of the market and cut costs in a lot of areas which over years people have moved to better brands.

Just watched the Bangkok auto show online. Honestly, it seems families in Bangkok definitely have a much better time spent in their auto show than the families from NYC.

Had to pause the video to post this comment, this auto show is amazing. It has really showed the shear number of amazing cars and trucks have come out over the years, as well as where the electric future is taking us. In terms of design, so many great designs have come out interior and exterior and the designs coming out now-a-days are becoming increasingly insane and simply incredible. I'm so happy to have come out in the 90's.

The red SC looks red on my phone... I've never seen a red orange.
We got a new Ford F-100 Explorer in 1975. They called the color “Mexicali red”, but it was a weird orange.
@@garysarratt1 , I've looked at the video again on iPad (it has a very high quality display). Still red... I guess, people are not used to warm hues of the red color.
I think I saw my 1982 Celica in white , I missed it I drove from California to Boston in the winter and lots of snow on the road and I made it to Boston in 4 days about more then 3000 miles 😂
One potential benefit of having the headlights lower in the front is that the plastic might be less prone to yellowing or uv degradation since they are not fully exposed to sunlight.
I was wondering because of all the glare we are seeing today on the roads from headlights. Yes the driver can see better, but oncoming traffic is blinded these days. Lowering the headlights may help with that and also what you typed.
Hiding the rear door handles is dumb! What will they hide next? The steering wheel? The push button start? The brake pedal? Andres cameraman, right Roman?

Huge miss on all of these EV. 46:10 - Looks like my old 89 Escort GT.
The new 2025 Nissan Kicks looks kinda nice, especially the SR model. Much better than the old Kicks, I feel the same way about the Chevrolet Trax, the new 2024 Trax, especially the Trax 2RS, looks a lot better and seems nicer than the previous generation Trax.
We must find way to get rid of Moose and squirrel...

@6:37 look at all the cars following that useless trend of the raised belt line at the quarter glass next to the C-pillar. I hate trends. Especially when the have no value and serve no useful purpose. It just cut down on visibility and doesn't even look good. The Kicks floating roof is just goofy.
The Macan is the only EV that I know that still produces a sunroof that actually opens. I'm still not sure why the rest of the industry abandoned opening sun roof to go the way of Tesla sealed glass panel. I actually use my sunroof almost every day, especially during the Spring and Fall.

I don’t like the separated or divorced headlight look. It makes it look cheap and more like Kia/Hyundai.

A few things…
1- crazy to see how many people at Infiniti. Glad to see there’s some excitement for the brand.
2- Honda really needs a new Passport. The current generation is really behind now..
3- Polestar in general doesn’t make any sense. Polestar should’ve just been Volvo’s performance line - like BMW M or Mercedes AMG. Especially considering Volvo has its own electric models. Agreed though it should have glass.
4- Hyundai Santa Fe interior looks so cheap. The gear shifter being on the steering wheel is not very intuitive. I also can’t stand that they constantly put a rectangle screen behind a round steering wheel. I know they’re not alone but it really bugs me. That orange-ish color does look cool though.
Genesis- they all look pretty cool. Since the orange SUV is the only one we’ll get for now, it’s pretty cool looking.
Stellantis is missing. They don't have anything to show.
I pronounce Macan as 'may-can😂😂😂

Police Blazer EV? I guess it could work for parking enforcement or city center patrol. Can’t see it for State Troopers and Sheriffs.
At 100 mph the range is probably less than 10 miles. No one will stop.
@@user-tb7rn1il3qmost places don't allow high speed chases anyway so that doesn't matter in the slightest. And the car chase def won't last ten miles at 100mph.

You would think that for a major Auto Show in 2024 there would many more full BEVs, as it was predicted in 2021. I guess reality won.
I won't buy an EV, 3 cyl, or CVT.
Most of what you show here are, to me, meh. But I can guarantee my friends are going to be crazy for the ID Buzz.
In fact, I'm WAY more interested in what you showed in the last 10 minutes. Smaller, coupes and hot hatches. I am sick and bored of bigger, SUV, lifted, gigantic wheeled bank account busters. Give me small, nimble, affordable, with hot engine options. WHERE ARE THESE CAR MANUFACTURERS?!?

Anyone who does not believe in the movement of electric cars needs to take a trip to Amsterdam and as soon as you leave Schipol airport you will be faced with all the electric vehicles, imaginary from all makes. It is so clean and quiet despite so many taxis circling the vicinity. Teslas, Kias, Porsches, Mach-Es every single electric car operates there.

…or one could simply look at the sales drop in the US. People seem to be waiting for something better, and will stick with ICE (or keep their current EV) before playing the fool again.
