- "Let's not be sad, but let's laugh, when Latvian girls go with Krauts"
--Lyrics:
Tagad latvju meičas vāciski vien prot
Negrib latvju zēniem īstus skūpstus dot
Neskumsim, bet sāksim smiet
Kad latvietes ar fričiem iet
Un dzied Lilī Marlēn
Un dzied Lilī Marlēn
Tomēr latvju zēniem netrūkst meitenes
Viņiem paliek īstās latvju zeltenes
Tādēļ būsim tautiski
Un dziedāsim tik latviski
Rauj velns Lilī Marlēn
Ej dirst Lilī Marlēn
Nepaies ne gadiņš ražojums kad nāks
Karstas latvju meitas bērnu ratus vāks
Zudis būs tam lepnums viss,
Kad garām ies īsts latvietis
Teiks meitene vai zēns
Tas tomēr friča bērns

They for sure had a great sense of humor
Similar a lot to nowdays girls
All the Latvian songs have a very unique style of depicting things based on circumstances which we cannot understand now.
@@james_poika3186 Why would you make a kid listen to this anyway ? A kid must have a zillion things to do in his age. I still have my second grade school diary with me in which I used to make notes. Kids should focus on education first. These things can wait till they step into teenage.
@@james_poika3186 Oh I see. The teenagers are quite matured here. Where are you from?
@@nitinkataria3474 the "beautiful" country of the philippines.
@@james_poika3186 You folks are everywhere ! You sounded like you are 33. I have some nice friends from PH.
@@james_poika3186 Yes. Phillipine people are really different than the other Asians, in many ways.
The funniest lyrics award goes to:
I recently got my heart broken and this song puts a smile on my face
Labak manu galvu nema nekaa manu teevu zemi.

If the German army were able to fight like the Latvians, then we would have a much better life. Unfortunately, many deserters have shown that the German army is not capable of fighting.
👍👍👍
When your girlfriend leaves you for a German

Добре дуже дякую
tik feini -- man omei --- :D: ej dirst :LD:D ..
Cool photo btw
ej dirst lilī marlēn translates to go shit lili marlen
if translated word for word then sure, but the phrase is used the same way as "fuck you" in english so thats a more correct translation as theyre trying to translate the meaning behind the words, not the words themselves.
I see that the lyrics are also anti-german
A lot has been said about the 2 Latvian SS legions, and them still being commemorated as heroes in Latvia. But if anything, this song serves as a great example of "they fought against communism" instead of "they fought for the nazis". There certainly is a difference, even if both paths aligned towards a similar goal
this is more of a partisan, than legionary song
Absolutely yes, they're crazy anti german.
Rupji, šovinistiski, pretīgi! Kauns!
Melno humoru nesaproti?
