I hate "cool" teachers who befriend bullies and defend them.
I totally agreed! I've been a teacher for almost 20 years. Teachers don't need to be COOL but rather respectful and dignified.
I remember quite a few “cool teachers” in high school who acted like they were friends with students, and it was really weird to me even back then. One time a girl, who was like 16 or 17, was laughing with one of these “cool teachers” about how she had a hangover over the weekend, and the teacher just went along with it. I had another teacher who put it nice and simply when she said “I’m here to teach you, not to be your friend”. If you were mucking around, being disrespectful, not doing the work, she would get angry and reprimand you, but if you didn’t she’d be nice, it’s really that simple.
Don't be friends with the students, teach your subject with passion instead.

The thing is, You can be a "cool" teacher and also have boundaries with your students. You need to know the difference between building good relationships with your students and being 'friends' with them.

Something very important people don’t understand is that there is a clear distinction between being friends with versus being friendly with. Adults simply *cannot* and *should not* be friends with children under any circumstances, I don’t care what the case is. There is no, “I’m just trying to be on their level and get them to engage more.” What does this even mean? You will never be on the same level as a child… as the adults it’s imperative that you be the _adult_ and set these boundaries from the jump. Allahul Musta’aan, my parents didn’t even let me alone around/play with male cousins who were mere years older than me as a child, let alone ADULTS.
Ya Rabb, Wallahi preserving our children is so important. These conversations need to be had because the reality is that normalizing this behaviour is what leads to grooming and God forbid far worse. These boundaries have been set by الله سبحانه وتعالى for a reason, it’s upon us to follow them. May الله سبحانه وتعالى protect us and our offspring from harm اللهم آمين

@@Omar-Asim Yes. Free-mixing is something الله سبحانه وتعالى prohibits. These girls in the video are in secondary school, most of whom are probably going through puberty, or already have. Regardless of their age, there is proper Adab to have with children as an adult, and this is not something you would see any man who fears الله سبحانه وتعالى take part in.

As a millennial, “Cool” teachers were the teachers that made learning fun.
A cool teacher is not someone who let’s bullshit slide, a cool teacher is someone who makes learning fun and interactive and talks to the students eye to eye

Walaykumsalam I think because of if being a short he cuts out the beginning so the algorithm picks it up more. He still says it in his normal videos
