- This is maybe the most important video I have ever made on my channel; the story of How My Parents Became Muslim. It's one that I have been asked to make for the past 5 years, and today, Ramadan 2024, is finally the day! There is a reason the top search term for my name is "Obayd Fox Parents", people have been wanting to see this for quite a while. It's basically my dad's Islam convert story.
Me and my dad talk in detail about his journey in the UK from Christianity to converting to Islam. We talk about how he found Islam, how he dealt with it, his first time seeing and reading the Quran, and finally him accepting Islam and taking his shahada. His conversion (reverting) story really is an inspiring one, and I hope you guys enjoy it!

It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Jews of Banu Nadir and Banu Quraiza fought against the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who expelled Banu Nadir, and allowed Quraiza to stay on, and granted favour to them until they too fought against him Then he killed their men, and distributed their women, children and properties among the Muslims, except that some of them had joined the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who granted them security. They embraced Islam. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) turned out all the Jews of Medina. Banu Qainuqa' (the tribe of 'Abdullah b. Salim) and the Jews of Banu Haritha and every other Jew who was in Medina.

I'm a British Muslim, I reverted in 1998 alhamdulilah
Bro, after sending all the prophets peace be upon them, why God is sending the prophet to the Arabs only at the end? God send three scriptures Torah to Moses pbuh, Psalms to David and Gospels to Jesus, all the three to the Jews and only at the end to the Arabs. As per history, Jews is more or less has nothing to do with the country Israel as they are a the descendants of Jacob later renamed Israel. As per the scripture, God sends many prophets and out of a sudden, sends a prophet to the Arabs. Isn't that, to be frank something bizarre? If Jews had rejected the scriptures, then why God did not send another prophet to them? The biggest doubts arise from the following:
1.To blame Christians, their devotion to Mary could be used but why an all knowing God doesn't know that Mary is not worshipped by Christians as God and asks Jesus about that?
2.God making someone else resemble Jesus to be crucified. Wouldn't that increase chances of people worshipping Jesus as God?
3.Why would God made someone else be crucified instead of Jesus or made it to seem like Jesus was crucified?
4.Messiah comes again to save the People of the Book i.e. Jews but they are way less than the number of followers who accept the scripture send to Arabs? Why Jesus being a normal prophet, comes again and born miraculously while none of the prophets were born that way?
Everyone shout at these questions, but Abraham pbuh had objected his family deities this bringing worship of One True God.

Starting with Quran is very impressive. You are amazing. I heard a guy who reverted last year he said Quran had some complicated words for him to understand at the beginning of his search of islam so he started with Hadith (a collection of prophet Mohammed pbuh sayings which, with accounts of his daily practice (the Sunna), constitute the major source of guidance for Muslims apart from the Quran). He said that Hadith is more understandable and easy for a beginner. Later on and after knowing the basics he read the Quran and took his Shahada.

My mom is Christian but has been fasting Ramadan each year. This year I hope she takes shahada it’s so hard for her because there isn’t much Spanish speaking Muslims who can give her Dawah other than me and she refused to watch Islam in Spanish….. now Alhamdulillah she’s slowly listening and wow …. Just wow. She prays 5 times a day and fasts. She wears hijab too. Pray for my momma that Allah guides her. It’s not easy because she doesn’t know English too much. Where God's can have sons and daughters and where u just believe and go to heaven. Coz someone else died for your sins and paid the price with blood. The most incomprehensible concent of theology. But yet, they successfully brain freeze millions to follow it. There is no diety to worship, except Allah (God) and Muhammad is his final messenger. Like Jesus was a beloved messenger. As Somali, Arabs are the least scholars to learn about Islam. We Somalis are more educated in Islam than Arabs. I live in America and most masjids are build my community. Arabs was there before we came 30, 50 years ago but they blended with the American none believers and they act like them.

Masha Allah, so pleased for you. I've found it very helpful understanding and memorising the meaning of the last 10 surah's in the Quran at the very least. What happens then is that when I stand up before the almighty in Salah and recite the verses understanding its meaning really helps me feel connected to the almighty lord of the worlds "Allah". Try it, it was a great piece of advice given to me and now to you.

Alhamdulillah, may Allah accept you and us. Make sure you stay connected to the Masjid afterwards, practising Muslims and Salah because Salah is a pillar of Islam and it is the way you connect and speak to your Lord Allah when you recite the Quran in it whilst knowing the meaning of what you recite. A piece of advice, get yourself this Quran called "The Clear Quran by Dr. Mustafa Khattab" if you don't have one. Reason why I mention this one is that the translation from Arabic to English is very easy to read and understand. I was recommended this too and love it. I went for the Hifz Edition as I'm trying to memorise the Quran as much as possible whilst understanding its meaning and the translation has been wonderful alhamdulillah. May Allah give all your family guidance to Al-Islam because truly the heart finds peace after entering into it. Learn Islam as much as you can, pray Salah, make dua for their guidance and treat them all with kindness and then gently speak to them about the Lords message. Insha'Allah may Allah open their hearts to the truth.

Ramadan is the best time to revert to Islam. I said shahada 20 years ago in October. It was Ramadan in this time and the community is most welcoming in this time. Unfortunately, my family was not as accepting of my faith but to be fair, they are not close.

I am a born Muslim but not a good practising one until I sent two daughters to an Islamic institution for their education. And in so doing I started to learn more about Islam so as not to be left behind from my daughters. Alhamdulillah I ve realised my responsibility as a muslimah. I moved to the UK five months ago. As a person from the biggest Islamic population in the world ( Indonesia ), I thought that it would be difficult to practise Islam in the UK, attend the Jamaah prayer at the mosque, do fasting during Ramadan, and be minorities. But I was wrong, Masha Allah..the Muslim community is really big and nice. The mosques are always lively. The enthusiasm for Ramadan is fantastic. Almost every week, people are reverting to Islam. It's growing so fast here.

It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Jews of Banu Nadir and Banu Quraiza fought against the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who expelled Banu Nadir, and allowed Quraiza to stay on, and granted favour to them until they too fought against him Then he killed their men, and distributed their women, children and properties among the Muslims, except that some of them had joined the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who granted them security. They embraced Islam. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) turned out all the Jews of Medina. Banu Qainuqa' (the tribe of 'Abdullah b. Salim) and the Jews of Banu Haritha and every other Jew who was in Medina.
وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ، إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّالله عليه وسلم فَأَجْلَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَأَقَرَّ قُرَيْظَةَ وَمَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ حَتَّى حَارَبَتْ قُرَيْظَةُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَقَتَلَ رِجَالَهُمْ وَقَسَمَ نِسَاءَهُمْ وَأَوْلاَدَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ بَيْنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلاَّ أَنَّ بَعْضَهُمْ لَحِقُوا بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَآمَنَهُمْ وَأَسْلَمُوا وَأَجْلَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَهُودَ الْمَدِينَةِ كُلَّهُمْ بَنِي قَيْنُقَاعَ - وَهُمْ قَوْمُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلاَمٍ - وَيَهُودَ بَنِي حَارِثَةَ وَكُلَّ يَهُودِيٍّ كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ .

It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Jews of Banu Nadir and Banu Quraiza fought against the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who expelled Banu Nadir, and allowed Quraiza to stay on, and granted favour to them until they too fought against him Then he killed their men, and distributed their women, children and properties among the Muslims, except that some of them had joined the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who granted them security. They embraced Islam. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) turned out all the Jews of Medina. Banu Qainuqa' (the tribe of 'Abdullah b. Salim) and the Jews of Banu Haritha and every other Jew who was in Medina.
وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ، إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّالله عليه وسلم فَأَجْلَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَأَقَرَّ قُرَيْظَةَ وَمَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ حَتَّى حَارَبَتْ قُرَيْظَةُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَقَتَلَ رِجَالَهُمْ وَقَسَمَ نِسَاءَهُمْ وَأَوْلاَدَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ بَيْنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلاَّ أَنَّ بَعْضَهُمْ لَحِقُوا بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَآمَنَهُمْ وَأَسْلَمُوا وَأَجْلَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَهُودَ الْمَدِينَةِ كُلَّهُمْ بَنِي قَيْنُقَاعَ - وَهُمْ قَوْمُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلاَمٍ - وَيَهُودَ بَنِي حَارِثَةَ وَكُلَّ يَهُودِيٍّ كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ .

I was a born muslim. I was Muslim because my parents were but i was not taught islam by them.They just taught me the cultural things and the 5 pillar we must follow but why ? They didn't teach me properly because they themselves didn't know. I think this is the reason why some of us muslims become atheist or agnostic or just hate islam at some point.may Allah forgive us. so they were just typical average muslims. During my teen days i became agnostic and i have been through a lot but i was always THE TRUTH SEEKER then Allah the most gracious grant me mercy and gave guidance in 2022.Its a feelings i can't express in words. May Allah swt grant those guidance who are The Truth seekers with an open heart.ameen.

The Arabic word u wrote after Allah should be written after prophet Mohamed not Allah, you used the wring one.
Its meaning in english is (prayer be upon him). after Allah we write عز وجل which is Almighty in english.

Depends on how informed they are.Some common Muslim people in Malaysia didn't even know that India has huge Muslim community.But with the social media and internet many come to know about muslim in India.Nowdays average Muslim in Malaysia know about indian Muslim being oppressed by radical hindu.Among the community of thalabul ilmi indian subcontinent is known as land of muhadditheen and. Tabligh.many Malaysian great scholar learned in indian subcontinent.Darul uloom have special place among thalabul ilmi community in Malaysia.

@@shalalaikuzeo go to pondok(traditional madrassah) and you will see a lot teacher there was alumni from subcontinent especially the one that specialising in teaching Hadith and the science of it.The community of thalabul ilmi is more knowledgeable about subcontinent Muslim and their scholarly work and studies even before the internet and social media.
