    Regarding Single Cask, my understanding was that as long as it came from one cask at the end, it was a single cask. The history leading up to that moment doesn't matter beyond age statement.
    You can mix as many casks as you want into any cask you want. EG, you _could_ have a 10yo bourbon cask and a 10yo oloroso cask, pour it into a single PX sherry butt for 2 years then sell it as a "12yo Single Cask: PX Cask". The whisky itself takes its age statement with it from cask to cask, but the 'single cask' definition only cares about the step between final cask -> bottle.

    I was thinking Kilchoman as Dave was describing it as sooty. Not too bad though! A meta approach: Bowmore single cask would've been pretty unusual, right?
