Hello dear, I have an Axial Yeti RTR 1/10. Recently I’m hearing an electrical leakage and spark sound while steering to right. I guess so my servo is out of order. Which servo should I buy for the stock version? I’ll be really so appreciated if you may help me. Thanks 🙏🏻 😊

Start with the spur and pinion gear, you can also swap the two main gears inside the transmission case (put the bottom on top and top on bottom), and make sure you’re running 3s Lipo. From there, may have to start looking at motor and ESC options.
i always have found that any savox servos needed a bec to keep it working without it fighting with me. I have had 40 dollar savox;'s that wouldn't work unless that bec was interfering. but on the other hand the same servo from hitec would run flawless and no bec needed. this is all on a 2s lipo on a castle sidewinder for my scx10. do you have a aneswer why this is happening to me? thanks and cant wait to hear back! :)
Because savox's electronics use more amperage, thus browning-out your internal esc's bec. Don't be fooled though, most high-end Hitec servos greatly benefit from running a bec or even directly from the 2s LiPo too. In my opinion and experience, any servo with more than ~150oz/in of torque will need a bec to function to their fullest.
that's the strange part i got a weak savox servo but still acted like a high torque when it struggled. i was annoyed and fed up with what i had to do so i was lazy and just bought another hitec servo and have the same one today. but now that i have more information i will try that castle bec and have more servo with my set up. thank you :)
Crawltheworld There's always the possibility that your savox servo has a problem, it can happen with any given brand. Also, my best friend fried 3 Hitec 7950 in a month, i don't know how he did but it just shows that any servo can crap out on you. Most of my other friends have the cheaper hitec 645mg and none seem to have a problem with it, go figure :)
Do you have steering? If not then rebind the radio according the to instructions on the manual. If you DO have steering then recalibrate the radios throttle position according to the instructions.
Axial I do like their product but they're productive unstable they cannot continue continue a good product lot of products are getting discontinued so so I don't like to rest on Axial

Do the Gens Ace 5000mAh 40C 3S HardCase Lipo fit the Yeti? It got dimensions 139*46*38 mm do you know if it fit the tray?
How much run time do you get from those batteries on a normal day of racing/bashing?
AND you can select 6/7.4v internal BEC with the RX8.
If youre worried about amperage, check out the data logging for voltage sag.

harleyhi I just bought a wraith I'm look in into a servo what do you recommend?
+John Shuppas You pretty much get what you pay for. I don't suggest anything under 300 oz/in for a Wraith and I personally prefer over 400.

+John Shuppas The sidewinder is not a sensored ESC. You need a sensored ESC like the Mamba Max Pro to properly run that motor.

yeah that's what i have on my 6 lb scx10 and it has been beaten on for 3 years and is the best investment yet haha!
