Some of them are very old but I still wish to guide them towards better scholars may Allah guide us all. They are proudly deobandi and think salafis have problems. But I feel like its ignorance and not malicious intent as they are much more practising then the average in this country. Anyway any general tips for this case? Any Urdu videos that explain to them the truth?

      @@mohamada2177 Why do you call them pious? Can you define piety in regards to the Shari'ah?
      I don't know Urdu, my bother. May Allah grant you success.
      Google Salafi Research Institute, they have a number of refutations on Deobandis you can translate. May Allah grant you success.
      For example;
      A concerning issue that have been found in Tablighi Nisāb / Fazaail-e-Aamaal.
      From Fazaail-e-Aamaal (Virtues of Charity): A virtuous man once *sat down near the grave of a generous person and related that he needed some Deenaars (money) to help a beggar. In the night, he saw the man of the grave in his dream*, who directed the virtuous man to go to his house where in a corner lay buried five hundred Deenaars, which he should give it to the beggar. Next morning, the man visited the house of the man in the grave, spoke to the family members and thus, the Deenaars were found. The man told the family members to keep the wealth for they were legal successors of the wealth. But they refused saying that it was shameful for them that *their ancestor could be generous even after his death and they could not be during their life.* The Deenars were thus, given to the beggar but the beggar only took half a Deenar.
      *Reference:* Fazaail-e-Aamaal, (Eng. Trans.), Virtues of Charity, Chapter.7, story no.24, p.195-196 (New Edition 1982, Published by Dini Book Depot -Delhi).
      There is no clarification, before or after this story that such-and such belief is not true, and that this story is only meant to encourage charity. Instead, what is found is the *following , comment by Moulana Zakariyyah* “The thing to be _noted and considered in the above story is as to who was most generous The deceased or his family or the beggar?_
      _In our view, the beggar was most generous as in spite of his needs, he did not take more than half of a Deenar.” [end quote]_
      Can a just person, after reading this comment, honestly say that a commoner to whom such stories are read, will only take encouragement for righteous actions from it, and not form a misguided opinion about the ability of the dead righteous to perform righteous acts and benefit the living? *Rather, this story helps formulate the belief, and Moulana Zakariyyah’s comment re-enforce it!*
      *The idea that benefits may be received from the grave is the basic premise for grave worship.* And we have seen already the dangers of attachment to graves, and the severe warning by Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wassallam) against taking graves as places of worship.
      As for the intent of Moulana Zakariyyah, none can argue, after reading his comment, that such stories are not meant to teach a particular Aqeedah, especially since he himself approves, *“The same benefit which was received from the Faqir's physical life will be acquired from his grave.”* _Mashaikh-e-Chist (Eng. Trans.) p.211_
      Above was taken from the following research: *Advice to those who participate in dawah along with the Tableeghi Jamaat* by Sajid A. Kayum

    JazakAllahKhair excellent video. I have a request for your upcoming videos.
    Can you make a video on the Actions of Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) and what the Salaf had to say about them.
    I hear people say and give quotes from the Salaf that the actions of Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) are not Muhadth (reoccurring) and that the meaning of muhadth is created.
    Also on the topic of Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah I’ve heard people say that he attributes size to Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) Ik you somewhat touched on that in this video but I’d like to know if this is true or where this notion came from.

    • @ibmsulaymani
      @ibmsulaymani  Před 9 dny +2

      *Allāh’s actions*
      Shaykh Sulṭān al-ʿUmayrī has good explanations of this topic in his explanation of al-Wāsiṭīyyah, as well as Shaykh ʿAbdullāh al-ʿUjayrī in his explanation of al-Tadmurīyyah. Allāh’s speech is the most discussed and differed upon attribute where ṣifāt al-ikhtīyārīyyah are discussed, so I’d recommend watching Shaykh Sulṭān al-ʿUmayrī’s videos on Allāh’s speech if you know Arabic.
      *The word “size” and it’s attribution to Ibn Taymīyyah:*
      As is the habit of today’s Ashʾarī-wannabes of the English speaking world, they utilise words by which they intend to reject what Allāh affirms for Himself - like the word “size”, and they deceive the ignorant and gullible through this word and make them imagine this means Allāh is a body, because only bodies have sizes.
      With regard to this word “size”, then the reality is that there is nothing that exists except that it must be “dhū qadr” and “dhū ṣifah” which means it must have a true and real existence - instead of a mere imagined conceptual one - that is characterised with attributes. And the Jahmīyyah denied this for Allāh, because they claim this necessitates a size and therefore a body (jism), and this means that they do not in reality, affirm a “dhāt” for Allāh.
      But since attributes cannot exist on their own (separate from an essence), Allāh must have a “dhāt”, and this “dhāt” must have a true and real existence, beyond just a concept in the mind. And so “dhū qadr” means that this dhāt of Allāh (His Essence) has a real and true existence, and “dhū ṣifah” means that this dhāt (Essence) is described with Attributes.
      Such ridiculous attributions come from Ashʾarī-wannabes due to their ignorance of theological terminology when discussing Allāh’s characteristics, especially regarding Ibn Taymīyyah, which is why they make such rookie mistakes.

    • @user-bn2nv5mx2g
      @user-bn2nv5mx2g Před 9 dny

      @@ibmsulaymani JazakAllahKhair now I understand the bit about “size”. I actually got that from the orientalist Jon Hoover (since I’m limited in my access to english content on Ibn Taymiyyah’s works).
      As for Allah’s actions JazakAllahKhair for the references I’ll check them out, I might have a harder time listening to shaykh Abdullah Al Ujayri since I’m not good with ‘Amiyyah or accents but if shaykh Sultan Al ‘Umayri speaks mainly in Fus7a then It will be easier for me to understand.
      But on that note do you have any particular videos or playlists for me to check out by those people? since I don’t know what to search up especially if I have to search for their content in Arabic.
      JazakAllahKhair / BarakAllahuFeek for your efforts and response.

Their aqeedah is Maturidi, they follow Sufi turuq, their founders whom they revere, were staunch Sufis, such as Anwar Shah Kashmiri, who approved of taking benefits from the people of the graves and Ashraf Ali Thanawi who in his poems did istigatha with Nabi alayhi salat wa'salam. Do not be deceived by their "moderate" approach, if you are consistent in your manhaj then you will know they are people of innovation to the bone. BarakAllah Feek, Ustadh Ibrahim.

    The whole earth will be in His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be rolled up in His right hand” (Q. 39:67). Ibn Taymiyya explains that the whole world in the hand of God is smaller than a chick pea in one of our hands. With such an image in mind, it is not difficult to imagine God located above a spherical earth from any point on its surface because God completely surrounds it.
    Ibn Taymiyya believes Allah is a body.

      We see Ibn Taymīyyah’s position clearly explained in all of his well known books and his position is that the use of the word body (jism) in both affirmation and negation is a reprehensible bidʾah (innovation) in the religion. I can bring only a small sample of quotes here.
      • Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah said:
      *❝As for the word body (jism), it is an innovation (bidʾah) in both negation or affirmation, there is not in the Book or the Sunnah and nor the saying of any of the Salaf of the Ummah and it's leading Imāms who applied the word jism with respect to Allāh’s attributes, neither in negation nor in affirmation.❞*
      📚 (Minhāj al-Sunnah an-Nabawīyyah 2/135)
      • Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah said:
      *❝And those who said that He is a body (jism) are of two types: The first: And this is the saying of their scholars - that He is a body but not like the [created] bodies, just like it is said, a dhāt (essence, self) but not like the [created] essences, and mawsoof (described) but not like the [created entities that are] subject to description, and a thing but not like the created things. So these people say that He, in His reality, is not like those besides Him from any angle at all, however this affirmation [of jism] is merely [to indicate that He has a real existence by which He is distinguished [from whatever is besides Him]. Like when we say “mawṣūf” (something being subject to description), then this is an affirmation of a reality that [a thing] can be distinguished by.*
      *And as for the second type, they are the majority, those about whom it is narrated that they said: “He is flesh and bones” and similar things to this. This saying of theirs which is the most obvious corruption, if He had been flesh and bones - as it is understood - then what is permissible upon [the created types of] flesh and bone would be permissible upon Him, and this leads to the tamthīl (resemblance to the creation) that Allāh has negated from Himself.*
      *So whoever speaks with this tashbīh (resemblance), which comprises such anthropomorphism (tajsīm), then he has made Him like the [created] bodies which are other than Him, [considering] Him to be greater in status [in this tajsīm], and this is clear and manifest falsehood from both a rational and sharīʾah point of view. And such people are the anthropomorphists (mushabbihah) whom the Salaf have criticised. And they (the Salaf) said: “The mushabbih is the one who says: Seeing like my seeing, and Hand like my hand and Foot like my foot.” And so this is making resemblance in the genus [of a thing], even if that being attributed with resemblance is greater in status than that to which it is being resembled.❞*
      📚 (Bayān Talbīs al-Jahmīyyah 1/283-285)
      • Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah said:
      *❝The leading Imāms of the Sunnah and Ḥadīth never differed in anything of the foundations of their religion. For this reason, not a single one of them said: “Allāh is a body (jism),” and nor “Allāh is not a jism,” rather they rejected the negation when the Jahmites from the Muʾtazilah and others innovated it, and they also rejected the negation of the Jahmites of the attributes, alongside their rejection of those who resembled His attributes with those of His creation. In fact, their rejection of the Jahmīyyah Muʾaṭṭilah was greater than their rejection against the mushabbihah, because the disease of taʾṭīl is greater than the disease of tashbīh.❞*
      📚 (Darʾ al-Taʾāruḍ al-ʿAql wal-Naql 10/306)
      • Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah said:
      *❝So it is said to the one who asked about the word “jism” (body): What do you mean by your saying? Do you mean that He is of the genus [of things] found in the creation? If you mean that, then Allāh, the Exalted, has explained in His Book that there is no likeness or equal or rival for Him, and He said: {Is one who creates like one who does not?}. [**16:17**] Hence, the Qurʾān indicates that nothing is like Allāh, neither in His essence nor in His attributes and nor in His actions. So if you mean by the word “jism” that which comprises likeness to anything from the creation, then Allāh is purified of that, and your answer is in the Qurʾān and Sunnah, and when Allāh (in His essence) is not like of the genus of water, or air, and nor the soul that is blown into us, and nor from the genus of Angels, or the celestial orbits, then that He should not be from the genus of the body of man, his flesh, his bones, nerves, flesh, hand, foot, face and other such organs and limbs is even more the case and more befitting. And this type of [affirmation] and its likes which is referred to as tashbīh and tajsīm, all of it is denied in the Book and the Sunnah, and there is not in the Qurʾān, a single ayah which indicates, neither textually, nor apparently, the affirmation of any of that for Allāh.❞*
