Also, I've heard the hadith of the eclipse prayer is also used as a proof for the malikiyyah.
In the hadith the prophet reached out for a bunch of fruit in front of him and also moved forwards and backwards when he saw heaven and hell . These 2 points imply the prophet (SAW) was looking infront of him.
Also, the once the salah ended the sahaba tell the prophet that they saw him moving forwards and backwards, showing that they were looking straight ahead.
The hadith is The people say, "O Allah's Apostle! We saw you taking something from your place and then we saw you retreating." The Prophet replied, "I saw Paradise and stretched my hands towards a bunch (of its fruits) and had I taken it, you would have eaten from it as long as the world remains.
    Sahih Muslim 907a
    In-book reference : Book 10, Hadith 18

Abu Ma’mar reported: I said to Khabbab, “Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, recite in the noon and afternoon prayers?” Khabbab said yes. We said, “How do you know?” Khabbab said, “By the movement of his beard.”

Wouldn't most of the Ahadith in which a male sahabi says that the prophet (SAW) did or didn't do raful yadain also serve as evidence as the narrator sahabi seems to be looking at the Prophet's (SAW) hands?

I want to follow this position but because no one follows this position where I live, and almost noone knows about this position I fear doing so will cause a lot of fitnah. So what should I do?

In this case, insha'Allah, it is best to stick to your current practices if they are correct. By correct, I mean there should be no bid'ah, kufr, or shirk in your worship.
It is best to avoid such fitnah.

      Al Sallam Alaykum.
I pray sadl in a hanafi mosque. I notice the feelings from others but my duty is to Allah swt alone. If I pray one way when alone, then another in congregation, then I consider myself a munafiq as I fear the people more than Allah swt. Insha'Allah I will now pray looking straight ahead and Allah swt is my protector. Everyone choses their own path so nobody can tell you what to do but search for the truth and be consistent in your manner of prayer brother.
