So Volumes has always had two frontmen on vocals, they’ve gone through a few line up changes since they formed, the two original singers were Michael Barr: who did harsh and cleans & Gus Farias: who only did harsh vocals (kinda had raspier vocals.) Michael left the band and Myke Terry took over on clean and harsh vocals until Gus left the band, Michael Barr came back and now him and Myke Terry both do clean and harsh vocals.

The best decision in my opinion cause I have always hated Gus. Always found him annoying. yes he gave me good music for years but he just didn't match in my opinion. this last album has been there best since no sleep.

dude i found out that there's actually a surprising amount of overlap with people who listen to metal and listen to kpop xD (i'm one of them if it isn't obvious now lmao) your kpop reactions are how i found your channel, and i also happen to like volumes so i was excited for this!! i saw them for the first time in 2014 on warped tour, super fun. I really love that you can appreciate multiple genres, like a song/group doesn't have to be your favorite but you can still appreciate it for what it is and just say its not your thing. not a lot of people are like that unfortunately haha.
I laughed at you saying you knew about different rap genres but didn't apply it to other genres LOL!! a lot of metal tends to have songs/albums where they try to go a little lighter, i assume to try to appeal to a broader audience. even though i think they typically just end up losing the fans who like them for their hard stuff and not gaining enough new ones xD
i do hope you end up reacting to more metal, i actually enjoyed hearing the references and stuff you were regretting saying hahaha

You're kinda right with the Killswitch comparison, they had 2 vocalists from the start, one left and got replaced. Now the original vocalist came back and is with them again. I agree with you too, I'm not a fan of On Her Mind, it's on their worst album and was a low point for the band. If you are interested in more song by Volumes "edge of the earth" was the big track that made them a big name in the scene. If you want something newer, "Bend" is really good, it's more like "Get Enough".
