Unless you've been cooking on the side of your house, you don't use a degreaser to clean it. 1% Sodium Hypochlorite (in your mixed concentration) and whatever soap you like to suds with (some soaps work better than others). It'll do the job and you can rinse it off with a hose instead of etching your siding point blank with a pressure washer. Hence, "soft wash". 5% Sodium Hypochlorite to clean your roof.
While I'm a huge fan of Super Clean, It doesn't do the best job on mold and algae. Watching your video I noticed that the Super Clean did almost nothing. It was really the pressure from that removed it.
Next time you need to do this, try a product called 30 Second Outdoor cleaner. You can actually see it break down the mold and mildew when it's applied. If you want to save some money you can make your own with straight bleach and a surfactant like dish soap. Fill the foam cannon about 80% with Bleach then top it off with dish soap. Spray and wait about 5 mins and hose off.

looked more like close up high pressure cleaned. Wonder if adding car soap or dawn soap in would help superclean cling longer and work better. Im trying to find a video of someone using a foam canon with a mix of soap and pool cholorine. Seems like that combo would work well although I have no idea the mix ratio. Would need to be careful of plants and grass too.
Thanks for taking the time to shoot the video. Super Clean is a good product and like any good product, it has its uses. SC is best used as a degreaser. As others have pointed out, you would have achieved the same result using just your power washer because a degreaser is not going to interact with mold and mildew.
If you instead used a concentrated bleach solution, you would see the difference. Mixing a few ounces of dish soap (a surficant) and bleach together in your foam Canon and allowing it to sit on your siding for 20 minutes, then hosing it off (no need for pressure washer), you would have seen remarkable results.
Just passing along what I've learned since this is a task I do once ea year myself.

Absolutely agree. Use pool shock with foam gun it you would have been successful. Foam gun is a bit limited to how far it can reach but otherwise is fine for DIY job.

I would try the Super Clean mixed with some of the Purple Power Vehicle and Boat high PH soap, instead of dawn, may work better. Thanks for the video!

It "rinses" off... as close as you got on the "rinse" you could have just bypassed the cleaner and just used the water pressure to get that house clean since your basically getting that close to do the "rinse".

What ratio for Krud Kutter siding mixture would you suggest in the foam cannon cause I used the tank once and I feel the pressure washer used more soap than I anticipated. I want to start using the foam cannon cause it’s less clean up and I don’t have to worry about the siphon hose or other things down there clogging up
I'm sure you'll enjoy a foam cannon. I'm not familiar with Krud Kutter, but I would say go with whatever dilution the label suggest.
should have added some dawn dish soap to the mix, it helps make the foam thicker so it will stick to the siding better.Then let it sit for 10-15min instead of 5min before you rinse
That's a great idea. I do use a mixture of Super Clean and Dawn as an all purpose cleaner for my car interior.

That’s not true actually. Foam cannons have been tested right next to just pressure washers, and the side with foam is way cleaner. Everyone knows soap cuts through dirt, grease, & mildew.
Tbf, a Powerwasher cleans it just as well with water.

To be honest, I don't know. I'd suggest diluting it.

I just ordered another foam cannon for my pressure washer for this purpose. The soaps that are safe for the pump aren’t very effective. By using a stronger cleaner in the foam cannon, you bypass the pump.
Would this work for aluminum siding?

Yes. The reason he has to use pressure was because the chemical didn't do anything. So he had to get close with the fan tip to mechanically remove it.

Original Super Clean has a pH between 12.5 and 13.8.
I sincerely hope you were joking. Using acid on a boat will first remove your wax and then it will remove your gelcoat. Ask any professional detailer. Boat Maintenance 101

All those biodegradable bs products I tried did nothing with a 3600 PSI PW
Simple Green work wonderfully better and was able to clean well enough I do not have to redo for a while !

The soap kills the algae and mold, and prevents it from growing back. Otherwise it just starts to grow back the next day
@@kidswhodostuff7217 Actually vinegar kills mold not super clean. None of that looks like mold it's algae or mildew. I use a bleach/degreaser mix in a backpack sprayer. Then light rinse with hose and that does the job. Pressure washing at those angles can cause some damage and possible trap water behind vinyl causing mold.
Use a mix of pool bleach and a a bit of gain detergent. A 10 to 1 ratio

I only use water on mine. There r better products than that foam. Who could spray that on a ton of siding. Especially way up high.

1. You didn't show any attempt to clean without the product.
2. When using the full strength you had the pressure washer much closer than the diluted, and then you WOWd how much better it worked. Yes because it wasn't an equivalent wash.

That cleaner did very minimal... Your pressure washer was what cleaned your siding.. If you had to get right up on your siding with the green tip, then the green tip did the work, not your so called cleaner.. Too funny that you believe your cleaner helped..
This video is a waste because your scrubbing everything off with the pressure and so you can’t really tell if the foam cannon makes a difference
