  • Do you need to pressure wash your house to get rid of all the nasty dirty green and black crude off of your house? This video will show you how to clean and what products to use.
    When washing your house you want to use low pressure less than 100 PSI so you dont damage your house or remove the oxidation layer on the house. Use mildly bleach solution and surfactant to apply onto the house to clean the vinyl siding. Once you let the solution sit for 5-10 minutes and not letting dry on house. Next you will use low pressure again to rinse house and remove the dirt grime away. You can either use apressure washer or the garden hose to rinse.

    Good stuff!
    Three additional tips: (1) wear goggles, (2) do this in the cooler portion of the day and when the sun is low or when it's overcast, and (3) thoroughly wet down all nearby vegetation with plain water first before you apply the cleaning solution; it will kill it if you don't.

    A telescopic lance or suitable lance to get up close would be best for putting hypo / chems on sidings like this.. This would 1) prevent overspray......... 2) apply the chems more evenly 3) Get the job done in a more efficient way...... because of the low pressure the telescopic pole ( preferably Carbon fiber ) would be a sinch / easy to control because there would be no kickback from any pressure .. shooting it up from the ground like this creates a ton of waste chems / water and also lots of overspray. which could damage other surfaces.. just my 2 cents

My question is: what do we need to do when some of the black stuff doesn't wash off, after two soap and rinse? We ended up using a brush to get it off, that's easy to do on areas easily reached but not the top of the house. We were using bleach and applewash.

    This is an amazing video it truly breaks down what takes place during pressure washing / soft washing business. The problem that I have with this video is that when you have a business it is very hard to convince someone to hire you as a contractor to clean their home or sidewalks and charge them about $1,000 if not more when all they have to do is watch this video. I am a small business owner here down south where the business is booming and the industry is flooded. unfortunately when people see how easy it truly is to clean a home it's hard to keep the business going when they can pretty much do everything you can do and just pay less. Awesome video just keep in mind that if you own a business in the soft wash / pressure washing industry this is pretty much hurting your own business because your potential future clients can simply watch these videos and learn how to clean their own home without paying the high price that is charged.

Eventually, I'd like to remove the asbestos shingles, but my house is over 130 years old and I'm unsure how it looks under it. However, one side of my house (facing closely to a neighbor's house) has the original wood siding, that looks in phenomenal condition. So, perhaps one day I'll consider it.

    Jason, I was under the impression that the "bleach" solution is sodium hypochlorite. Is sodium hypochloride something different? Pool shock is sodium hypochlorite, which is what I’m using. Am I using the wrong stuff? Also, I’ve been using Dawn dish detergent. How exactly does it "fight the sodium hypochlorite/hypochloride?’ I have seen no ill effects from it. Not that I’m aware of anyway. With all due respect sir, I am not trying to be a jerk here, but you are offering instructional content. You are the teacher. Thank you.

      Chip Mohan you are using the correct solution. If you live in the United States, I suggest Pressure Tek soap Elemonator for your soap. Great surfactant.

    • @kingofpressurewash
      @kingofpressurewash  Před 5 lety

      Yes you are right. I should not have said hypochroride
      So you are using the right stuff.
      Is it OK to mix bleach and Dawn?
      Read the back of the Dawn (or other dish soap) bottle. Some varieties of Dawn say nothing about bleach -- these are OK to mix. There is at least one (blue) that specifically says "Do Not Mix With Bleach." This one is not safe.

    Hey what's going on Jason! I have a quick question,#1. what's the total cost of all the equipment you use to wash the house and,#2 will all the equipments fit in a car because I don't own a truck or a van, #3. Is the business profitable? Can you and/or the business make millions if you work very hard

    • @kingofpressurewash
      @kingofpressurewash  Před 3 lety +1

      You could buy enough equipment that will go in the back of a car to get started. All you really need is a pressure washer and hose and a downstream injector

    • @dwade6322

      @@kingofpressurewash only problem w/a car is,when transporting a power washer,it runs way too hot to put it back in the car when your done a job. You would have to let it sit over an hour in the summer for it to completely cool off. Otherwise you chance melting parts of your trunk or back of car.
